  • Beth is an absolutely wonderful host - so incredibly friendly, and she made us feel so welcome! The property itself is so cosy and we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you Beth!

    Erika2018-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's fabulous annex was perfect for us. Newly appointed in a very stylish manner, loads of space, fabulous bed, sparkling bathroom, plenty of parking space and the perfect stopover for us as we took a trip to the Principality Stadium. If you need to go to Cardiff and want to avoid the fuss and traffic, I couldn't recommend Beth's home more highly.

    Kim2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Beth’s. Private annexe with your own entrance, kitchen and bathroom with off street parking. Very comfortable accommodation.

    Lindsay2019-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The annex was clean and well appointed with a welcoming feel. Beth had left a jug of squash in the fridge which was lovely given the heat when I visited. She is a lovely host. I could not fault her annex which would be my top choice if I am ever in the area again. 10/10

    Gill2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place ticks all the boxes. It's clean, spacious and just a short walk from local restaurants and a Coop. It includes private parking off-road and all the comforts, even some fresh milk and tea bags in the kitchen to help yourself with a nice cup of tea.

  • Fantastic place and perfect tranquil setting! Really enjoyed our time here just relaxing, looking out at the lovely surroundings and a cosy evening in by the fire! Exactly what you need if you just want to shut off and enjoy some quality time outside of everyday life! Met Sally briefly as well and she was lovely and left us some of the basics to get started with a decent cuppa! Would recommend and stay again!

We have included a floor plan in the listing to help you visualize how the space will best work for you and your group. We will clarify with you after you book exactly what is best for your group and will make arrangements accordingly. A small extra charge may be made for the extra laundry related to extra bedding but that can be handled through the AirBNB platform very simply.

Simon and Nicola’s place is great value for money and was hugely helpful for me as it meant I could afford to break up a long journey from the North to Devon with an overnight stay. This lovely 14' yurt is in an enclosed garden with its own shower cabin and veg/herb beds. Porch for coats & boots. Inside yurt: Twin or double bed, table & 2 chairs, tea making, microwave/grill, log burner, wifi,. Insulated, and bedecked with hessian & fairy lights. Outside: BBQ, decking, seating, awning with solar night lights, enclosed kitchen garden. Shower cabin: shower, flush loo, sink, heated towel rail & hot/cold water. A quiet & cosy haven, with easy access to countryside & towns.
COMFORTABLE, COSY, CONVENIENT. This is what we want for our own holidays so we have lovingly made this yurt into a place where you can escape, woken by birdsong and sit under the stars...but with the ease of simple cooking facilities, a shower and flush loo, proper chairs & table, wifi, and even the option of arriving to a lit fire, ready-made bed(s), and a light meal! You will find welcome portions of soap/shampoo and tea/coffee/milk. We will provide all bedding and towels, and could get your groceries in advance - very handy for those coming by public transport or pedal-power. You can help yourselves to the fresh herbs and vegetables in the raised beds of your private garden. There's also a washing machine. The yurt is in the extended garden of the home of Ruth & Graham Waddington, where we live with two teenagers and two cats. We also run Native Breeds Charcuterie ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) so can supply selection boxes of ready-to-eat cured & cooked meats.
Vinegar Hill is a winding old lane on the outer reaches of two old villages that have blended together - Undy and Magor. The area stretches down to the flood plains of the River Severn about 3 miles away, and you can stroll along its grass banks while admiring the elegance of two suspension bridges over the river. From Vinegar Hill, you can wander through rolling fields and deciduous woodland. Walk or cycle to our local nature reserves, woodlands and villages, with their pubs, shops, and churches. This region thrived during Roman times so there is much history to explore a 10-minute drive away at Caldicot Castle or among the exposed settlement ruins of Caerwent. Around 25 miles away are the ancient natural glories of the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean...or the sights & shops of Cardiff and Bristol.

Detached bungalow recently renovated to a high standard in the village of Llanvaches, near Newport / Chepstow. Close to world class golf courses at St Pierre and The Celtic Manor (2010 Ryder Cup), the Wye Valley with its stunning views and walks, and Caerleon / Caerwent with its ancient roman garrisons. Newport's business centre is within easy access, as is Cardiff by rail or motor. Our local restaurant is only a 500m walk down the country lane and there are a variety of traditional pubs nearby.
The Sheiling is largely dedicated to airbnb guests, with the hosts living nearby in the same village. It offers a relaxing rural experience with the conveniences of modern amenities and easy access to the all the attractions of the surrounding area.
Llanvaches is located roughly midway between the market town of Chepstow and the city of Newport. The village lies just north of the A48 road and below Wentwood Forest, with both Newport centre and Chepstow about 7 miles distant. The village is named after Saint Maches who according to tradition lived a humble life as a shepherdess in the 5th century but was killed by robbers stealing her finest ram. Saint Tathan, Abbot of nearby Caerwent, to whom the murderers confessed their crime, built a church on the spot where she was killed, which later became known as Llanfaches. The parish church largely dates from the 14th century and is dedicated to Saint Dubricius, with Bishops Transcripts dating back to 1725. In 2006 a hoard of 599 silver denarii, hidden in a locally made cooking pot, was found at Llanvaches by a metal detectorist. The coins, which are dated to about AD 160, are now held at the National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon.
  • We had a wonderful break at Jane and Rob’s bungalow. Check-in was seamless and upon arrival there was fresh baked bread, butter, jam, Prosecco and beer in the fridge. In addition to this there was tea, coffee milk and sugar available. The bungalow had everything you could possibly need plus more and was spotlessly clean. The location is perfect for those wanting a quiet relaxing break and has lovely views over the countryside. Wentwood Forest is close by for those who want to walk/cycle and it’s not too far from Ross on Wye. I would highly recommend you book this bungalow, you will not be disappointed.

  • A wonderfully quaint and peaceful break away from the normalities of life. Stylish, comfortable and clean! The fireplace helps to make those nights in even better. We loved the hot tub, which overlooked an amazing view. Would definitely return!

  • Beth is a great host. Excellent communication and useful tips for local walks out with the dog. The house is a fantastic space with all you could need for a family trip to Wales. Garden is HUGE and there is lots of room for kids (and dog) to play and run about. Location is easy to drive out and about and visit local attractions and shops are within a 10 minute walk . Overall we had a great time.

  • This property was great for our group of 7, including our kids ages 2 to 8. The house and garden are impressively huge and there were tons of toys and play areas my kids enjoyed. The best surprise was how easy the house was to find and how close it is to everything we wanted to see on our trip. Tintern Abbey was far closer than I expected as were several castles! The Co-op in the town square had everything we needed during our stay. Beth did provide milk, tea coffee and a few other things upon arrival, which was truly appreciated as we arrived at the house late in the evening. As a host, Beth is utterly kind and goes above and beyond expectations to make you feel welcome and well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
