A warm, cosy terraced three storey house on a quiet back street close to Macclesfield Town Centre and South Park
My house is on a quiet street close to the town centre and South park. We are ideally located for journeys into the Manchester, with it taking an hour by car or twenty minutes on the train which is a ten minute walk away. Macclesfield also offers some stunning walking and cycling paths, with the forest, canal and Middlewood way all close by. I have a dog so guests need to be dog friendly, but he's very friendly. I also work from home so spend most of the day in and out. The house is three storey, with the ground floor offering the lounge and kitchen. The first floor is where the guest bedroom is as well as the shared bathroom. The top floor is where my bedroom is located. There is internet available in the house, and the only TV (freeview) is located in the spare room for your personal use. I am out most evenings, and in and out throughout the day. Although privacy is no an issue as I will mainly be on the top floor if I am in in the evening. There is tea and coffee next to the kettle for you to use. My house is great for individuals or couples.
Located on a quiet street with the park and town centre all within five minutes walk. Futher afield, you can discover the stunning scenery around, including Macclesfield forest and the canal.

Flat 1, Charles Roe Chambers, is substantial. It is located in central Macc, a vibrant historic market town with thriving businesses 7 days/wk. The flat offers an emperor double bed, twin beds, a high quality metal frame sprung double sofa bed (no sofa bed compares to a full mattress but this is as close as we've found) and a well equipped living area that includes a 7' free play pool table, desk, dining table and kitchen. My wife and I run the businesses in the next door property, offering finest cafe cuisine, functions and a private GP practice.

My place is a cosy three bedroomed end of terrace house on a very quiet and pleasant street within 10 minutes walk of Macclesfield railway station and the town centre. I have one bedroom available for guests - it has a compact 4ft (1200mm) double bed - so if there are two of you then you need to be good friends! There is a shared bathroom (always kept clean!) with an over bath shower. Downstairs there are three shared rooms - sitting room, dining / TV room and a small but well equipped kitchen. As a guest you might find yourself sharing the house with me, Andy the host, and/or my long term housemate Mimi who is a young Austrian female studying in Macclesfield for a year.
The house is in a nice neighbourhood on a pleasant and quiet street. It is within 10 minutes walk of Macclesfield rail and bus stations and town centre, but also on the edge of the Peak District with easy access on foot or by car to some beautiful countryside and hills. There is a small park within 200m. There is a big Tesco and an Aldi both within 10 mins walk and two Local Co-ops closer still. 4 Local pubs within 5 min walk, and lots of nice places to eat and drink in the town.

This building is an old mill workers house situated down a quiet mews with a dedicated parking space right outside the front door. Its within a few minutes drive from the Peak District with its many hikes and views and a 10 minute walk into the centre of Macclesfield and the station.
The house has been simply renovated recently with a retro twist and furnished with a number of pieces bought at the monthly Macclesfield Treacle Market. Although small it has a cosy feel and is tucked away down a quiet street with no passing traffic.
The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful and the mews is particularly quiet having hardly any passing traffic. There is a canal round the corner with a pub ( The Puss in Boots) and garden next to it. You can walk along this canal to reservoirs and The Leather Smithy pub. Once a month Macclesfield holds The Treacle Market ( last weekend of the month) which has hundreds of stalls selling local food produce, local crafts and vintage items. Some of the pictures and furniture pieces in the property are from this market. Its a great local event where you can shop or just kick back with a drink and listen to the live music in the main market square. A few minutes drive from the house you are in the hills of the Peak District with its many walks and amazing views. In the property you'll find a number of hiking books and as well as information leaflets of the walking areas. Don't forget your hiking boots !

Apartment Town Centre is located in the heart of Macclesfield, just off the main shopping street of Chestergate on the cobbles of Little Street. The apartment is in a Grade II listed building, and is part of the Little Street Silk Mill site, which was one of the earliest Silk Mills in the historic silk town of Macclesfield. Little Street is restricted to traffic, which makes for a quieter location, despite its closeness to the town centre.
The apartment has just undergone a complete refurbishment, and has oak parquet flooring, a new fitted kitchen, cast iron column rads and furniture in keeping with the property.
The apartment is located on Little Street, which is just off the main shopping street of Chestergate, with its many cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Chestergate terminates at the Town Hall on Market Place, where the Treacle Market (last Sunday of each month) draws in visitors from near and far. Well worth a visit if you're staying at that time. Little Street itself is a cobbled backwater, with restricted vehicular access. This results in a quieter street, despite its closeness to amenities of the town centre. Its approx 7-8 min walk from the train station, and a 1 minute walk from the council run 'Whalley Hayes' car-park which operates on a pay-and-display basis (the machines take cards and cash).

On the lower level is a double bed, wardrobe space and a bed settee can be converted to a bed.
I am working to be environmentally friendly in all I do and encourage your active participation by reducing and Recycling: Food-waste (not meat or fish) can be composted and there is a bin by the side of the ramp, use the paper sacks provided. The grey Council bins across from the car park are for mixed recycling (glass, plastic, cardboard, aluminum foil, cans, and tins). The black bins are for waste that can’t be recycled (plastic bags, plastic wrapping, sweet wrappers, black plastic, dog waste bags, etc.) There are multiple use shopping bags in the apartments. Please leave newspapers in the apartment as we use in compost. On sunny days please air-dry washed clothes on the clothesline (pegs in the washroom cupboard). No smoking is permitted in or around the properties.
FARM I am converting this old subsistence hill farm of 4- hectares (10- acres) into a wildlife area, and it adjoins the 81- hectares (200- acres) Tegg’s Nose Country Park, so we act as a wildlife source for the Park. The general area has much monoculture grass, grown for silage so devoid of wildlife. In the field across from the apartments we are creating a wildlife meadow that will be the larger and highest in the Peak area. The UK has lost 97% of its wildlife meadows in 100 -years. The 18- metre by 14- metre nature pond created in the farm garden also the largest pond at this elevation in the area. You can see the pond dipping results below, it was –very challenging on a hill – so we added swales to keep water longer on the land and form a different nature habitat. There is an orchard in the lowest field plums apples and nuts. The wind is a challenge and we use a willow windbreak. The single oak there is at least 250 -years old. All of the (seven species) hedges have been planted, and with dry stone walling replacing the barbed wire. This walling also provides habitat. A kestrel is often seen hunting over the top hedge. We manage the land using non-certified vegan organic permaculture: this is no chemical, “no- dig” using old straw mulches on top of cardboard, and we produce compost on a grand scales so your box helps. The garden is being converted to a Forest Garden which means a combination of plants and trees to provide food.
