My guest bedroom has a king-sized bed with a new mattress and a private bathroom. It is located at the front of the apartment before you enter the living room, so the space is very private. The living area has hardwood floors, huge 10x7 foot windows which span the entire wall, and a well-equipped kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. My place is conveniently located within walking distance of Duke University, downtown Durham, and historic Brightleaf Square. There is also free bus service to Duke University Hospital, Duke's East and West Campus, and the Golden Belt Art District. Raleigh-Durham International Airport is only 20 minutes by taxi (45 minutes by bus). The Amtrak Station and Durham Regional Transit Center are just a few blocks away. A grocery store and pharmacy are within walking distance. My Durham home, is close to Duke University, and downtown Durham; it is a short drive to Chapel Hill and RTP. There are some fun neighborhood areas where one can enjoy nice restaurant, coffee shops and or a bar. Whether visiting the area for work or play, you will enjoy proximity to the best of Durham; our home offers quiet, comfort, and privacy at the end of your day. I am barely home, I work late but guest have a code to the house
Guests have access to the guest room, guest bathroom, living room area, and kitchen area. There is NO access to the other areas in the house; violation of this rule will be reported to Airbnb. My home is ready to be your home while you travel! You can park right out front as the driveway is circular. The guest room is just upstairs on the left and has a private bathroom. The room has a closet and toiletries are available. Our home is laid back and casual and the guest room is outfitted with super comfy mattresses, and an updated bath with a great shower head and plush towels.
My neighborhood is not far from Duke University and downtown Durham, NC where there is lots of coffee shops and nice things to do

This cozy, comfortable downtown poolside condo, Pearl Mill Flats Unit 156 (was Duke Tower) is located near everything in Downtown Durham. It is easily walkable to major attractions, parks, restaurants, and entertainment venues. There are lovely outdoor spaces, comfy beds, and a charming, unique building. The first-floor condo is next to pool, lovely gardens, cookout areas, shuffleboard, and human-sized chessboard. Very close to Duke East Campus and Duke Hospital. Business travelers welcome.
The condo is very clean, well-decorated and well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Keurig coffee and still and carbonated water are provided. Pearl Mill Flats is within easy walking distance of downtown Durham restaurants and entertainment venues (15 minute walk). My favorite restaurant, Blue Note Grill (great food and live music) is less than two blocks away. Durham Performing Arts Center and the Durham Bulls Baseball Park are about a 2-minute drive or 25-minute walk from Duke Tower.
Duke Tower (now called Pearl Mill Flats) was constructed from antique brick which were salvaged from a 1950's cotton mill (Pearl Mill) which stood on the same spot. It is a very unique and historic property which still has the old mill tower and smoke stack preserved on the property,

The Vintage Penthouse is a sunny, cheerful, artfully decorated spot in a fantastic location. Head downstairs to one of Durham's wonderful coffee shops, walk to the farmer's market! Close to many amazing bars and restaurants, a few blocks from DPAC and a mile from Duke. See the Durham Bulls’ fireworks from the deck.
The Vintage Penthouse is a bright, comfortable studio apartment with the living room and bedroom separated by a large curtain. It is artfully decorated with vintage rugs and furniture throughout, and very tall ceilings. In addition to the comfy king bed, there is a queen sized pullout couch in the living room, and an air mattress available if needed. A door from the living room leads straight to a large rooftop deck with a view of downtown, DPAC, American Tobacco, and gorgeous sunsets! There are lots of books, board games, and a couple yoga mats. There are several seating areas on the deck: a couch and umbrella, a dining table with umbrella, and a sunny sitting spot (updated photos to come!). Please keep in mind that The Vintage Penthouse is located in the center of downtown, and you may hear some noise at night from the many nearby bars and restaurants. The apartment was built in the 1930s so please be prepared for old building quirks. This apartment is located in a small building with a lot of vintage charm, close to everything you would like to walk to (downtown Durham, Duke's East Campus, 9th street) with lots of events happening every weekend (music festivals, farmers' markets, art shows). The apartment has shared spaces (a living room and kitchen) that you are welcome to use, as well as private spaces just for you. Your bedroom contains a comfy queen bed with a new mattress, a desk to do work on, a standing fan if you like a breeze (and hey, it's the South - even when the AC is on, we all like a breeze!), and a private ensuite bathroom with a shower-tub combo.

A few blocks in the other direction is the Durham Farmers' Market, Motorco, Fullsteam, the Blue Note Grill, Cocoa Cinnamon, etc. It overlooks a large garden patio, with a pool and laundry on site. This apartment is on the quiet back side of the courtyard, and is well lit, with beautiful large windows.
This apartment comes fully furnished with living room and bedroom furniture, and kitchen essentials. Large windows let in plenty of light when you want it, and thick curtains block it out when you don't. A nest thermostat gives you complete control of the central AC/heating. Kitchen has stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. There is a desk in the large bedroom (not pictured, just added) for you to work or study. These apartments were built on the site of the old Pearl Mill textile factory using reclaimed brick. The factory tower still stands in the center of the complex. Live in a part of Durham's history!
Trinity park is a tree-lined neighbourhood between Duke's East Campus, and Durham's downtown. It's easy walking distance to great BBQ (like the Pit), a brewery (Fullsteam - great beer!), a farmers market and plenty of other dining, bars and entertainment. There's a quiet park nearby (where I ran cross country in highschool). This is one of my favourite parts of Durham.
