Nestled back in a courtyard, this private first floor apartment is a quiet retreat right in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. Staying here, you’ll be close to all the action of Washington Park, Music Hall, Findlay Market, and all of OTR’s restaurants, shops, and breweries. Or if you’re going downtown, you’re a close walk or a short ride on the Connector to the city center, the Banks, and all of the stadiums.
Over-the-Rhine is a rapidly developing neighborhood that is home to some of Cincinnati’s coolest spots – both new and historic. It is also an urban neighborhood and home to a very diverse population. Both of us feel safe living and walking about in OTR, but bear in mind that since it is an economically diverse, urban neighborhood so you may be asked for money from time to time. That said, we love all of our neighbors, whether they’re young professionals in brand new condos or families that have lived in affordable housing units for a long while and are sure you will too!

Historically Over-the-Rhine is a working-class neighborhood. It is also believed to be the largest, most intact urban historic district in the United States. The neighborhood's distinctive name comes from its builders and early residents, German immigrants of the mid-19th century. Many walked to work across bridges over the Miami and Erie Canal, which separated the area from downtown Cincinnati. The canal was nicknamed "the Rhine" in reference to the Rhine River in Germany, and the newly settled area north of the canal as "Over the Rhine."In German, the district was called "über dem Rhein." Over-the-Rhine has been praised for its collection of historic architecture. The New York Times described the neighborhood as having "a scale and grace reminiscent of Greenwich Village in New York." Its architectural significance has also been compared to the French Quarter in New Orleans and the historic districts of Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina. When Arthur Frommer, founder of the Frommer's travel guides, visited Over-the-Rhine he described it as the most promising urban area for revitalization in the United States, and claimed that its potential for tourism "literally could rival similar prosperous and heavily visited areas."

The new sister unit to the #2 AirBnB out of 331 in the area, we opened up this condo because there was so much demand for our 1st AirBnB. Part of a 2-story property built in 1880, it's perfect for a great weekend or being your home away from home, including a great bistro-style patio to enjoy OTR. Located just a half block from Music Hall, Washington Park and the Streetcar stop, our place is ideally located for making the most out of your time in OTR but is also in a calm residential pocket.
We've had so much fun with our first AirBnB in the building that we decided to take its sibling unit, which is basicly the same layout and to open up a second AirBnB. We're pretty thrilled at how much people have loved our location, and the experience we try to help them have; I hope you'll find that our reviews as Hosts speak for themselves. We provide drinks and snacks and backups for the things you left at home, as well as a really great custom guide to the neighborhood that works on your phone and of course, I am always available for advice on where to go and what to do while you're here. You'll find the kitchen is perfect as a launching point for your night and for making everyone coffee and eggs in the morning while you relax at the breakfast bar. The bistro-style patio is will be available in February of 2019 so that it's ready to go as the weather gets better and better. This will be a great spot to start your day or have a glass of wine at the end of your night. We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and building in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day. As a result, you'll find features like historically-accurate bedroom sizes (small, but very functional with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Full-Over-Full Bunk with comfy mattresses and pillows), exposed brick walls, lovely hardwood floors, granite and marble countertops, a nicely equipped kitchen, 2-basin bathroom vanity, laundry room, plenty of natural light, full-length mirrors to for getting ready to go out, wireless Bluetooth speakers that work outdoors and one of the better locations in all of Downtown/OTR. Parking is free in the private lot. The spaces aren't reserved for each condo but there are plenty of spots. If you come in the winter and want to keep ice off your windshield, the entrance to the Washington Park garage is just a block away after you unload your bags from the open area on the street right next to our front door. Also, there are a couple entry steps, so please keep that in mind if you have mobility needs. PETS: We're nuts for pets, but had an incident with a guest's pet at our old place and it cost us a fortune. So, sadly, we have decided to not allow pets any longer even though most owners and their pets are awesome; I hope you understand. STUFF TO DO: Where to start? The list is endless around here so we'll send you an interactive map that shows you great places with lots of notes and recommendations when you book our place. It's also a nice thing to have as you go around downtown and want to find a good glass of wine before a great dinner followed by needing to meet friends at one of our urban breweries. Here are some of the highlights in a list we'll update as new things open: - Music Hall (Symphony, Orchestra, Ballet, Concerts, Balls, etc) - Washington Park is a great place to hang out, go to all the events, have drinks at the outdoor bar, etc - The list of restaurants and bars within walking distance is huge, I'll help you navigate the madness depending on what you're looking for - Breweries/Distilleries/Wine Producers: Rhinegiest, Taft's, Christian Moerlein, Three Points, Sam Adams, Northern Row, Skeleton Root, Northside, and Revel are all walkable and most are 1-4 blocks away. - Fitness: Again, we'll help you find what you want most. Whether you're searching for sports, swimming, lifting, zumba, steamy downward dogs, WOD's or burpees until you die, we've got you covered - Theaters with all kinds of programming are nearby - Findlay Market is one of the City's very best treasures, especially on the weekend during the non-freezing months, and best of all it's only 3 blocks away! For those of you who are new to AirBnb and don't have an account, or are traveling with people who fit that description, use this link to sign up and it will knock $40 off your first stay! Not a bad deal considering how much value you get for staying in AirBnB's to begin with: https://www.airbnb.com/c/erich19406?currency=USD
Over-the-Rhine is a gorgeous collection of Italianate architecture that was built in the later half of the 1800's. It's been going through a major renaissance that started around 2006 and has grown in strength and quality ever since. OTR is the most popular social neighborhood in Cincinnati, so some areas are louder than others at night. Fortunately, our place is in the beginning of one of the residential pockets so you get the proximity and walkability to everything without the raucous bar crowd and impossible parking.

Ranked the #1 AirBnB in its category of about 360 in the area, our beautiful, newly-renovated Over-the-Rhine building is from 1880. The top of a 2-story property, it's perfect for a great weekend or being your home away from home in the Queen City, including one of the largest private balconies in all of downtown! Just a half block from Music Hall, Washington Park and a Streetcar stop, our place is perfect for making the most out of your time in OTR but is also on a calm residential street.
We think you'll find that the reviews left by our awesome guests tell you what to expect when you stay at our place. We're pretty thrilled at how much people have loved our condo, our location, and the experience we try to help them have. The private balcony is large and beautifully furnished with plants and plenty of seating. *Please Note: the granite mosaic firepit on the patio doesn't have a gas line yet, so it may just be a be a cool table during your visit, but we still love having a bottle of wine out there with the lighting down and some candles (we'll make sure there are plenty of candles for you if the gas line isn't up and running when you stay at our place). We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and designing in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day. As a result, you'll find features like historically-accurate bedroom sizes (small, but very functional with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Full), exposed brick walls, lovely hardwood floors, granite and marble counter tops, a gaming table, small desk, high vaulted ceilings throughout, a nicely equipped kitchen, 2-basin bathroom vanity, tons of natural light, full-length mirrors to for getting ready to go out, wireless Bluetooth speakers that work outdoors and one of the nicest, largest private patios in all of Downtown/OTR. Parking is free in the private lot. The spaces aren't reserved for each condo but there are plenty of spots. If you come in the winter and want to keep ice off your windshield, the entrance to the Washington Park garage is just a block away after you unload your bags from the open area on the street right next to our front door. Also, there are entry steps and a 1-story staircase, so please keep that in mind if you have mobility needs. Here are some of the highlights in a list we'll update as new things open: - Music Hall (Symphony, Orchestra, Ballet, Concerts, Balls, etc) - Washington Park is a great place to hang out, go to all the events, have drinks at the outdoor bar, etc - The list of restaurants and bars within walking distance is huge, we'll help you navigate the madness depending on what you're looking for - Breweries/Distilleries/Wine Producers: Rhinegiest, Taft's, Christian Moerlein, Three Points, Sam Adams, Northern Row, Skeleton Root, Northside, and Revel are all walkable and most are 1-4 blocks away.
A link with a detailed map will be sent to all guests to help you plan your trip. We thought this would be an improvement over a welcome book because this serves as a nice guide to refer to when you're out and about and is updated often. If the map gives your as many questions as it does answers, just shoot me a note or give me a call and I'll point you in the right direction.

~Historical architecture but modern design - with marble countertops, clean/colorful contemporary furniture, and exposed brick/ductwork. ~Remote control blackout shades, so you can sleep like a baby on a foam mattress ~Free Parking on Premises (many other Airbnbs in downtown advertise Free Parking, but many times their parking spot is in a garage a far walk away. Worth clarifying beforehand!)
Over-the-Rhine is the most popular neighborhood in Cincinnati right now, where all the well-known chefs are opening up their restaurants, and where people who like more curated experiences are spending their time. Welcome to our home, tucked away on a quiet residential street on a hill just four blocks north of Over the Rhine's entertainment district. The location and space is great for a weekend of entertainment or for a private getaway. Please note that the second bedroom is the living room, which can be converted to a cozy bedroom using the Sleeper Sofa. We're an easy 5-minute walk downhill to OTR's entertainment district, and a 3-4 minute Uber ride back up the hill.
Please note that the second 'bedroom' is the living room, which can be converted to a cozy bedroom using the Sleeper Sofa. You'll find a well-designed and well-stocked home: plenty of coffee, tableware, living room seating, and ample lighting. Our living room and dining room area are designed to be great social spaces. The main bedroom is cozy, welcoming, and warm. We stock plenty of extra linens, pillows, and towels.
We are four blocks north of Over the Rhine's entertainment district, which is a regional destination. Please note that Over the Rhine is a lesson in contrasts and our street is no exception. Our street is midway through the process of gentrifying: three houses to our right is a row of $750,000 townhomes, while three houses to our left you'll find affordable housing. Our street is safe and quiet, but we want you to be informed that you may come into contact with both low-income and upper-income people while you are out and about.

If you’re looking to stay near the action in OTR, this is the place. Completely renovated Historic Condo. 1,300 square feet. 2 Bedrooms. 2 Full Bathrooms. Huge Windows. Exposed Brick. Right in the Heart of the Over-the-Rhine Entertainment District. The condo is located on 12th street - a block and a half from Vine Street. Half a block from the streetcar stop on Main Street. Literally steps away from Cincinnati’s most sought-after restaurants and bars.
The condo is completely secure and private. Has a private entrance and a keypad entrance. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and separate, attached bathrooms. Full kitchen with all the appliances. (Full disclosure) As I mentioned above - this condo is on the second floor above a pretty popular bar. So it may not be the best for families with young children. But if you are in town and don’t mind some music and bar noise throughout the night, this is your spot.
Steps away from everything OTR – Cincinnati's restaurant and entertainment mecca. Grab a drink downstairs at Rhinehaus, a glass of wine next door at Revel. Walk in any direction for some of Cincinnati's best restaurants. And grab some late night eats at the Gomez walk-up window.

The New York Times just came out with their "52 Places to Go in 2018" list...and Cincinnati was listed at the #8 spot! That is largely due to the Over-the Rhine neighborhood. OTR is believed to be the largest, most intact urban historic district in the United States. Explore the beautiful Italianate architecture with German roots from the late 1800s. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but OTR also has a large variety of great restaurants, breweries, bars, and shopping. The theatre scene is thriving in this area as well...with the newly renovated Music Hall, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and the Ensemble Theatre within a few blocks of each other...and the Aronoff Center is only a 10 minute walk from the neighborhood. Over-the-Rhine also has fabulous parks, including Washington Park and Ziegler Park. Washington Park always has events happening throughout the year...featuring a playground, a huge splash pad in the summer, a deck to relax and have a drink, and it has beautiful views of Music Hall. Ziegler Park features a playground and a pool that is open in the summer! You can also find some of the coolest murals throughout Over-the Rhine. ArtWorks has transformed bare walls on the buildings in the city into works of art. The streetcar is a great addition to the neighborhood as well, which links OTR to downtown..making it easy get to Fountain Square and the Riverfront.
