Just booked in Charlottesville

Just booked in Charlottesville
This lovely studio plus kitchen will provide a private and cozy home base for your time in Charlottesville. A lofted queen bed nook and a futon accommodate up to 3 guests comfortably. The neighborhood is very central to UVA and downtown. Pets considered with additional $30/day/pet. 7% Charlottesville Occupancy Tax included with nightly fee.
This lovely studio is the back portion of a small free standing house in the neighborhood of 10th & Page. If you book, I want you to get exactly what you expect or to exceed your expectations so please take some time to look over the pictures (if you click on the you will see a description), read through the description of the neighborhood, the layout of the beds, etc. and thanks for considering! The lofted sleeping space features a memory foam queen mattress (on the floor) in a private little nook. ***Please take a good look at the pictures, this super cozy nook is not appropriate or appealing for everyone due to the ladder access and ceiling height. The futon (the gray couch in the pictures) on the main floor pulls down to provide a small bed for one additional person (it's between a full and a twin size so tight for two). The kitchen features plenty of space for two people to cook together. There is a full sized refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and double electric burner. The front of the house is a separate apartment that may or may not be occupied when you're there (the access and internal spaces are completely separate). There is a gas fireplace & two space heaters as well as baseboard heat. Two window units provide the a/c. There is one off street parking space that is shared with the front apartment, first come first served. There is street parking in the neighborhood. Please note, there is no tv at this listing.
The neighborhood of 10th & Page is very conveniently located, socio-economically and racially diverse, quiet, and friendly residential part of town tucked between downtown and UVA. Please understand that I provide a centrally located, budget alternative to Charlottesville hotels in a real and diverse neighborhood. If this isn't your style or you are perhaps looking to be catered to a bit more, I recommend a hotel or different listing because I want your trip to meet or exceed your expectations. It is very important to us to have good relations with our neighbors and to keep up a good name for airbnb so we ask that you are courteous and respectful with your noise levels, at night and outside especially, and observe parking rules.

This 350 sq ft cottage is a tiny home concept space, boasting an airy entry, living area, storage landing, kitchenette, bathroom and sleeping loft. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a work retreat, a stop through town on the way to another location, a small family, or a group of friends participating in the many events held in Charlottesville- weddings, concerts, triathlons. Accommodates 1-4 people looking for a relaxed, stylish, modern and comfortable place to stay.
This cottage is just really cool. Oxford Cottage is a modern Tiny House. It is larger than a standard hotel suite and provides everything you need in a home base during your travels. It is energy efficient and insulated and feels like a tree house, even though it is on the ground. Situated behind the main house on a .75 acre lot, Oxford Cottage is located in a cute, private setting in the heart of Charlottesville! On the interior, the ceilings are tall, which makes the space feel much larger than it is. The large windows allow for beautiful natural light and views of the surrounding trees and birds. There is plenty of space for 1-2 people, but 4 adventurous souls could stay and be cozy. The beds and furnishings are comfortable and well appointed and linens and towels are provided. There is central heating and air and a ceiling fan. It is a very basic and relaxed space. There is no TV, but there is free, super fast fiber Wifi so you could stream away on your phone, iPad, etc. The kitchenette has a microwave, small induction cook top, refrigerator freezer and a toaster oven. There are enough dishes and silverware, mugs, cups and wine glasses for up to 4 people. One important note about the stairs to the loft, is that they are steep and you will need to take your time going up and down. Use the handrails and watch your noggin at the top. It's easier to come down them backwards, like you would a ladder on a boat. Toddlers and folks with knee or hip issues should not use them. (We can provide a safety gate if you have a little kiddo). You can also just decide to sleep on the futon in the living area if you do not wish to navigate the stairs. They are sturdy and well built, but they are not a standard stair case. We have taken care to build and maintain a low impact building. Please turn off the lights when leaving the cottage and be aware of water usage. We provide low impact shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and shave cream, and toilet paper and paper towels. There is a hair dryer and iron. The cottage is also available for rent along with the main house if you have a larger party during the Holidays or Graduation.
Oxford Cottage is located in one of the oldest, most family friendly neighborhoods in Charlottesville. There are lots of old, tall trees and maturely landscaped yards that create a serene and pretty setting. Folks are frequently walking their dogs and strolling their babies. The location can't be beat. It is 10 minutes from the UVA campus, Historic Downtown and the Barracks Road area. If you are in town for business, graduation, football games, weddings, Foxfield, or just for leisure, you can get everywhere you need to by car within 10 minutes. If you want to walk, it's about 20 minutes to downtown and UVA and about 15 minutes to Barracks Road.

A cute space for two in the heart of Charlottesville in a quiet neighborhood. A private space with self check-in using a keypad entrance. A queen-sized Murphy bed. Quaint living space. Private full bathroom. Access to laundry machines. A small coffee bar. Ample street parking. 1.5 mile walk from downtown and a block to the bus stop. My fiancée and I live on the second and third floors of the house. We welcome guests of all backgrounds. Also, pets just let us know if they will be joining you.
The TV is setup with an Amazon Firestick including access to HBO, Netflix, Hulu, etc. We are an eco-friendly household - we use non-toxic cleaning supplies & offer eco-friendly/non-toxic shower gel, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent. Noise level: We currently have a 7 month old puppy, who is still learning puppy manners. He does not have access to the guest suite, but it's possible you will hear him barking although we do our best to keep him quiet. We have a pretty active lifestyle with friends coming and going so during the day you may hear us going about our life, but we do try to keep it down at night when we have guests. Feel free to message us if you are bothered by any noise and we will do our best to accommodate. Just a reminder to not smoke in the suite. It is in our house rules, but just want to reiterate.
We live in a quaint neighborhood close to downtown Charlottesville. The street is on a cul-de-sac so it is very quiet.

a nice neighborhood and a short 5 minute walk to the Sprint Pavilion and its music; the historic downtown mall with its restaurants, shops, and theaters; and the free trolley to UVA Belmont's special restaurants are only 2 blocks away. Sip coffee or wine from your own private balcony.
My house is so close to everything, you can literally walk everywhere. Great Belmont restaurants are only 3 blocks from here and the historic downtown mall is a 5 minute walk with its boutiques, restaurants and music at the Sprint Pavilion ! You can sit and enjoy your own private balcony in the treetops overlooking the garden, ivy-covered gazebo (which you can use), and fish pond, with goldfish, frogs and visiting birds! Inside the apt. you will be surrounded by original art from around the world; bamboo wallpaper; and a vaulted ceiling with its east-facing high window bringing in intricate light designs. The wicker sitting area has full media access to cable TV along with Netflix, Hulu and HBOgo when you want some down time. The modern bath/kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave, and toaster oven.
My house is in Belmont and a 5 minute walk to the Historic Downtown Mall and the Sprint Pavilion, with it's free live music every friday during the summer from 5 to 8. Directly across from the house is the Bridge Art Cooperative with it's First Friday events and next to it is Lampo, one of the most popular restaurants in Charlottesville, great for lunch and dinner. Other popular belmont restaurants are a 2 blocks walk. Although there are a lot of activities close to the house, the apt. is quiet as is the balcony as it faces the residential neighborhood.

Wenzhao and Chris's room was gorgeous, really beautifully decorated. The private bathroom was clean and well-equipped. Their apartment is perfect for anyone visiting UVA, as it is right on campus. But it's also very close to the Trolley for going downtown. Also, Wenzhao and Chris are really nice and friendly people, who create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Their cat is charmer. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Joey's apartment was perfect - well-located, immaculate, quiet. Joey was a responsive and welcoming host who left helpful tips and cold local cider in the fridge. Everything was easy to find, and my stay was very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend Joey's charming place, and will stay there again next time I'm in town.
