The apartment is romantic, full of antiques, and has a super comfy king size bed. If you love food, you are within walking distance of some great restaurants located either uptown on Magazine Street or downtown in the Warehouse District / CBD. There is a lovely bar right next door, an awesome coffee shop right across the street and a microbrewery with half a block. You are just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter as well. I own this house, live in the building, and do all the booking, communication and cleaning myself so I'm here to make your stay as great as possible with a a personal touch! I love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.

Just 1 block off of the famous Magazine Street, you'll not only be seconds away from the best shopping and restaurants, but mere minutes away from the WWII Museum, Downtown, and Bourbon Street!
While the house is over 100-yrs old, you'd never be able to tell (other than the rumored ghosts...but, that's a story for another time.) The apartment is fully-furnished with all digital washer and dryer, stove, oven, dish washer, and all the essentials to make your stay just like home. Of course, there's free WiFi, Chrome Casts and flat screens in both the common space and bedroom, for all your entertainment and binging needs! If you don't feel like walking the half a block to one of our city's favorite coffee shops, there's also a full assortment of our favorite local coffees, both with chicory and without. The living room has a queen-sized pullout-sleeper couch, so just let me know if there's more people in your party and we'll make something work! While I live on the property, I respect your privacy and will not bother you unless you want me too, haha. There is also side area that we've converted in to a great spot to watch our summer sunsets! So, the space should have everything that you'd ever need, because we're always adding and taking suggestions. But! If you need something that isn't there, or can't find something that is, just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate!
My house is in a great quiet neighborhood where everyone talks to everyone. Most of the families living on my block have lived here for generations. But, there are plenty of young new couples as well. You may also even run into a celebrity or two, since Second Line Movie Studios is just around the corner. There are two parks within two blocks, in either direction, Coliseum Square and Annunciation Square. There is a Wal-Mart just 10 blocks away. Mardi Gras World and the New Orleans Convention Center are only 12 blocks away. Not to mention, there are several breweries with great eats close by. And, this being being New Orleans there are countless restaurants and bars within walking distance, all ranging from rooftop and fancy, to casual diners or local dives. And, everyone (including me) will line up to share their opinions on their favorite options around!

This is a private guest suite located above a restaurant with an awesome view of St Charles and the streetcar line. THERE ARE STAIRS. I have a total of 3 Airbnb units in this building and all share the hallway to the stairs and entrance door. There is a memory foam queen mattress on the bed with freshly bleached/laundered sheets, duvet, and pillow shams. I change all of the bedding between guests, including the duvet cover. That may sound silly but many places do not change the duvet cover every time and I do. There is a full bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, nice, soft toilet paper, soft tissues, a lint roller, Qtips, bug spray, sunscreen, dental floss, a hairdryer, hand soap, and air freshener! I also provide freshly bleached/laundered towels: two full size, one hand size, and a wash cloth per guest. There is also a desk with a lamp, scissors, pens and pencils, and an electrical outlet nearby. I also have a standing fan in the room and the air conditioner/heater is controlled in the room. In the closet is an iron and ironing board, hangers, a mini fridge with bottled water and other items for your consumption, a microwave, and a few cleaning supplies and paper towel. There is a small television with local tv and a DVD player in the room as well. I also provide a Keurig coffee maker with options for coffee and hot tea, disposable dishware, and other little touches and treats here and there. There is also wifi, generally with three different signals accessible in the building.
This is the best location. It is located on Saint Charles Ave and directly in front of a streetcar stop. It is considered on the edge of the Lower Garden District and it is super close to many options for food, drink, and fun. Obviously there is pizza at the restaurant downstairs but there is also a barbeque joint next door, a gin distillery and coffee shop across the street, and a few 24 hour bars a few blocks away. That isn't even to mention all many other options within walking distance. This is generally a safe area and not scary or vacant of people at any time of day or night.

Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room, an equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, a deep tub, and stainless steel appliances. And a great book collection too. The apartment is designed for two people. A Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) Queen bed is in the bedroom, and it's very comfortable! There is no longer a pull-out sleeper couch; however, you can sleep comfortably on the standard (Restoration Hardware, down-filled) couch by simply removing the back cushions. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. Public "blue bikes" are one block away too. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river. Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but semi-run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.

The 2 story out building opens up to a brick courtyard. This room sleeps 2 in a Queen size bed and shares newly renovated ground floor bathroom with our Courtyard Room. Solid cypress shutters offer a quiet retreat after a day of exploring or working. Our location is unique in the city and is not a quiet residential street by day. Nights and weekends however are a peaceful change from commerce serving the Port of New Orleans. Our neighbor, a wedding venue, has music till midnight on weekends.
This second story balcony room is furnished with a Danish modern Queen size bed. The rooms' partition wall is made with antique solid Cypress doors. Full of morning light, the room has 2 windows and 2 french doors. Handmade curtains offer privacy. If you want to sleep in and keep the room dark, the original 1834 solid cypress shutters can provide that. The room has its own stocked refrigerator, toaster and electric kettle. Its important for some guests to know that the newly renovated bathroom, for our Balcony room, is down the outside stairs. By all accounts, the room is worth the experience!
This has been our home since 1981, the 3 story main building faces Tchoupitoulas Street and the river. The 2 story out building is nestled in the heart of our historic municipal square #80. We are bounded by Race, Religious, Orange and Tchoupitoulas streets. The collection of buildings that remain at our down river end of the block were all built by Laurent Millaudon, a French sugar planter and investor. The buildings were investment rental property in the early 1830s. Today little remains of our old neighborhood but now the visitor has an urban landscape and a river vista unparalleled in the city. We are not situated on a sleepy corner in the Crescent City. During business hours Monday through Friday you can hear the vitality of the Mississippi with train whistles, ships horns and many trucks coming and going to our busy port. After hours and on weekends you may be surprised at the calm, serenaded by song birds and Monk Parrots. Music too, jazz bands, entertaining guests next door at Race & Religious, a wedding venue. We are uniquely located for the visitor who is here for work or play. Some reference points from 1503 Tchoupitoulas: 2 blocks down river to the Morial Convention Center. 4 blocks to the Second Line Studio, a full service motion picture sound stage. We are minutes away by car from the Central Business District, Federal courthouse and the vibrant Arts and Museum District. Walking from 1503 its always recommended that you walk up Race St to Magazine or Camp St if you want to walk to Canal Street and the French Quarter. Its about a 25 minute walk to the FQ. For any immediate necessities beyond what we offer in your room we have a Super Walmart 4 blocks up Religious St. on the river.
