Our home is situated in a quiet road 15 minute walk to the train station with direct lines into London and a 10 minute drive to Southend Airport. Leigh town is just a 10 minute walk away with plenty of good restaurants and interesting shops. Another 5 minutes walk and you can be in Old Leigh, a lovely little fishing village with Pubs, cockle sheds and a beach. We're a 5 min walk to a Country Park which has a golf course surrounded by woods, horseriding, bowling, and a good restaurant.
We have a newly decorated guestroom available, not huge but it fits a double bed and bedside table. It has an en suite wet room, toilet and basin. Tea and coffee making facilities are available to you. We have a room directly below which we call the snug. This room has a TV with Netflix , comfy suite and a log burning fire and would be available exclusively to you.
Although we live in a nice peaceful road, everything you need is within walking distance. There is a Waitrose and a Sainbury's 5 minutes walk away. At the top of our road, The Rosy Lee is a good English diner during the days and does a very nice English breakfast and on Friday and Saturday evenings becomes a very good Morroccan restaurant. The Oakleigh is our nearest bar/restaurant with an American menu and is a 10 minute walk away. Mad Dogs And Englishmen serves delicious afternoon teas in a beautiful setting and is just around the corner. Leigh Town has countless good bars and restaurants .

Welcome to the boat room! A quaint and cosy naval-themed double room, perfect for a nice weekend getaway. We're just 5 minutes walk from Leigh Broadway, 10 minutes walk from Old Leigh and 15 minutes walk to Leigh station. This means our room is perfect for guests visiting the delights of Leigh on Sea for a weekend away, or for guests on business to London looking for an alternative accommodation to escape the big smoke. (Central London is less than 50 minutes away by direct train.)
This is one room in a 3 bedroom maisonette. Although not a private bathroom, the bathroom is directly opposite the room, which means you'll be virtually undisturbed. (Although we're very happy to see you if you want to say hello!)
Leigh on Sea was listed in 2018 as the happiest place in the UK by Rightmove and it shows! All the neighbours are friendly and there's a fantastic sense of community in the area. The property has local shops (and a local Wetherspoons) barely 300 metres away on the the London Road. The Broadway is also less than 5 minutes walk away in the other direction, offering an exciting array of small businesses including boutiques, cafes, late-night bars and reasonably priced restaurants. (Ask us for recommendations!) The famous Old Leigh is a little way past that (but still no more than 10 minutes walk from the property) boasting a selection of proper pubs and fish and chips. (Where you may well bump into us!) The High street, Old Leigh also has some very high end restaurants including The Boatyard. We're also very lucky to have a sandy beach in Old Leigh as well as a larger pebble and sand beach at Chalkwell (20 minutes walk away.)

Very peaceful home in a quiet area, beautiful garden with lots of plants both in and outdoors. There are two bathrooms so although the bathroom is categorised as shared, it would be for the most part for use by guests. There isn't a TV, however there is a fast Broadband connection which enables online streaming of the usual favourites. It is a relaxing environment and you would be encouraged to feel at home. This is also home to Missy the cat - although she is elusive around strangers.
Being positioned in the heart of Leigh, you will be delighted to know that most things you need are a short walk away. Leigh shopping area only a few minutes on foot, offers a plethora of independent shops offering anything from fashion, to art, to home accessories. Fortunately this includes practicalities like supermarkets, banks and a post office. Walk little further down Church steps and you will find yourself in the charming surrounds of Old Leigh, where a perfect evening can be had watching the fishing boats arrive home with their catches whilst enjoying the sunset. Our home is situated in a quiet road 15 minute walk to the train station with direct lines into London and a 10 minute drive to Southend Airport. Leigh is just a 10 minute walk away with plenty of good restaurants and interesting shops. Another 5 minutes walk and you can be in Old Leigh, a lovely little fishing village with Pubs, cockle sheds and a beach. We're a 5 min walk to a Country Park which has a golf course surrounded by woods, horseriding, bowling, and a good restaurant.
The guest bedroom has a double bed and a single. It is a lovely light room with plenty of space. The bathroom which is exclusively available to you is on the ground floor. I have supplied dressing gowns for your convenience. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of biscuits available in your room .We have a room directly below which we call the snug. This room has a TV with Netflix , comfy suite and a log burning fire and would be available for your use.

My place is at the heart of Leigh-on-Sea Old Town, with its cockle boats, waterside pubs and restaurants, sea birds and beach. You’ll love my place because of the location, the views, and being at the cosy centre of a lively seaside village. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
This is a first-floor flat on the water front in Leigh on Sea Old Town. It has its own entrance with digital lock, so you check in any time without having to pick up a key. The space available comprises: Main bedroom, with king size double bed. Second bedroom has twin beds, which could be placed side-by-side for a couple. The third bedroom is a little smaller with a single/double convertible bed, and has great estuary views. The lounge/living-/sitting room has a balcony fronting onto the estuary, to be shared with a very lively grape vine! The bath and shower room is separate from the WC. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and a few basics such as tea, coffee, salt and pepper.
Leigh is an old fishing village, mentioned in the Doomsday book in 1086. It is still important for cockle fishing, and the cockle sheds where they are landed are a local landmark. One of the best-known cockle stalls, Osborne's, is almost next-door, and provides great snacks! A couple of minutes' walk along the High Street is the local fishermen's cooperative shop, if you fancy bringing home some fresh fish to cook. We've had our fair share of celebrity chefs filming outside the flat. I happened to have a bottle of Stein wine in the fridge which I shared with Rick Stein a few years ago, and earlier this year my next-door-neighbour showed Jamie Oliver how to cook local mussels. There are waterfront pubs to accommodate most tastes along the High Street, one or two restaurants, plus a wider choice on the Broadway, at the top of Leigh Hill. There is a small beach at the end of the High Street, about 3 minutes' walk from the flat. The flat itself has views over the tidal estuary which appeal to birdwatchers, and Two-Tree Island (a 20-minute walk along the front has some bird hides. For fun-loving junior guests, Southend sea front (3 miles or so) boasts Adventure Island, claiming to be the largest free-entry amusement park in the country. For the more sedate who like to promenade, Southend Pier likewise claims to be the longest pleasure pier in the world, at a mile and a quarter. For those interested in Plantagenet History, Constable's paintings and/or Olympic Cycling History, Hadleigh Castle is about 45 mins walk along the coast path.
