Heavy discounts for long-term stays! Steps from the High Line, and a block from major transportation, this immaculate, sunny room is perfectly situated in one of the most desirable downtown Manhattan neighborhoods! This is a private room in a four bedroom apartment. The apartment was decorated by a designer at an international fashion brand. The decor, over-sized windows and 11 foot ceilings represents the style, modernity, and warm feeling that the Chelsea has to offer.
The bedroom is one in a four bedroom apartment that is in the heart of prime Chelsea. Please note, the apartment does have a live in host - and other guests - but your bedroom is your private space and oasis in Chelsea. The room has a high bed so you can store your luggage underneath, a sturdy shelf near the bed to store items under and place your laptop or other items on, a small closet, and long mirror. It's a quiet building on a quiet street, but within walking distance of some of the most popular attractions in NYC. It's a block away from The High Line park. The apartment and room is tastefully decorated. The apartment itself features high ceilings that create a wonderful sense of space in the bedroom, while the large windows allow light to flood in during the day, while their double-paned glass keeps the street noise at bay. The room has a luxuriously soft mattress, private small closet in the room, blow dryer, vanity surface, and full mirror. The room is cozy as per Chelsea/NYC at 6 by 8 feet. The shared bathroom features a bidet toilet that maintains a heated seat, and a waterfall shower with large shower head and four faucets for frontal wash. You'll also have dedicated space in the bathroom, fridge and kitchen cabinets.
Chelsea is known as the Gallery District, and you will be steps from internationally renowned photography and art spaces that you can easily explore. In addition to being within walking distance of Time Square, the Empire State Building, Koreatown, Herald Square, Penn Station, and the Village, you are central enough to be to any major site in Manhattan quickly by train.
  • I had a great stay in the perfect location to explore NY!

    Stéphanie2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot in Chelsea for the price. Colin was extremely responsive and made check-in and check-our easy. Would stay here again.

  • Great place for a short stay, well connected and amazing location. The room was a little bit small and noisy but the flat is kept clean. There are several rooms in this Airbnb so don’t expect to be alone.

    Maurane2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a bedroom BUT the bedroom was clean, the amenities functional and the apartment modern and clean and it was in a great spot for me. I would stay here again!

    Bernadette2019-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Never have I experienced such a well organised communication process on Airbnb. Already weeks before my trip to NYC I got a lot of detailed and accurate information about the flat and the neighbourhood. The location was great, by the way. Room and flat are relatively small, but that was all I needed. I shared kitchen and bathroom with one of the hosts and some other tourists, but there weren't complications because of that. The hosts were friendly and considerate.

    Henning2019-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay here, the apartment was clean, stylish and in a very nice, safe area. The room as shown and described was snug but it has everything that you need. The communication with the host was excellent and getting the keys, finding the location was extremely easy. The host sent me regular tips and youtube videos before and during my stay that was very helpful. There was some street noise (to be expected in NYC) but there was a white noise machine in the room to help cancel that out. As a solo female traveler I felt extremely safe at all times and thanks to the host stress free. I was also able to keep my luggage in the apartment until my flight which was an added bonus.

    Leona2019-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Colin’s a great host and his apartment is outstanding. Very stylish, modern and is located in one of the best areas in Manhattan. Really safe and surrounded by good places for coffee, drinks and whatever you may need. Walking distance from Flatiron, Empire State and pretty much wherever you may want to go. You may be renting a room but it feels like you got the entire apartment, can barely feel Colin’s presence. But, if you need anything, he’ll be there to assist you. Thanks for the good time Colin!

    Narek2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is sparkling clean, quiet, nicely appointed and perfectly located close to the subway. I also loved how close it is to the Hudson river walkway. The hosts are very responsive, kind, and respectful of other guests’ privacy. I loved having a kitchen to prepare small meals, a closet in my room to hang clothes, and the bathroom was clean. Night time was relatively quiet, however, any noise worries were alleviated with ear plugs and a white noise machine. Staying in this neighborhood was a plus for me, it felt homey and familiar after just a day. There are also loads of great cafes within short walking distance. i can’t wait to return!

The bedroom is in my apartment, which is on the third floor of a three story building on 23rd Street and 7th Avenue in Chelsea. Close to everything in Manhattan.
Pictures say it all. I have one spacious living room and kitchen, and one bathroom that we share. Your bedroom is 14ft x 10ft and it has a full bed, one desk, and some cabinet space. I provide one towel for your stay and you are welcome to use my bathroom products if you want to. There is one window AC unit for the common areas and one portable AC unit for your bedroom. Please be mindful of using the bedroom's AC unit only when you are present. I also provide a fan for your bedroom. I keep the apt pretty organized and clean, and I expect you keep the common areas in good conditions. If you cook, you are also expected to clean up after yourself.
It's centrally located. Plenty of galleries, restaurants and bars. The high line and Madison Square park are a couple of blocks away and I'd be happy to give you recommendations if you need any.
  • Eduardo was a very welcoming host. He met me at the door, gave me a tour, and wonderful recommendations for running in the morning and eating at night. The room was clean, well equipped, and exactly as advertised, and in a great location.

    Jeff2014-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Eduardo was an excellent, welcoming host and his place was exactly what I needed. He was quick to reply and very helpful. Check-in was easy, everything was set out for my arrival, and the apartment was very clean. It was also quite large (by NYC standards) and well-appointed. It's also in a great neighborhood with easy access to everything in the city. I would absolutely recommend Eduardo's place to anyone staying in New York.

    Alexander2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Eduardo is a good host, he was attentive to every problem, he was caring and made me feel at home without any interferes .The apartment is located in a central area and the most comfortable in the world to move to any destination, the room is nice ,clean house! Thanks Eduardo, until next time ..

    Moshe2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a pleasant experience staying at Eduardo's place. He is very friendly and a nice guy. The place is clean and tidy. Location wise, its great, close to T and nearby attractions. I would ask Eduardo for availability for a future NYC trip.

    Amit2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Eduardo's place was excellent to stay at, perfect for my visit to the city. The location was great, central enough in the city that I could either walk or take the subway wherever I needed. The bed was fantastic. He left me with plenty of privacy during my stay and was very courteous during the brief times we met up for check-in and check-out. Highly recommended.

    Brent2014-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, clean accommodation in the heart of Chelsea. Literally steps from the Subway! The apartment is kept clean, bed was comfortable and clean and the air conditioning was nice and cold. Very kind and accommodating host. Would stay again, thank you :-)

  • Small, but serves its purpose. It’s a nice location, but it needs to work on its “hotel skills.”

    Jen2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This hotel room is perfect for a short getaway, especially in NY if you intend on spending most of your time outside of the room. It was a great value and was perfect for our trip. Nice comfortable bed, clean bathroom, location close to two subways. BUT not the most luxurious thing so it just depends on what you’re looking for. Overall I would recommend!!

    Elisha2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and close to many iconic places

    Katlyn2019-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • The breakfast is really simple - coffee, OJ, and store bought bagels and muffins. Having something a bit more higher end for $15/day would be nice. The rooms were very clean and quiet. They are very nice and helpful there. This is a great location for many Manhattan attractions. They subway is only 2 blocks away.

  • The apartment is perfect for a short stay in New York. Especially the proximity to Penn Station is a great plus.

    Henny2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • James' place was great! The location is great and walking distance to many cool places! Everything was very clean and the bed is comfortable. The shower room and restroom is out in the hallway, shared by other tenants on that floor, but they were also clean and we never had an issue. James is super kind - he even helped us carry our suitcases up the stairs and checked in on us multiple times. Thanks for everything, James! I recommend this place :)

    Ally2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is well located, you can easily make yourself at home as you have a tiny kitchen well equiped and everything that you need. Be aware that you will share the shower and toilet with the other tenants, and we didn't really found them clean. Also, the apartment can be noisy as the door is very thin and if you have noisy neighbor you can hear everything especially slamming doors, bring earplug! Check in and check out were made very easy and convenient for us.

    Irène2018-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Small, comfortable room in a very good location. Subway/Train station is just one block from the apartment, delis, supermarkets etc are around the corner. Nice and easy check-in and communication, quick reaction to questions. Bathroom/shower is shared with other guests so condition and cleanliness depends on them.

    Maximilian2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Shared toilet, bath. No A/C.

    James2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • James' place is so amazingly located that it made my trip really enjoyable since I could easily walk to amazing restaurants and amenities.

  • I had the most fantastic stay at James place. The apartment is located in the heart of Chelsea-so close to everything you could need. The room was perfect and comfortable and gave me the privacy I needed at night, ensuring I had the best nights sleep during my stay. James and his partner were so quick at communicating with me and made he check in process so easy, even letting me drop my big backpack off before check in time which I really appreciated! I would definitely recommend staying at James Airbnb- it made my time in NYC so special!

  • Great place for the price. Very clean and had total privacy while I was there. Would stay again

    Eugene2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Louie was very kind to meet me for an early check in. The apartment was conveniently located next to many neat galleries and delis. I loved the artistic touch of the place. A bit noisy at night with the radiator and traffic so don't forget earplugs.

    Aleigha2019-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Norman and Louie’s apartment is huge for NYC. The room is spacious and the bathroom is as well which was nice. I only stayed for one night but they made sure to keep in contact with me so I would know exactly where to go and how to go about things. There are subway stations a few blocks away and restaurants surrounding the apartment. The only thing I will advise is to bring ear plugs! It’s a busy area and the room overlooks the street so new york city noise is inevitable. Overall I had a great stay!

    Raquel2018-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location is good and the place is clean. Norman is very nice and even added a new desk and chair when he knew I need them. I had a very good stay here.

    Yue2018-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, spotless, stylish place - what more could you ask for in new York?

    Matt2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is good. Norman and his roommate are great. Very responsible. But for this time, road construction kind of bothered me a lot. Don't know what's wrong with this city, allowing construction during night? Feel I slept on the street.

    Lei2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Norman (and his roommate Xavier) were incredibly responsive, kind, and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better and good-value stay in the area. The room is comfortable and has great light and privacy. The bathroom was (almost astonishingly) spacious and clean. As for a spot in Chelsea, the price was very good for such a great location (literally in front of the highline).

    Joseph2019-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Norman & Louie’s place was perfect. The apt was incredibly clean, had a soft bed/ sheets, & a massive bathroom. I will definitely stay there again if the need arises!

In addition to being within walking distance of Time Square, the Empire State Building, Koreatown, Herald Square, Penn Station, and the Village, you are central enough to be to any major site in Manhattan quickly by train. The three biggest galleries, each with multiple locations, are Gagosian (21st and 24th), David Zwirner (19th and 20th), and Pace (24th and 25th). They’re worth visiting for museum-quality shows by notable artists (you might catch Richard Serra’s massive steel sculptures at Gagosian, a Yayoi Kusama installation at Zwirner, or paintings by Mark Rothko at Pace). You can also bank on seeing excellent art at Cheim & Read (25th), Marlborough (25th), Barbara Gladstone (24th, with a smaller space on 21st), Paula Cooper (21st), Jack Shainman (20th), and Hauser & Wirth (18th)—which is also home to the neighborhood’s best kept secret: In the back of the massive space is Roth Bar (technically a work of art and a permanent installation), which serves free espresso on Fridays and Saturdays. If you need a real snack: the couches in the dark, cozy Intelligentsia Café at The High Line Hotel are an ideal place to recharge with a brownie and a cortado. For a full sit-down meal, Chop Shop, Cookshop, El Quinto Pino, and Bottino are all great neighborhood options. And, in case you need a palate cleanser between all those poured concrete floors and white walls, Printed Matter on 26th and 11th is an eclectic bookstore that carries artist’s editions alongside an mix of books, zines, and other ephemera.
  • Overall we enjoyed the time here. There are only two things that are a little inconvenient. First is about the space, the room is too small and there are 3 different guests to share the bathroom. Second, the sound proofing is not well so we can easily hear the voice from others. I will recommend this room for people that stay here only to explore the city rather than spend time in the house. Also, the location is closed to everything and the host is friendly.

    Steven2018-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great - close to a lot of great restaurants, the high line and the subway. They are quite responsive and very kind!

I would stay here again and it has all your needs met. Comfy bed and room generally quiet, apart from NY sirens occasionally (no escaping that!). Clean and an amazing shower!

The area is quiet and safe at night but not too far away from the lively action of NYC, you can easily walk to Times Square in around half an hour. • Perfect and cozy mini apartment in the middle of Chelsea. Everything was awesome. We will be back for sure .

    Benedetta2018-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great find for NYC. The location is fabulous. The apartment was super quiet and had an elevator and washer/dryer in suite - all of which are hard to come by in the city. There was also AC which was much appreciated. There were some issues with the check in process which was a little frustrating after a long travel day, but overall I would highly recommend!

  • Although small, the place was in a prime location central to everything. Really cool design of the place and the sofa bed felt like a real bed! Antonia was super nice, flexible and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Not waht it looks like. Tiny hole in the wall on ground floor in broken down d=building. No lock on front gate or on front door [from insdie] that is secure]. No wifi, no TV, Noisy, people outside windows early morning going thru garbage.,

    Michele2016-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Antonia was so generous and knows New York so well, she gave us tons of adresses on where to get food and which subway lines to take, etc. I thouroughly recommend this place ! It's not even a 5 minutes walk away from the subway, you can easily walk to the High Line Park or to the empire state building. Antonia is also very nice and welcoming, and she was very accomodating. Would definitely come back to Antonia's place in case of a second trip to New York !

    Emma2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Antonia was very accommodating on all levels. Space was very good value for 2 people. Walking distance to literally everything. Would absolutely repeat.

The fridge is small so it's not idea for guest who want to stock up on groceries. I have a fined wine in the fridge. I will use the kitchen when you are not there to make food for my dogs and may make myself some food but will clean up after. I usually feed my dogs in the afternoon or evening. If you are there around any of those time. I will ask first before coming into the kitchen to get water and food for the dogs. AIR CONDITIONER: One in the kitchen is for your space. One in the bathroom is for my space. Please turn off AC when you leave the apartment. FRONT DOOR entree: There a a small security camera facing the front door when you walk in. That's the only camera in the apartment. There are no other cameras in your room, bathroom and kitchen so you still have your privacy. FRONT DOOR HALLWAY: I have a book shelve and a jogger in this area. So my apologies if the space is a little tight here. Though, this isn’t the space you will be renting. This space is a comment area to exit the front door. **********Please read everything before booking!**********

  • This is a very stylish place and very clean. The host is very friendly and nice. However, we have to be very careful on the decoration in the room, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable. One of the curtains on the wall behind of bed dropped of and the beam to hang the curtain even hit my head while I was in bed.

Heavy discounts for long-term stays! Steps from the High Line and a block from major transportation, this immaculate, sunny room is perfectly situated in one of the most desirable downtown Manhattan neighborhoods! This is a private room in a four bedroom apartment. The apartment was decorated by a designer at an international fashion brand. The decor, over-sized windows and 11 foot ceilings represents the style, modernity, and warm feeling that the Chelsea has to offer.

Chelsea is known as the Gallery District, and you will be steps from internationally renowned spaces that you can easily explore.
  • The bed was comfy, and the neighborhood and apartment were very quiet. So I could sleep well. the room was small but that's good enough for me. if you want a place just to sleep in NYC, it will be worthy. and the hosts will give you many informations about the apartment and the city. it helped a lot.

    Tracy2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Brett has been the best host I've stayed with in my years of doing Airbnb. Great guy, great communication and set up. The apartment is in a great location and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

    Alex2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • good location. cramped room and tight shared space. I wouldn't recommend sharing a room with more than one person, bc the common space is small and awkward, so you only have the room to yourself. the location is perfect tho. and communication could have been much better. I only got quick responses when they needed something from me, not the other way around.

  • Gina’s spot could not be more perfect and quaint. Would most definitely stay here again. She delievered quick communication and wonderful nearby recommendations. The location of the space is perfect for walking around the city, easy access to subways, and so close to tons of great eateries! The apartment itself was so clean and cute too. Would definitely recommend staying here!!!

    Angela2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Gina’s place was wonderful, cute and cozy and in a great location. Exactly as described and very quick and easy check in. Great communication at any time and always willing to help. The onily weird thing was that the listing had a 1pm check out (and in my trips section still says 1, I made sure to triple check) but was told it was 12 the night before so that threw me off a little but otherwise everything was great.

    Nada2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is located on a pretty tree-lined street, walking distance from multiple lines on the subway on the west side. The layout is really nice and homely and despite being street level it’s really quiet at night. Gina was so fast with responses, I would stay there next time I’m in NYC for sure

    Alastair2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • This little space was a perfect jumping-off point for the meetings and errands I had in the city. Coming back to Chelsea at night really felt like coming home - lots of amenities, friendly street life, comfortable bed . . . Picking up and dropping off keys was convenient and well-explained. Communication was lighting fast, including responses to specific questions about NYC advice. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you, G!

  • Candice is a very generous and helpful host. She was extremely kind and helped me find some local hot spots. The room is beautiful! Very large, with a dresser and closet with hangers. Also the bathroom is large with a shower and jacuzzi tub. I didn’t get a chance to try the jacuzzi tub, but the shower was very refreshing after a hot day. This would be a great room for couples or friends/siblings that don’t mind having a pretty open restroom (only a curtain separates the two rooms). The location is very close to food, the subway, and Times Square. I was able to walk to a broadway show and Greenwich village, both were about 20 minute walks. It was an extremely nice accommodation, and I will definitely stay here again!

  • Apesar de viajar com frequência não costumo deixar avaliações, mas acho que desta vez seria ser invejoso não partilhar com outros viajantes, principalmente de língua portuguesa, a qualidade do quarto em que ficamos na casa de Candice. A zona é maravilhosa e segura, a partir deste bairro é possível ir a todas as partes a pé. Obrigado Candice.

  • I was a little concerned about the reservation, because it was my first trip alone. David answered me a little bit late, but once that we did get the contact, he was helpfully. I asked if would be possible some flexibility in check in / out and he did what could at the moment, considering other guests to leave before me and guests that will arrived after me. The check in was funny and curious. He left the keys in a special way, but everything it was nice. The apartment is at 4th level, the stairs are a little difficult, but it is normal to New York. I don`t think that the pictures are like the real, because the paint of wall of room are frayed, the building is very old, but everything was ok. Bed Sheets and paper toilet, iron, tv, wifi, perfect. The only thing that I suggest is that I think the cleanner could be better, because there was insects (cockroach), but nothing that disturb the period. The location is excellent, many restaurants and bars near to apartment. At general, I recommend this place.

    Caroline2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great, the apartment was clean, bed was comfortable and it is located on a great area of town easy to bar, restaurants, subways and the High Line.

    Wander2015-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • David's apartment is in a great location, easily accessible via subway to head to other spots in Manhattan. We pretty much walked everywhere so it's a great part of town to be based! The building itself is quiet and the room is perfect for this type of trip - we just slept there and didn't need more space! Clean, towels and linens provided, made this an easy stay away from home. All local cafes, restaurants and shops within 2min walk. Perfect place for our NYC trip!

    Sarah2016-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent communications. Easy to check-in and out (we actually liked how original the procedure is). The house itself was on a quiet and safe neighborhood, with lots of nice choices in terms of eating and even having a drink at night. The location relative to the major attractions is good. Subway nearby, Penn Station also nearby. Highline nearby. It's a good apartment for NYC standards and it has everything you need for a comfortable short stay!

    David2016-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our favorite thing about David’s place was the location. Everything was walkable. The place is only a ten minute walk from Penn Station. the neighborhood was great and there were plenty of places to eat close by.

    Marco2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • David's place is great! Location is amazing and he was very quick to communicate. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Had an awesome time!!

  • Great location and clean place to stay!

    Ashley2018-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for Manhattan. Right in the middle of everything and close to a few subway lines. It was good for two younger kids and one adult. We had a great time being able to stay so close to everything.

Hi! Live like a local! I LOVE NYC & I'm happy to serve as ur concierge & help u personalize ur trip w/ tons of ideas! My studio is a sunny, warm, cozy home away from home! It's located in the heart of NYC! Sure it's a share, but you'll be my roommate(s)! I'm helpful in making sure u get the most out of NYC. Because it's a share, I'm open to friends traveling together, not couples. It's perfect for the solo female explorer, too! I've traveled alone & know what it's like. よろしく!
Hi! Centrally located apartment that is in the heart of everything! It's near The Highline, The Shed, Chelsea Market, Flatiron Building, Chelsea Galleries, The Whitney, Jacob Javits Center, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Macy's, Billy's Bakery, West Side Highway and more! I have typically only hosted one guest at a time, but realize that sometimes traveling alone can be daunting for many, so I am open to having friends stay too. Please realize that I provide two air mattresses. I prefer friends rather than couples, there can't be any hooking up since we share the space. よろしく! I'm currently working from home during the day. The apartment faces the street and it's usually quiet, but occasionally, as the weather gets warmer, there may be more noise and activity outside. I do provide earplugs. You'll have run of the apartment. It's a home and not a hotel or hostel. Please only light microwaving. There are many inexpensive / affordable places to eat nearby. I'm available to help you during your stay. I love this city and love for others to enjoy it fully. I'm happy to guide you and help you make the best of your trip while in NYC when I have time. My apartment is centrally located to everything! You can see the Empire State Building from my window. I live in Chelsea which is a neighborhood that doesn't have the typical hustle and bustle of the city despite being so central. My apartment is close to EVERYTHING! Central Park and Ground Zero are about 30 minutes away on foot or 10 minutes by subway. Both are nice scenic walks. The subway is on my corner. • Very much as advertised, if you're looking for a cheap room-share with a wonderful host, this is the place for you!

    Alden2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and her beautiful quaint studio apartment are an absolutely PERFECT stay in Manhattan. Located in the heart of Chelsea and convenient to any Manhattan activities or sites, this was an amazing experience all around Sue is the most wonderful hostess - she's goes infinitely above and beyond to ensure you not only feel at home but assists with any plans and makes wonderful suggestions. She obviously loves her city and the opportunity to share it with others. What an experience to get to the city and have a local tell you their recommendations and best ways /times to get anywhere The apartment was cozy as all NYC homes are yet Sue makes you feel as if it's all set up for you. She is incredibly accommodating and has thought of everything. With a window and the A/C by the guest sleeping area and Sues flexible schedule she strives to make it a stay as if every guest is a personal guest of hers The apartment is safe and secure, great location, and the most wonderful host. I couldn't reccomend this any higher !

  • I’m a big person, a guy in my late 20s, 240lbs. 6’5”. I guess when I thought of a studio and an air mattress I’d would be enough for me, but it was pretty cramped. Sue is wonderful. I didn’t get too much of a chance to chat with her but she seems genuine and interesting. She is a quiet sleeper, and that’s important since you’re sharing a single room with her. She works at times that I was there, so we kinda just kept missing each other. I’d recommend this place if you’re new to the city and the price is right. I think I booked on an upswing, so I think I paid more than i would have if I had a better idea of what you get. That being said, I was never uncomfortable, and sue had everything I need. Just be aware, you’re sleeping very close to someone else that you just met on an air mattress. :) Have fun in NY! Ask Sue about her nonprofit! It’s awesome what she’s doing.

trendy, comfy queen room with lots of sunshine, modern deco and soft carpet. It's right on 9th ave and 36th street where all the fun in the new hudson yard begins. Just a few blocks from Jacob Javits Center, A, C and E trains, and LIRR on Pen Station. 5 minute walk to Madison Square Garden and High Line. The neighborhood is also one of the best New York City has to offer. Breakfast is provided with all other amenities. Please check the house rule page for taxes and other fees.
  • The location is great , be sure to read house rules that mention resort fee and city taxes that won't show up when you pay Airbnb . I usually would expect airbnb stays to be cheaper than hotels or atleast more hospitable. Asking guests to pay 20 bucks more to checking 30 mins before wasn't very accommodating. Overall I would pick a hotel next time even if it's few bucks more.

  • Clean and simple hotel experience. Small but modern rooms, nice place to sleep on a busy trip.

    Dan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • From a New Yorker, July 17. 2019 Gabriel's place is a room in a hotel on the West side approx. 36th St and 10 Ave. What you see in the photo is what you get. Hotel is small, with free NY bagels and muffins for breakfast. The room is clean and the bed comfortable, AC works great and location is perfect if you want to be on the West Side. There are some homeless people at night in the vicinity but that is normal for NY. Bathroom wall paper has some spots that need repair. Overall I would recommend staying here it is worth the price.

The hotel room itself is small but super stylish, sparkling clean and provides everything that you need. They even provide breakfast in the morning for 4 hours between 6:30-10:30am! We would definitely stay here again.

Unique space in brownstone/townhouse on best, tree-lined Chelsea street. It's the absolute heart of Chelsea's historic district. If location is important, then this is where you want to be. Large, quiet room (20’ X 15’) in 2nd floor apartment. Original details, antique furnishings, artwork, wood plank floors, marble fireplace, linens/towels/soap provided. The room also has a sofa and a large antique table with three chairs for both dining and as a work area, Very sunny. Shared bath and kitchen.
The room is very large (20'x15'), high ceilings, and decorated with original art and antiques. There is a marble fireplace and room has many of its original architectural details. The feel of the room matches both the street and the brownstone building which is old, classic New York City. The room has a full-size bed (linens, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner provided), an antique dining/work table with three chairs, a sofa, antique dresser, two closets, and oriental rug. It has three large windows (window boxes with flowers) which look out on quiet, West 22nd Street, making the room very sunny, friendly, and charming.
The block we live on is considered the best block in Chelsea. The neighborhood is collectively the most charming, hip, artistic, fashionable, beautiful, eclectic neighborhood in New York. It's a major destination for anyone visiting and is easily accessible to all the other great downtown sites. We are just blocks from The Highline Park, The Chelsea Art District, The Meatpacking District, The Chelsea Market, Chelsea Piers, The Whitney Museum, The Hudson River, Greenwich Village, Hudson Yards and The Flatiron District. For business travelers, just blocks away are the headquarters/offices of all the ad/tech/media/film/TV/fashion/art/music/photography businesses within Chelsea, Flatiron, Meatpacking, Hudson Yards, the West Village and the Penn Station neighborhoods.
  • Great place to stay!

  • Wife and I stayed at George and Lynnda’s apartment for 5 nights in early April 2019. The location is very convenient to get to from JFK by public transportation which we used after getting very detailed instructions from our hosts. Well worth considering particularly if travelling light. George and Lynnda’s unobtrusive hospitality was a highlight. After accommodating an early check in request without any fuss, they were on hand to personally greet us and show us the ropes of the apartment. They prepared a checklist of neighbourhood attractions which we found to be accurate and excellent. There is one flight of stairs to navigate. The room is well equipped with a comfortable bed, sofa and table. While not fully walled off, the room’s privacy was adequate for us, although more amorous and/or vocal couples may be overheard. Bathroom is not on-suite, but well equipped with good shower pressure. We did not use the kitchen to cook but there is filtered coffee, tea, cereal, and all manner of milks and juices on offer in fridge. Apartment location and neighbourhood were a great bonus. 5 min stroll from E subway line, close to Chelsea markets, and a walkable springboard for trips to SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, Lower East Side and Brooklyn. Overall, great value for us, and would not hesitate to use again if opportunity arises.

    Jt2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • George and Lynnda are wonderful hosts, very thoughtful, considerate and kind, and we had a wonderful stay with them in the very perfect location right in the middle of beautiful Chelsea.

  • Excellent place, great location and the hospitality is impeccable

    Emma2019-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • George and Lynnda were the best Airbnb hosts I've ever stayed with. As a seasoned Airbnb traveler, I've experienced some great places and some not-so-great. My experience here - the location, the hosts, the room, the hospitality, the special touches, the cleanliness, etc... all of it was top notch! Check-in was easy as I just texted Lynnda when I arrived and George came and met me at the door and helped me with my luggage. Their apartment is on the 2nd floor. When you enter, the very spacious room is to the left and the kitchen and bathroom are to the right. They had a fridge full of food and I was encouraged to help myself to anything. They will give you as much privacy/space as you want - but I took some time to chat with them and really enjoyed getting to know them a little bit! I felt like I was visiting friends and not staying in an Airbnb. I've been to NYC multiple times, so I didn't go out and explore after work - but they have numerous suggestions from places to eat right around the corner - to attractions worth visiting. They love NYC and you can absolutely tell they want you to love it too! As for the location, they're right in Chelsea and just a short walk to the subway - which is always excellent if you'll be touring around during the day. I feel like I found a rare gem of a place and hope to visit again!

    Susan2019-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • George and Lynnda were delightful welcoming hosts that were like meeting old friends again. The room was very nice with a very comfortable bed and a very large table. The view was lovely as the autumn leaves were falling. I can't wait to go back to New York City to stay with them again!

    Regina2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • George and Lynnda were great hostes. We had some interesting conversations from which we learned a lot. We felt perfectly comfortable there and they made us feel less like tourists in New York and more as guests. The apartment is not only beautiful, but also spacious, and has everything one needs in it. We especially liked the antique furnitures there. It is located in an excellent location. There is a Subway near by, and many places within walking distance. We already miss our time there and would love to come back again.

    דפנה2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had the most amazing stay in Chelsea with George and Lynnda! They were exceptionally helpful and communicative as I prepared for my trip; offering directions and suggestions, etc. They were also very welcoming when I arrived! The room is so lovely and cozy and peaceful. I felt like I had my own private wing of their home to make my own while I was visiting. There is a great table in the room if you have some work to do that is not pictured. This was a wonderful help to me. And--Chelsea is fantastic! They suggested I take a walk on the High Line in Chelsea, and that was just lovely. Watching the sun set from up there was a real treat. There are so many great shops and places to dine just around the corner from the beautiful street they live on. It was fun to just go out and walk around in the neighborhood and explore. In short, I had a perfect visit. I wish I had more time to get to know George and Lynnda because they were very warm and easygoing and interesting people! I hope to be back to visit again someday.

The area is quite and safe and, if you like walking, you can walk from the apartment to Midtown, Greenwich Village, Soho, and even Downtown. The house is perfectly situated in a very safe and charming neighborhood, close to Chelsea Market, High Line, Whitney Museum and some of the best galleries. The apartment is very silent, facing a typical courtyard, reminding us at Hitchcocks "Rear Window". The apartment offers Apple TV, cable tv and a fast WIFI. Private 350 Sq foot room with working fireplace and private bathroom in a privately owned single family townhouse in Chelsea. Despite recent NY restrictions we are a 100% legal listing! You'll be living with an on-site family of artists, so everything is a little rough around the edges, but if you are looking for a real cultural experience in a beautiful home this will be a good fit. We have a cat, so those with allergies should stay away :-)
Large furnished private bedroom available in NYC! Located in a beautiful brownstone in Chelsea on one of the most sought after tree lined blocks in Manhattan. You will be sharing a kitchen and dining room with me and my family. There is a beautiful tiled bathroom with shower dedicated to your use. DISCLAIMER: If you are looking for a traditional B&B or a cheaper version of a hotel room, this may not be right for you. It is an old building with old fixtures and furniture, some of it a bit dog-eared. We are an Arts institute which hosts visiting artists in our family home, and sublets the extra bedrooms when visiting artists are not in residence. The townhouse also has a studio for classes screenings and readings, and a film production office. This historic artistic residence has hosted such luminaries as Tennessee Williams, Miles Davis and Allen Ginsberg. Steps away from all galleries, the Chelsea Piers and spectacular boutique restaurants. Blocks away from the Soho House, Chelsea Market and the chic Meat Packing District. Steps to the High Line! 1 1/2 blocks from the C/E Subway line. Hardwood floors, working marble fireplace. Shared kitchen with stove and fridge. Private bathroom with shower. High speed Internet, Fresh cotton towels, Weekly maid service and Utilities all included. Presence is an arts institute featuring classes in acting for stage and film and presents readings by established and emerging playwrights and poets. Support the arts while spending a wonderful New Years Vacation in NYC!
  • The premises are just as presented, The room confortable and the bathroom OK. We had two calms nights. Toniy's wife was very kind and Tony gave us very helpfull hints about how parking our car for free.

  • Toni is kind and location is so good, but the room needs fumigation.

    Doug2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a great time staying at Tony's place in NYC and would happily recommend this house to others. The experience actually surpassed our expectations. We loved the house itself, which is a beautiful, character-filled and historic brownstone just a stone's throw from the High Line in Chelsea. The Metro, Chelsea Markets, Whitney Museum, the Meatpacking District and lots of nice restaurants are nearby and easily accessible (short walking distance). The room was great (just as described in the ad), quiet, of a larger-than-average size and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also nice and clean, and had a great big shower head which felt quite luxurious after a day's site-seeing! We particularly liked meeting Tony and family (including Emmy the cat!). They were very nice and attentive hosts, who also provided great information and recommendations for things to do and places to visit, including great bakeries and coffee shops in the area. All administrative aspects associated with our booking were quick and hassle-free too. Bottom line - we'd stay here again on future visits to NYC!

  • It was a pleasure visiting Tony! He is welcoming and generous. We were invited to his amazing rock-musical-show, and it is something we will never forget! So cool. His family is also friendly and nice to talk to. We had out own bathroom on our own floor which was really nice. The neighbourhood is clean and quiet. Book it!

  • This location is in central Manhattan, it is a good base point to visit the City. Franly speaking comments and pictures are not in line with reality: the room is inadequate, worn furniture, low bulb light, uncomfortable beds and materials stacked around, lack of cleanliness and impression of a general neglect. The host were kind and gentle, I am sorry for this comment but I decided to write it to advise new comers who may expect a different room.

    Maurizio2015-06-07T00:00:00Z

600 sq ft private floor in a brownstone house, duplex apartment, much like a large studio. Separate entrance, kitchen, dining area, small bathroom and garden. Located in West Chelsea on a residential, tree lined street just a few blocks from the Highline, Chelsea Market, art galleries and Hudson River. Very cozy spot with old New York charm, perfect for couples!
Ground floor studio apartment in a brownstone house, with a separate entrance and private garden. Large open space with kitchen, bathroom and queen sized bed, can add a twin size air mattress in the space if needed. This is our apartment that we list when out of town so you will be sharing a space with all of our belongings. Everything is neat and tidy but we have racks of clothing, toiletries out and food in the fridge. It is also worth mentioning that we are in a brownstone that is over 100 years old that has never been fully renovated so expect things to be clean but well worn and “dog eared”. This brownstone has been home to actors, writers and artists for 60 years so expect an old New York, bohemian feel. If you are looking for a hotel room our place is not for you.
Beautiful residential street with park. Very close to Chelsea market, high line, Hudson River, galleries, the Whitney museum and amazing restaurants. We are closest to the C E trains at 23rd st. For food we recommend Le Grainne cafe, The Meatball Shop, Foragers, Pepe Giallo and Joe (for coffee).

The house was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a need of light in some parts of the apartment and the appliances were slightly worn. I recommend it if you want to make the most of your time visiting New York (which was my case) and save time in public transportation (since everything is 20 min away at the most by metro)

  • A lot bigger than it looks in the picture. Lol. Very spacious.

    Christopher2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lance's place is great, cosy and very private! You have the entire bottom level apartment with its own locked door to the outside street. Great price for the area. Awesome option for a couple on a budget. Lance was very responsive and friendly.

  • Clean, comfortable, cozy, good communication and a great location. The outdoor space is definitely a plus in season. Thanks, Lance!

    Kati2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • A newly redone and nicely decorated apartment in a central location. We were very comfortable.

  • Great find in Chelsea. Best airbnb I've stayed at in NYC.

    Michelle2019-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ari’s place was absolutely perfect for a local stay in the city! The space was clean hip and had everything you needed! Super close to the subway and path for traveling through the city. Would highly recommend as well as stay again myself!

  • Cute, clean, basic place in a great location, check in and out very easy with the nearby key drop. As of writing the building is under construction (not the apartment itself but the hallway and nearby apartments), so if you mind that check in with the host about the current situation.

    Meredith2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome space, perfect for two! Close to the subway and plenty of restaurants! Right next to our favorite place Peloton!!!!!!

    Melody2018-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • And is a wonderful hostess who responds immediately when you call on the phone. The location was excellent in walking distance to the theater district, the Highline, the Hudson yards,; actually, the studio is Close to everything. There is also a wonderful market two doors down. My husband and I look forward to staying there again

trendy, comfy queen room with lots of sunshine, modern deco and soft carpet.
  • Good location the furniture is.getting too old nice people at the reception desk. Late at night too noisy and too much marijuana smoking ...beside that pleasant

    Jacques2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • You have to mind that there is extra $15 per night for each guest, so for example, when 2 ppl stays for 5 nights, they have to pay$15 X 5 X 2 = 150. Besides they dont change the bed sheets unless you ask paying extra $30. The room smell was not good.

    Seungchan2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay. Close to Midtown at a surprisingly cheap price. Gabriel was quick to respond and help us with anything I needed. Would definitely come again.

    Calvin2019-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • A good spot if you’re staying in nyc. It’s a simple room, but it gets the job done.

    Christopher2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you are booking through Airbnb you may not get what you are looking for in the pictures. This is also a hotel, so you will also need to pay the hotel taxes when you arrive, which is $25-$45 extra on the bill you may not be aware of for one or two nights. The hotel has red paint on the doors to the rooms and the rooms still have a lot of the dark features, black headboards, Black bed skirting, black older wardrobes, and black - not to clean carpeting. Very nice staff! And they do not have any form of breakfast at this time… But they do have plain green tea and coffee :-)

    Karen2019-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a very small, basic room that's close to everything, this is it. No frills! We felt safe during our stay and the check in process was smooth. We did have to request a change of linen upon our arrival because the ones on the bed were soiled. The front desk had it changed by the time we returned a few hours later.

    Anthony2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful value, comfortable bed and very quiet!

    Elizabeth2019-07-15T00:00:00Z

  • A great place to stay in New York. Close to the subway and some great restaurants in the area. The studio was clean and comfortable. Michael was a very nice and easy to contact host. He had great recommendations. Would stay again!

Small but mighty, The West Chelsea MINI makes up for what it lacks in size with style, convenience and LOCATION. With its high ceiling and tree-lined view, this 4th floor, sunny studio in an elevator building is perfect for the business traveler (walk the highline to Javits Center in 15 minutes), the globetrotting tourist (walk the highline to the Whitney in 10 minutes) or the former New Yorker (like me!) just in for a visit (just walk the highline!!).
The Mini is a bright, sunny studio apartment simply and stylishly appointed with a queen-size bed and excellent pillows. There's plenty of room in the closet for you to unpack and basic supplies in the kitchen for you to whip up a simple meal. a few more details.... there is a bathtub and shower and the water is strong and hot, but please be patient, sometimes you need to let the water run a few minutes to get hot water. also there is WiFi but there is NOT a TV
West Chelsea is HOT! The Highline is a spectacular addition to the city. The neighborhood has wonderful art, shopping and food and i list my personal favorites on "my guide".
  • Great location, very accommodating!

    Danielle2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location! Karen was wonderful and quick to reply! Highly recommend if you want to stay close to the High Line and around trendy bars and restaurants.

    Eliza2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, location and host.

    Stephen2018-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location, very clean, nice area! Very recommended

    Melanie2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • A stay in Karen's apartment is a great choice, perfectly situated, not so mini! You have to choose this apartment if you like vintage, the bed is perfect. Seeing the trees from the window is a plus and despite the old window, you can sleep quietly at night because 10th avenue is not so busy.

    Martine2019-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spot to stay in Chelsea. Karen's place is close to everything- it's on a quiet residential street, just steps aways from the High Line. The place was immaculate and I felt very much at home. Karen is probably the most professional Host I have had on Airbnb. She should be an example for others to follow. Definitely will come back. Note. Its not as small as I was expecting.

    Charlie2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great 4-night stay for work! The apartment is the perfect size for a solo traveler or a couple not looking to spend much time at home, and the location is great. A bit of a walk to the subway but everything else is right around the corner! The place is spectacularly maintained and incredibly clean; and communication with Karen was a breeze. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a spot in Chelsea!

    Jenna2018-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in a cool neighborhood. Although the space is small it has everything you need. Bit of a walk to the metro but worth it to be in West Chelsea. Definitely recommended.
