Fully equipped amazing comfortable, and luxurious apartment is right in the heart of town, St Nicolas market - moments from the river walk and few minutes to harbourside and best sights, culture and nightlife of Bristol. Fully equipped the flat includes beautiful bright living space with big windows and view on the best street in town, double windows, kitchen, main bedroom with Queen bed and bathroom.
This spacious and extremely central apartment has a separate kitchen and living space with carpet all over it. The bedroom has a king size bed with fresh linens and towels, and a large closet with plenty of space for your clothes and storage needs. The kitchen is well equipped with brand new appliances, while the living space includes a double sofa-bed which can sleep two. The bathroom is very modern and clean, and includes a bath with glass screen shower over it.
History The Exchange dates back to the mid-18th century. However, it wasn’t until 1869, after nearly 30 years of housing a bi-weekly corn market, that the structure gained its now famous glass roof. Although the roof itself was replaced shortly after the Second World War, St Nicks holds onto much of its vintage charm. It is the last 18-century exchange building of its kind in the city. Nowadays, the market atmosphere remains, yet the Glass Arcade is now home to numerous independent food purveyors, eager to serve up culinary delights with a smile and a warm welcome. The Market Today There are plenty of different stalls to sample, but rest assured that you can’t go wrong with any of them. The team of traders cater for a variety of needs, be it lunch to go or more of a sit-down affair. The stalls themselves are famous in the city, for both the variety of their produce and the sheer deliciousness of what they’ve got to offer. Part of St Nicholas Market | © Jeremy Bolwell / Geograph Part of St Nicholas Market | © Jeremy Bolwell/Geograph Matina The first of these, when entering the glass Arcade from Castle Park, is the market’s newest addition. Matina serves up generous flatbread wraps, packed with Middle Eastern goodness in the form of lamb kofte, chicken, grilled halloumi, or a combination of all three. The breads themselves are made to order, kneaded lovingly before being slapped in a kiln to cook. For those not wishing to tackle a wrap, there is the option of having couscous to accompany your choice of filling, yet both the wraps and salad boxes are served with plenty of sauce and garnish. There’s a reason that you’ll find the biggest queue at the market here. Eat A Pitta, St Nicholas Market | © The Academy of Urbanism / Flickr Eat A Pitta, St Nicholas Market | © The Academy of Urbanism/Flickr Eat A Pitta Moving through the crowds, past Lucy Anna Flowers and Ahh Toots, you encounter another popular haunt. Eat a Pitta specialises in falafel, and not just any falafel – it’s some of the best in the city. Again, for those not in the mood for a bread-based lunchtime treat, salad boxes are available, too. Much like Matina, it’s best to arrive early or expect a healthy queue. The falafel itself is everything it should be, crisp on the outside with a lot more give in the middle. Filling, delicious, and healthy, it is easy to see why people flock here for their falafel fix. Caribbean Wrap Next up, opposite The Big Banana Juice Bar, you’ll find a true gem in the crown of the Arcade: the Caribbean Wrap. Here, you’ll find curry goat, jerk chicken, patties, and fish, all spiced to perfection and served in particularly healthy portions. The jerk chicken wrap is a real treat: succulent chicken partnered with a mango salsa that leaves the tastebuds tingling from its sweet and spicy mix of flavours. Dishes are available to have in as well. So, you can tuck into a plate of some of the tastiest Caribbean cuisine in Bristol, while watching the lunchtime crowds pass. Pie Minister | © Mélanie / Flickr Pie Minister | © Mélanie Girouard/Flickr Pieminister and Al Bab Mansour Next door is Pieminister, which has proper pies with lashings of gravy, peas, and mash. Having opened up their first shop in Stokes Croft, the Pieminister empire now stretches all over the UK, with even a shop in Amsterdam. Keep an eye out for their ‘Mothership’ deal, any pie with absolutely everything for a price that won’t hurt your pocket. Facing the pie merchants, Al Bab Mansour is guaranteed to get your mouth watering with a select menu of Moroccan cuisine served in a cosy cave of cushions. This is the place for a relaxing break, and you’ll find an authentic taste of North Africa transported to the South West. The Bristol Sausage Shop Just next door is perhaps a more local delicacy. The Bristol Sausage shop is the place to go for no-nonsense, wholesome English fayre, served in a roll or with mash and gravy. These luxury porky delights are available with a range of fillings, all lovingly handmade from the finest local produce. There’s very little more comforting than a sausage sandwich. The experts here serve up bangers that cuddle you from the inside while satisfying your hunger. Portuguese Taste and Surroundings Passion and care are evident in the food-making process among all of the stalls you’ll find in St Nicks, arguably none more so than Portuguese Taste. Whether it’s a beautiful plate of lovingly cooked peri-peri chicken that will make you never want to visit Nando’s again or one of their delicately delicious custard tarts, everything on the menu is authentic. It’s also very, very tasty indeed. On the other side of the Arcade, rubbing shoulders with The Real Olive Company famed for their vibrant salads and wraps, is an Italian kitchen. They have pasta, sandwiches and meatballs that carry with them a great deal of robust flavour and satisfaction. Facing this little taste of Italy, is Grillstock, perfect for carnivores looking for a smoky, slow-cooked bun of meaty satisfaction. Last but not least, Spice Up Your Life finishes off our tour of the Glass Arcade with their beautifully spiced selection of curries and snacks. St Nicholas Market | © The Academy of Urbanism / Flickr St Nicholas Market | © The Academy of Urbanism/Flickr More Than St Nicks If you’re hungry for more, there are more places to eat on St Nicholas Street, St Stephens Street, and Baldwin Street to sample. These include Bagel Boy, Pata Negra, Bao-Wow and Proven. Bristol is fast becoming renowned for its vibrant food and drink scene and, it must be said, St Nicks forms an integral part of the city’s burgeoning dining renaissance. St Nicholas Market was named as one of the ten best markets in the UK, and it is the living embodiment of what a market should be. And is home to the largest collection of independent retailers in Bristol. Opening Hours St Nicholas Indoor Market - Open Monday to Saturday, Corn Street. 9.30 - 5 Bristol Farmers’ and Producers’ Market - Every Wednesday, Corn Street and Wine Street. 8 - 2.30 Street Food Market – Every Tuesday & Friday, Wine Street. 10 – 2.30 The Nails Market - Every Friday & Saturday, Corn Street. 10 - 5 Bristol Farmers' and Producers' Market Every Wednesday Corn Street and Wine Street come alive with the hustle and bustle of traders selling the freshest produce available in the city. Farmers who have produced, grown or reared their produce within a 40 mile radius of the city attend the market selling a mouth watering selection of local goods, including freshly made apple juice, organic chicken, cheese, bread and much more. Come along to see for yourself, meet the traders and taste the 'Best of the West' at this award winning market. Every Wednesday 8am until 2.30pm on Corn Street and Wine Street. The 'Nails' Market This market is named after the unique brass pillars that are located on Corn Street which used to be used for the Exchange of money between traders and their customers, hence the phrase 'Paying on the Nail'. The first of the 'Nails' appears to be somewhat older than the rest, and probably dates from late in the reign of Elizabeth I or early in the reign of James I. The other Nails are inscribed with the years 1630, 1625 and 1631 and are a real example of Bristol's trading history. Many years later the sacks of corn and wheat have changed to hand crafted jewellery, pottery, photography, clothing and art work, many of which have been made by the traders themselves. Come along and visit The Nails Market, and really discover the difference. Every Friday and Saturday 10am - 5pm on Corn Street.

The house is located a short walk from the main bus station in an area that has been recently voted the 5th coolest place to live in the UK by The Times paper. It lies between two areas Stokes Croft and Cabot Circus. Stokes Croft and the Gloucester rd are jam-packed with local, independent shops, cafes and restaurants there are so many great places to explore my favourite spots are Poco for amazing Tapas, the new place to go Jamaica street stores for a taste sensation (if you can get a table!) or grab some food at the canteen check out the Banksy and breakdancing Jesus before catching live music every night from 8pm followed by late night dancing at no. 51, or the Love Inn. This whole area is full of street art and has the most independent shops of any street in the country. Cabot Circus on the other hand is the new modern shopping centre with a huge selection of designer shops, chain restaurants and a Cinema du Lux. A short walk past the Bus station and the infamous Bear Pit is St Nicholas market which has some of the best lunch spots in the whole of Bristol, I recommend every place in the market so go explore and see what you fancy, from here you can walk around the whole harbour area, visit the SS Great Britain, check out Cargo independent container shops/restaurants and the M shed Museum.

Our apartment is recently built. It has one room with double bed, sofa bed and table and chairs . A kitchenette with full size oven. The flat is located in a hidden lane. Right next to our house. It's above our work shop so there might be noise in a daytime. Apart from that our lane is quiet and peacefull. You can walk to the centre, Whiteladies rd. and Gloucester rd. in 20 min.University, hospital and BBC are around 10 min walk. Great for guests needing to be close to them. Parking is included.
Please note our flat is over 2 floors. There is space saving staircase through the apartment. It takes a little bit of getting used to. It might not be suitable to everyone. Please reffer to pictures in description. Sizewise although being over 2 floors flat is almost like studio. In upstairs bedroom is double bed, sofa bed and table and chairs. Downstairs is kitchenette and bathroom. Please reffer to pictures to get idea. It is suitable for couples or 2 friends. The workshop where airbnb flat is have office next to the bedroom. Most of the time we use workshop for storage or office use, from time to time my partner uses it for projects. It can be noisy in day time, however we try to be considerate to our guests to not come in too early and i always let my guests know in advance if there's going to be any noise Thank you for understanding. Otherwise it's very peaceful.
We live in Cotham, it's very nice residential area with some amazing Victorian buildings. You can walk in 5 minutes to St. Michaels hill. There are few cafes, pubs and nice vegan indian take away . If you like your coffee. There is artisan coffee roasters called 2 Days Coffee Roasters. And very handy late opening food store co-op. Just around the corner turning left from Hartfield ave is small convenience store. You can get nice bread and milk there. Other essentials even all day Sunday. A michellin star restaurant Bulrush is few doors up from the shop. There are loads of other places to eat on Cotham hill. It's again about 7 min walk straight over roundabout as walking to St. Michael's hill. If you like some music there are plenty of bars on Stokes croft and Gloucester rd. It takes about 15-20min walk, similar time frame is to walk to city centre and Waterfront. If you'd like more recommendations please let me know.

Quiet, comfortable room in a 60s house on an award winning small estate right in the city centre. A few hundred yards' walk to Bristol University, the BRI, Children's and St Michael's Hospitals as well as the BBC. Parking available on request. Convenient for the Colston Hall, Old Vic Theatre, Everyman Cinema, Watershed, Hippodrome and Harbourside - all within walking distance. Great restaurants on the doorstep - Bulrush, Pasta Loco, Adelina Yard, Papadeli, Primrose Cafe, Tiffin .........
Stay in a house designed in the 1960s. We really enjoy its original, bold design and its light filled spaciousness. We are trying to do it justice in a style true to its era. It's on a small estate designed to be traffic free, with each house having a sunny private garden and all parking on the periphery. Very little has changed because it works so well. This is a mixed and very friendly community - we love the big skies and many amenities of this fantastic location on top of St Michael's Hill in Kingsdown. There are dozens of renowned restaurants, cafes and bars within a few minutes' walk; lots of independent shops for brilliant finds on the doorstep, as well as in Clifton Village - a 20 minute stroll away. The beautiful Clifton Lido which is one of the very best reasons for a visit to Bristol, is even closer. Montpelier and Stokes Croft are 10 minutes' walk from us. Public transport is nearby - reliable buses, train stations, car clubs and bikes are all conveniently available within walking distance. But getting around the city on foot is often the best and quickest way to travel from here! Free wifi access is provided.
Right in the middle of everything - access to all that the city has to offer is easy and fast. The architecture of this area reflects the history of Bristol - from the civil war fort through Georgian and Victorian terraces to the modern buildings of the hospitals and university - including our unusual small 60s estate based on a Danish design and built after WW2 to replace dwellings destroyed by bombing (and then Bristol City Council)!

Toad Lodge is an Italianate villa situated in a quiet area of Bristol about a 15 minute walk from the city centre or the vibrant area of Gloucester Rd. Decor is eccentric with a touch of kitsch. Personally run by Madam Toad for over 25 years. Guests are always personally greeted by the proprietor herself. Breakfast is served in the dining room at a communal table between 8a.m -9a.m.
Free wi-fi is, naturally, available, all bedrooms have television and tea or coffee making facilities. The bathroom is a short distance away and is shared with one other bedroom. The Green Room has two beds and has a maximum occupancy of two persons in total Madam Toad tends to go out on Saturdays and Sundays, so on those days we respectfully ask guests to arrive either before 1 pm or after 5 pm. Well behaved pets are welcome, though not in the dining room, and we would request that dogs are kept on their leads . Thank you.
Toad Lodge is situated in the district of Cotham, although a quiet location it is very near to such venues as the Hippodrome, the City Museum and the Gloucester Rd (the longest road of independent shops in the UK) It is also conveniently near the University of Bristol and the BRI and Childrens Hospital.

Welcome to Stokes Croft the colourful Bohemian quarter of Central Bristol. The Townhouse is a few minutes walk from Cabot Circus then onto the City Centre. It is also very close to the main Bus Station, M32 and a 20 minute walk to the Train Station. The house is clean, has a well equipped communal kitchen, extremely comfy beds and lovely hot powerful showers. Super-fast WiFi throughout. Free Tea, Coffee, Cereal and Toast is included. Perfect for Professionals and Tourists. Have a great stay!
A room is only as comfortable as the bed in it and I'm happy to say the Hypnos mattress is top of the range and pocket sprung with duck down duvet and 100% Egyptian cotton sheets. The room has a varnished solid pine floor and there is plenty of storage in the walk in closet. Urban Art decorates the walls. Nice high ceilings. You have access to 3 shared bathrooms including a large walk in shower. The house is 8 mins walk from the main Bus Station and 20 mins walk from Temple meads or a 5 min Uber. Bristol historically has 3 centres you can walk to all of them easily in 5-20 mins. Lots of on street parking if you are bringing a car. Free parking at the weekends and between 5pm and 9am during the week. Outside these times you will need a parking permit (Mon-Fri 9-5) I have them available they are £5 each please let us know in advance if you need some. All in all a great budget option for central Bristol!

Welcome to my home! My flat is on the doopstep of all the fun, arts and culture of vibrant Stokes Croft, whilst being comfortable and unbelievably quiet for a good night's sleep. Set just back from the main road, we're surrounded by great cafes, bars and restaurants. There is yoga studio in the same building! You’ll love the comfy bed, the well equipped kitchen and dining space, the warmth and unlimited WIFI. My place is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The large bedroom comes with loads of space to hang clothes, a really comfy double bed with lush sheets, designer bedside tables and bedside lamps. Curtains and blinds cut out most of the light, and it's remarkably quiet for such a central location. There's a selection of feather and synthetic pillows, and a plush down duvet on the bed. There's some local art on the walls and a selection of books in the bookcase. The bathroom has a full size bath, with shower and is equipped with all the essentials. The kitchen is well equipped with full size fridge freezer and washing machine, beside a kettle, toaster and all the usual cutlery and crockery. Plenty to be able to cook for four! The dining area has a solid wood dining table, which can seat four people. The living area has a really comfy L-shaped sofa, with loads of cushions and a coffee table. We have a 39" full HD LED TV, an Ipod dock for all your tunes and unlimited WIFI. There's also a range of books and DVDs for your use! The balcony area has a mosaic table and a couple of chairs with comfy pads for chilling on warm evenings and having beautiful sunny breakfasts. The whole flat is heated by a clever heat pump system, keeping it toasty warm and comfortable all day and night.
Stokes Croft is a vibrant and bright area of Bristol, a short walk from the city centre yet ful of bars, cafe, culture, art and pubs. Clifton and the Downs are within walking distance, as is the historic harbourside and all of Bristol to explore!

This is a quirky room in the basement of our house on the historic christmas steps in central Bristol. It’s part of a family house but the rest of us are on the other floors so it’s generally peaceful. It’s at the back of the house so no street noise at all. There’s a basement kitchen (oven, hob, sink, mini fridge, microwave and toaster) which is all yours, but our washing machine and freezer is here too. You have an en-suite shower/toilet (also v quirky!). You can lock the room from inside
You’ll be part of the house, and come in through a shared hallway. Your room is downstairs with its own bathroom and a view into a overgrown little courtyard space.

A super cool apartment that is a Grade II Bank conversion in central Bristol. Close to bars, restaurants, shopping, Museums. The price is higher, against other apartments in the area due to the vast size and quality. The perfect place to explore Bristol Old City. St Nicholas Market 2 - mins. walk. Recently used on BBC Poldark and BBC Drama My place is close to parks, art and culture, and restaurants and dining. You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, and the people.
A grade II listed bank in the heart of Bristol Old City. Located in a desirable location on Broad street, one of the Old Cities most ornate streets. As seen on the ITV Lorraine Show! The apartment is ground level and still has an original bank vault door, dating back to the 18th century. The bank vault is now the bathroom, with a secret room! The total space is 80 SQM2 so much larger than any standard hotel bedroom. All appliances are AEG, Bosch and Smeg. Bed is king size and very comfortable.
The apartment is located one of Bristol's oldest lanes, which we call our terrace. We share our terrace with Horts Pub, which can occasionally get busy. However we have a very good relationship with our neighbour Horts and noise is kept to a minimum at all times, with all guests being called in at 10.30pm.
