  • Affordable, excellent location and very clean - the keypad checkin is extremely convenient! A great place to stay when in Boston

  • You arrive to the house and Gregory provides you the codes for the door by phone, but he never appears or shows, or meet you to ask you of any concerns.

  • Clean and simple in and out place with no complaints.

  • Great location, close to the T. Very easy check in process. Room is comfortable. I had an awesome stay. Thanks!

    Vivian2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • It is a budgetary stay for one night. The neighborhood is ok , near the edge of Northeastern Univ.

    Frank2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this space for four nights and it was great! There is a police headquarters nearby so there were quite a few sirens. Other than that, transportation was easy and the space was perfect for our use. Netflix was on the TVs, Gregory provided quick responses to questions, and it was super clean! There is also a delicious restaurant right next door if you want a treat.

    Nina2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay if you’re looking to go out during the day or night in Boston! This place is super close to the MBTA station which is also a huge plus. Very cozy and clean house. Highly recommended staying here.

  • Place was exactly as described. Very clean and in a good location.

    Brian2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was better than I expected it to be. The house was amazing, there were beautiful decorative pieces throughout the house. It seemed like it was put together with thought and care. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked. The restroom was clean. There are 2 rooms, the smaller room does not have AC, but there are heaters in all rooms. If we had travelled in the winter, we would not have even noticed. The house is a little far away from downtown. If you are traveling with a car then street parking in easy to find in the area. We found one about 7 feet from the house. Also, the train station-Roxbury Crossing, is 7-10 mins away, on foot. Nathan was very prompt in answering any questions or concerns that I had. Overall, I would 100% recommend Nathan's place.

    Purnima2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean and had plenty of thoughtful touches such as toiletries, coffee, tea, and a kitchen fully stocked with ingredients and cooking materials. We happened to be visiting the city during a brutal heatwave, so the air conditioning was much appreciated. There is a lovely backyard available to guests, which admittedly we did not avail of much as we were mostly using this place to rest our heads at night, however it was lovely and worth mentioning. There are others living in the same building, and occasionally the sound of people walking, or opening and closing doors could be heard, however this was never a real issue. The place is a little outside of the downtown core, however the Roxbury Crossing station is literally a three minute walk from the door, and the orange line can get you downtown in no time. This place made for a comfortable, accessable home base for me and my two friends who did our best to experience as much of Boston as we could over the course of five days. We found when shopping for accommodations that Boston can be a bit pricey in general, and we felt both at the time that we booked, and at the conclusion of our stay, that we had gotten a great value here. Nathan was an accommodating host who was always quick to respond to messages. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting Boston, particularly someone who does not want to pay downtown prices but still wants the downtown area to be easily accessible.

    Ben2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nathan had the place very well equipped with all necessary amenities!

    Megan2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to live in Boston

    Tiffany2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A few of my relatives and I decided to meet up for a mini family reunion in Boston, and Nathan's place was the perfect spot for us to stay. Nathan is very quick to respond to messages and was very accommodating with check-in, since our flight got in on the earlier side. We were extremely comfortable and the place has some really nice touches, like a water cooler and all kinds of kitchen supplies. It's also super close to the T. Would definitely stay here again!

    Laura2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nathan was very responsive and the apartment is clean, spacious and located in a diverse neighborhood of south Boston. It has all the essentials in terms of amenities and a bit more.

  • Pleasant stay. Excellent communication from Demetrios.

    Heidi2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This townhome is in Roxbury in a neighborhood undergoing to re-gentrification. It is very safe and extremely closely located next to the T. It is a brownstone walkup that houses what appears to be two other Airbnb’s. The kitchen was well stocked w cleaning and cooking supplies, but the refrigerator quit working the last day. The washing machine’s door didn’t like to lock but there was detergent to use. Parking was ample and on the street, but be aware of one side parking on Tuesday mornings for street cleaning!

    Abby2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay with very quick communication!

  • Very clean and accessible! Would stay here again! 10/10

    Gabrielle2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the space! The location was perfect and within walking distance to virtually everywhere we wanted to be. Our flat was clean, bright, spacious, and accommodating. We appreciated the open communication and friendliness of Demetrios, our host and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Zero complaints at all of the space! 10/10 would book again!

    Manny2018-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was exceptionally clean and well kept! Loved how quiet the surrounding neighborhood was, and how we were just a short trip from the heart of Boston. Would recommend to anyone coming with a larger group to the area.

    Abigail2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment made for a great stay overall. Pictures look exactly like the place in person. As a group of recent grads looking to celebrate graduation we weren’t sure about the location but getting back and forth to the North End was an easy and reasonably priced uber ride away. There was plenty of space for our whole group of 9 to sleep and feel comfortable. The street parking was also a huge plus as there were plenty of free options steps away from the apartment.

Located in historic Fort Hill (Highland Park), my home is in a wonderful & diverse urban residential/bedroom community. Steeped in history since the 1630, this hill has hosted figures such as several of the key founders of Harvard University, George Washington and Henry Knox during the Siege of Boston in the revolution, to the famous abolitionist William Llyod Garrison (whose home is close by and the water fountain in front of the house is designed in his image). After transforming into one of the nation's first streetcar suburbs, now Fort Hill is one of the most sought after and up and coming residential neighborhoods in the city with a diverse community of young professionals, working class and long time residents. The neighborhood is a history lover or architect's dream with every period represented. We have a progressive and engaged group of residents where one of the world's leading experts in urban farming resides, lots of public spaces, urban wilds (including our wild turkeys), community gardens, and has become city's foremost leader in passive houses and energy positive homes. From Wikipedia: "Today, Fort Hill is home to an ethnically and linguistically diverse community. Fort Hill has been recognized for its sizable population of residents with Irish, Puerto Rican, Dominican, German and Sub-Saharan African roots.[13] Over the last decade Fort Hill has experienced an influx of professionals, artists and students, many of whom attend Northeastern University, Massachusetts College of Art and Design or Wentworth Institute of Technology. Fort Hill is also often referred to as a neighborhood that is notable for having a high concentration of residents living with same-sex partners,[14][15] and has a history of its residents advocating for gay rights.[16]" My neighbors are wonderful and friendly, so please be sure to be friendly back and say hello to them as well. Check out @akBrownstone for more.
  • This is is a little gem. It feels a lot roomier than it actually is mainly due the highly efficient and custom design. You have many comforts: couch, eating table, reading section even snacks, which Jonathan graciously includes. Aside from the space you also get Jonathan, sincerely warm and welcoming. He really seems to enjoy sharing this space with guests. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. Ample street parking around. Not bad for getting back and forth; I took Uber to get back to prudential area - 10 min ride for just a few bucks on uber pool. Definitely would stay here again.

  • Great place to crash. Was really pleased with the quality of furniture and extra amenities, like filtered water pitcher and iron/ironing board.

    Matthew2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a great spot! Jonathan was extremely helpful and made us feel welcome in Boston. The room worked perfectly for what we wanted. I would highly recommend renting this room. Really close to the subway and in a neat part of town

    Jason2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan was very welcoming and responsive to communication. The room is clean and was very convenient for where I needed to go for work each day. The neighborhood is nice and many restaurants are within walking distance. Highly recommended!

  • Our stay at Jonathan's studio was great. He was able to accommodate our (very) late arrival by providing a lock box for the key, which was greatly appreciated! The studio was very tidy and comfortable for my boyfriend and I. It was really easy to catch the Orange line on the T and was only about a 35 minute walk from Fenway Park.

    Katie2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended!

    Danielle2019-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and bright studio apartment. Lots of parking and very accessible. The private entrance is a really nice bonus. Close to the T which is super handy. Definitely recommend staying with Jonathan! :)

    Ali2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • I felt very welcome. I was out and about for most of my stay. Jonathan was a very nice and the studio was exactly as advertised. The Neighborhood is in transition, but close to a T station and a Dunkin Donuts, which I love. Check out was at 11AM, but my flight did not leave until much later. Jonathan graciously allowed me to leave my bags there for safe keeping while I was out on the town before catching my felt. This saved me a lot of headache and I was able to retrieve my bags later. There was a large container of water filled up upon arrival and breakfast foods. If you need a place to stay in Boston, this is a great option.

  • This is an awesome, comfortable space in a beautiful home not too far from the center of Boston. Jonathan is a natural at the hospitality game and will do everything he can to make you feel at home. I really enjoyed exploring the Fort Hill neighborhood, from eating at the nearby Somali restaurant to getting some of the best sushi I've had in years. (Food is pretty high on my list -- can you tell?) The loft space is cozy and well-equipped; I loved how even the smallest of spaces were put to use. (That comfy chair/TV area was a lifesaver when I came back from my conference at night.) Somehow I didn't realize when I booked my stay that this is truly an open-air loft, but the curtains give you all the privacy you need and if you're a light sleeper there are ear plugs to block out noise from the floors below. The common areas were equally charming and user-friendly; Jonathan has a great system for divvying up things like dishes and utensils so you won't have to share those with other guests. I will say that there were times when sharing a single bathroom with 4-5 other people was tricky, but we made it work. The bathroom itself is super clean and had everything we needed. All in all we had a fantastic time here and would recommend this to anyone looking for a great place in an up-and-coming part of Boston you wouldn't normally see. Thanks again!

    Robert2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The rooms in this house are rented full-time, so it feels somewhat like a regular B&B. I didn't meet Jonathan in person, but the one message he sent me had all of the information I needed. My room was clean and spacious (at least in the horizontal directions), with plenty of room for my stuff in the dresser, on the desk, and on the bedside tables. It was thoughtfully equipped with a jug of water, a towel and washcloth, a bunch of maps; even a beer in the fridge. Best of all, the mattress was very comfortable (firm). The neighborhood is pretty, though there is very little commercial stuff in the immediate vicinity. Of course Boston is pretty small, and you can walk anywhere.

    Nicholas2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan’s place is a great place to stay at. The house is nicely updated throughout and the loft space is very welcoming with a comfortable bed. There was no issue not having a door as the space feels private having the whole floor to yourself. Everything is very clean and the shared bathroom modern and bright. Jonathan is a great host and provides detailed information about your stay and the area.

On top of that, he sends out really detailed check in procedures for the guests. Overall i had really wonderful experience. I would highly recommend to stay with him if you plan to visit Boston.

  • This room is awesome and could be the best choice for travelers. Very close to the orange line and just 10 mins walk to the shops and restaurants. Also its safety here and its close to the NEU and museum of fine art. Jonathan is very kind and helpful. The house is super clean and fashionable. And Jonathan already prepared the facials cleanser, shampoo and body wash for you. Everything is great and perfect.

Living is comfortable in this penthouse apartment in Boston's Fort Hill neighborhood. With skyline views, ample deck space and a cozy interior all surrounded by parks/green space, this modern brownstone is quiet, well situated and inviting.
The house is surrounded by parks and within walking distance or a quick transit ride to everything a visitor to Boston could desire! The space is a private room and comes with access to a shared bath, shared living room, shared kitchen and a private deck for relaxing in the urban oasis. The room contains a double bed, plenty of dresser and closet space, alarm clock with IPhone charger, bedside table, ironing board and luggage rack.
Walkable to parks and transit, shops and restaurants, this is one of Boston's hippest neighborhoods with every demographic represented.
  • The stay at Tobias' place was nice, the room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Tobias was really friendly, he stayed up until late in the night for us to check-in because we had trouble arriving, so we felt welcome right from the start. The only problem with his place is the lack of privacy we felt at times, because the walls are super thin, one can hear every word spoken in the living room next door and right above the room is Tobias' daughters room, who can be heard as well when she was on the phone. There is a private bathroom, but you have to through the living room to get there. If you have no problem with a little lack of privacy, then this place is perfect for you, for us it felt at times a little too intimate.

  • I stayed with Tobias for a month in March. Tobias answered all my questions and he has a wealth of knowledge about Boston and things to do in the area. Tobias was warm and welcoming and had good access to the Longwood Medical Area, around 20-25 minute walk. The whole property was incredibly clean and if I required any additional towels/ pillows they were all readily available. There was ample storage space in the room, with plenty to read! The washroom facilities were always clean and the shower was bright and clean. Despite the cold weather Tobias provided me with an oil heater to keep the room a great temperature. Unfortunately did not get to use the private deck too much in the snow. It was a pleasure staying with Tobias and I would recommend him to anyone as his home to anyone. A warm, welcoming and kind individual with a beautiful property in the area! Thank You.

  • Tobias’ place is a wonderful cosy room in a nice quiet location, providing easy access to downtown Boston and beyond via a short trip on the T. The room was presented nicely and was perfectly clean, and Tobias was more than helpful with local tips and advice. I can’t endorse this place emphatically enough.

  • Tobias is a great host and his house is in a great location close to the longwood medical area, groceries, restaurants, public transportation. Tobias is extremely knowledgeable about all Boston has to offer and provided some excellent tips during my stay!!

➤ Designed & spacious master bedroom suite w/ private en-suite bathroom, in a historical 19th century Boston Brownstone 🏠 ➤ Full of all daylight from direct sunny south/west facing large windows overlooking park & community garden 🌳 ➤ In an international & professional household 🌍 ➤ Located in historic Fort Hill/Highland Park 🇺🇸 ➤ 5 min walk to the T (Metro), bike & walking path, 3 stops to Back Bay city center 🚇 ➤ Walk to Longwood Medical Area, MFA, Northeastern, Fenway & South End 👣
Welcome to my home at Alvah Kittredge Brownstone in the historic, friendly and diverse neighborhood of Fort Hill/Highland Park. The House: My 144 year-old, newly restored classic Boston Brownstone home has four equally unique bedrooms available in this 3 level penthouse apartment (see also Custom Bedroom, Modern Bedroom, & Loft Bedroom https://www.airbnb.com/users/11228809/listings). The Room: A well balanced blend of modern and historic. The Master Bedroom Suite is well designed for a two people or individual and ideal for short or long term stays. The suite has a spacious walk-in shower and bench seating, double floating vanity. Plenty of storage to unload into the built-in closet, drawers and a spacious working desk. 220+sqft (20.4sqm) with every amenity possible, it feels like its own mini apartment in the apartment. A 2nd bed, an air mattress, is available upon request.

  • Jonathan is the perfect host very friendly and kind. At arrival he was home as agreed and showed me his fabulous place which he has renovated himself. The room is really big with your own tv with all the channels you can ask for. I big major bedroom bathroom with 2 sinks. All very clean and tidy. One think you should know Jonathan is that he is very tidy and keeps his apartment very clean. Best of recommendations to his place. The house is located close to the subway with easy access to Boston and the airport. It is no problem to stay at Jonathans place without a care. Roxbery is a neighborhood dominated by afroamericans but you find a mix of different races. In the white communities they will tell you to be careful but I felt safe and it was no problems. I get the feeling it is a neighborhood i transaction where more and more middle class move in. In the neighborhood you find an irish bar and a lot of different restaurants so you can get things close by.

    Joachim2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly host with a beautiful place. Might want to avoid if you're a light sleeper. A lot of street noise outside into the wee hours. Also there isn't much to do within walking distance.

    David2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house is lovely, peaceful and so clean! Jonathan is an incredible host, responsive, accommodating and welcoming. For business or pleasure, it's a winner!

  • Great place, very clean and in a nice area

    Shoshun-Taijeé2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Hotel quality accommodation within walking distance of T station and, albeit a bit further, the wonderful Museum of Fine Art. (Note, though, there's a bit of a steep hill to climb from the T station to reach the apartment). Only one local restaurant (Milkweed) appealed to us, but it served excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere. Jonathan was a very friendly and attentive host. Breakfast items are available from a good supermarket 15 mins or so walk away.

    Peter2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan was a great host! The apartment and room were lovely, and there were several nice small touches, like a couple chocolates, maps/recommendations, and a filled water carafe in the room, since it was a level up from the kitchen. The room was stylish and very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

    Cynthia2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan's master bedroom suite was the perfect choice for my 2-day vacation in Boston. I was looking for someplace extraordinarily clean, with its own bathroom, and close to public transportation - Jonathan's place was all three and more. The building and room are exactly as pictured, in a beautiful brownstone that Jonathan has clearly done a great job of caring for. Check-in was easy thanks to Jonathan's clear instructions. Parking is free and unlimited on most of the surrounding side streets, and I found a space pretty easily. Jonathan himself is warm, friendly, and helpful. I appreciated all the little touches he provides: a helpful list of recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, a handwritten welcome postcard, free bananas (and beer) in the kitchen. He clearly loves hosting guests in his home. I'll definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to others!

Hello ! Welcome in Boston. We are a french couple and we are offering a cute private room in Roxbury. Our apartment is located on the 4th floor without elevator "Fort Hill Condominium". Our dog, Paco lives in the apartment he's kind and very friendly. The kitchen and bathroom will be share. The station Jackson Square (orange line) takes you to Back Bay (center Boston) in only 4 stops and 5 min to walk from the apartment. A Stop n Shop near this train station, Jamaica Pond for a relaxing walk.
Private bedroom and living room, kitchen and bath for share.
Quiet condominium and street. good relationships with neigh-boors, close to train station, stop and shop, market and liquor store
  • Jade and Matthieu were very sweet and kind. I stayed at their place for 10 days and they made it super comfortable and smooth by their amazing hospitality. I loved their dog Paco and how friendly and playful he is. The room and bathroom were very clean and neat. The place is a 5-min walk to the Orange line which takes you to Boston downtown in a couple of minutes. Overall I recommend this place mainly because of the amazing hosts along with the location and cleanness.

    Al-Waleed2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • very clean and good dog! no doubt you will like!

    Keigo2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Matt, Jade and Paco are the best house hosts. Paco the dog is amazing, always smiling and likes the head scratching. His favorite toy is a red plastic fish. He always receives you with a smile and a lot of tail waiving. The house is fine, súper clean bathroom with hot shower and air conditioning. Only consideration: the six floor wooden staircase, which is a knee killer.

    Roberto2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, comfortable and quiet. Close enough to every place we need ti reach

    Stefano2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Jade's apartment. Everything was as advertised and it forms a good base for exploring Boston. Some parking tips: if you head up Cedar St. nearby, you can find some non-resident parking. The parking along the apartment is all residents only (you need a permit sticker) from 8AM-6PM. So you can park overnight but not during the day.

    Gregory2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place is not directly in the city center, which I prefer, but also very fast to reach using public transport. Jade was very accommodating and responsive and made sure I had everything that I needed. Paco the dog is very friendly and always happy to see you when you come in. Even though our daily schedules were very different (I was jet lagged), this was never a problem for the hosts, and I enjoyed staying there!

    Stanislav2018-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cute apartment with a VERY friendly and CALM dog. Paco was very welcoming when we arrived. :) Jade was very responsive and gave us plenty of privacy. The apartment is generally warm, but the room has a window AC unit, so you will have no issues with temperature. Be warned that you do have to go up about 4 flights of stairs like the posting lists. We were a bit concerned about this, but it ended up being not as bad as we expected. You may dread it at the end of of the day after walking around and having to climb stairs after all your walking. Still it was not as bad as I expected. Checking in and out was super easy. Overall, we had a nice stay.

    Sarah2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Walking distance to T train. Very convenient when commuting to the city. My gf and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jade was responsive and it was a comfortable place to stay!

  • Nami was a superb, fun and professional host. She knows literally everything about Boston, including shopping, attractions and food. She kindly provides anything you need (including food and snacks) and will make sure things are exceeding expectations. Nami is always available to message for any impromptu advice and tips throughout the day. Will definitely stay at Nami's again next time. Thanks heaps Nami!

  • Staying with Nami was an excellent experience! Her location is a 10-minute walk to Longwood Medical facilities (Brigham and Women's, Dana Farber, Beth Israel, Boston Children's) and so was excellent for myself or other health professionals who are rotating on elective/selectives. Nami was very available and struck a perfect balance between socializing with me and also leaving me if I was busy. Would highly recommend for people staying for short- and long-term trips. Thanks Nami!

  • Nami is an amazing hostess! She had snacks and water for me when I arrived, and was happy to recommend places in Boston to see and ways to get around. She loves her city! Her place was clean and comfortable and had everything you would need and even some extras in case you happen to forget something as you travel. Nami was very accommodating with flight arrival times and was always a text away (and quick to respond) if you needed anything.

    Liz2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nami is an extremely hospitable person who really cares for her guests. Upon arrival, she provided me with snacks and water and she has a range of toiletries that are free for use. Nami really loves the city she lives in and share this enthusiasm with her guests. She helped me a lot planning my time in Boston. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

  • The room and apartment were a great place for us to chill in the evenings, and it felt like a home from home. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The apartment is set in a great location - although a couple of minutes away from the road, it’s quiet and easy to navigate the neighbourhood. It was really useful having the subway and bus links close by - this is what we used while we stayed and it was so easy to get to. Up the road are lots of lovely little eateries such as Lilly’s Gourmet Pasta and Chilacate’s Mexican Street Food. Stop and Shop, Wallgreen’s and 7-11 are also close by, so it’s a perfect area to get all that you need. I would definitely recommend staying here - it’s a great little place in a good area, not too close to the hustle and bustle of the city, but still easy to get to.

    Eleanor2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Yusuf is a great host, he thanked us when we first booked and when I had questions about the place, he answered immediately, we got there and he contacted us immediately. His place is in a great location too, you can go anywhere from there! Thank Yusuf!

    Mara2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathon's attention to detail is thorough. Was welcomed by detailed checkin instructions and quick communication. Upon arriving, the home is warm and inviting. My bedroom felt like coming home to a longtime friend, with a personal handwritten note from Jonathon, a water carafe, a chocolate, and fresh towels and warm lighting. The little things make a lasting impression. I was in town for a conference, so the location was not the most convenient. It's about a $7 Uber-pool fare to the convention center. If visiting for pleasure or a baseball game, the location would be perfect. Would stay again, and would allow more time to enjoy Jonathon's home. Also had a chance to chat with the host, he is very friendly, personable, and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and I can very much recommend for anyone to stay with Jonathan. He was very sweet and helpful along with his mom, it always important to stay with people that care. • My partner and I stayed for a week at Terry's during our vacation and it was a great experience. We were happy with our decision to stay there. The space is comfortable; we were able to relax. The room is very close to the train, so it was easy to hop on the train and get around Boston and come back to our room whenever we wanted. We felt welcomed, safe, and comfortable. I would recommend it without hesitations.

    Anna2018-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect about our stay at Terry's place... -the location was in a nice neighborhood just at the edge of the city, with a 15-20 min subway ride to center city Boston (the subway station is only a 5 min walk from Terry's place) -Immaculately clean and comfortable room, with fresh sheets, towels, and everything else you might need for your stay (tons of tourist guidebooks, toiletries, fridge, coffee maker, snacks, etc) -We did not get to see Terry, but he was accessible by phone even at late hours and was very helpful in making sure we got into our room okay I highly recommend Terry's place, and if you visit Boston definitely do the Freedom Trail Walk that starts at Boston Common!

    Laura2010-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Terry welcomed us upon arrival and was extremely accommodating to our stay. We felt at home and our expectations were better than we imagined. The experience here was memorable and definitely a must to visit again. A FIVE star experience!

  • Very comfortable, homely, quiet and private accommodation within easy walk of the T. Fridge and coffee maker as well as crackers provided. Stereo and TV. Walk up narrow 2 flights of stairs to own apartment not a challenge, except when loaded with luggage and then not really! Terry is very hospitable whilst not intrusive. Would stay here again.

Bartlett Station Condominiums are the newest development in the area. Located in a vibrant and creative district featuring a public events plaza, public market, shops and interactive arts. My home has hardwood floors, air conditioning, in-unit washer and dryer, a large refrigerator and plenty of storage space.
  • The condo was sparkling clean and spacious. Benny was a great host and provided very clear check-in instructions. The views of downtown from the living room and the guest room of his condo are AMAZING!! I also really appreciated having a private bathroom. A great experience. Thanks Benny!

    Mercy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Benny's apartment is a clean and spacious two bedroom, two bathroom unit (with washer and dryer) in a new apartment building in the Fort Hill neighborhood of Roxbury. On top of a great apartment that had everything I needed at an unbeatable price, Benny was so gracious and accommodating. He rearranged his schedule to meet me after I misread my train schedule, offered beers and food items on arrival, and checked in throughout my trip to make sure everything was okay, without being too intrusive. I can't recommend this place more!

  • This house is nice, very stylish, with lots of books about art, and the overall style has a retro style. It’s a bit of a hassle to find this house in Boston, but it’s not a problem. A very happy journey.

    Carol2019-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • My room was very nice and clean and my back very much appreciated the comfortable bed. I loved all the tasteful decorations, old-fashioned bathtub, and the many books and information about Boston. The place was a bit of a climb up a hill from the orange line subway stop and it was in a residential area, so there were not many restaurants within a short walking distance. I did appreciate that neighborhood was nicely quiet at night. I would stay there again next time I'm in Boston.

  • Charming and exactly as described. Nice updates to a classy old building.

  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay. This was just like a hotel room. The price was amazing and affordable. A lot cheaper than an actual hotel. It was very cute and cozy. Well decorated and comfortable. The bed was great considering that I do have neck problems. Terry was very flexible and arranged to have the room ready earlier than expected. Check-in is normally at 3pm, we arrived at 11am and the room was ready for us. Check-out is at 12pm, however, our flight back wasn't until 6:30pm. We were able to store our bags before leaving. This is a great place and great location. The train was 3 mins walk away and it brought us wherever we needed to go. There was a pretty steeped hill we had to walk up and down to get to the train, but it really didn't bother me. Highly recommended and would definitely return if we visit Boston again!

    Annie2014-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This room was even better than expected - was only a couple minute walk to the subway station, very comfortable, clean, and on a quiet street. Terry also makes sure to provide lots of information about nearby amenities as well as neat things to see for out of town visitors. Would highly recommend.

    Alex2014-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • The spot in Roxbury was a nice looking Victorian room, fun decorations and well appointed. Having Air Conditioning on the weekend we we’re their was a welcome respite! Terry was responsive and helpful!

    Rene2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and compact space in Fort Hill. It was a short walk to Northeastern University where our son attends. Comfortable and very clean. A few minor maintence needs and the host was very responsive. Great price and would stay there again!

    Laura2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Terry's place is great! The place is super convenient with 5 mins walk away from the subway. And the decoration of the place is very beautiful. Me and my boyfriend had a really good time there.

  • Michelle is an awesome host. My stay was for 3 months and I never had any problems. Would definitely stay here again.

    Hector2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Michelle's place was awesome! She is a great host and prepared everything for us, even though we booked the room on very short notice. Communicating with her was very easy and she made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was clean and the cats contributed to the cosy atmosphere. They were very nice and cautious. Also, being able to walk to the T was convenient. I would definitely stay with Michelle again!

    Vera2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great, long term stay at Michelle’s place. It worked so well for me that I extended my stay twice. The apartment is as described, cozy and homey. The location is convenient to public transportation. And it’s easy to get to downtown and fun neighborhoods by bike, public transportation or ride share. The neighborhood is residential and there is not much right there for shops, bars and restaurants but it’s pretty easy to get to livelier areas and if you’re a walker or biker the location works particularly well. This room is a good size and has good light. There is plenty of room for clothes and things and there is a big closet for storage. The bathroom is nice and the kitchen works very well for cooking and eating. There is laundry in the basement with a free washer and $1 dryer. The cats mostly stay out of the apartment except one but you do need to be ok with cats being around. Michelle is great. Friendly and responsive to calls, texts and messages, pretty quick to deal with anything that requires attention and fun to chat with. She sometimes bakes muffins or sweets for the guests, brings in bagels and cream cheese or sets up a little in-house dinner. I was very happy in Michelle’s apartment, met some great people there and highly recommend, particularly for long term stays.

    Jed2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place to stay. Quiet, clean, roomy and inviting place. I would recommend anyone to stay with Michelle in case you need a nice place to stay in Boston.

    Alejandro2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had read comments that Michelle is an airbnb superhost...and she definitely is. I had a great time staying at Michelle's. The room was great, with a lot of space, the bed was very comfy. The neighborhood is residential and very pleasant, conveniently located a few subway stations from downtown Boston. Coming from Canada, I lost my passport a couple of days before I was due to arrive in Boston. Michelle went out of her way to accomodate me. She also took me to the nearest pharmacy upon arrival eventhough it was late. She is also very knowledgable about the city. She also gave me great advice to go to the seaside 1 hour north of Boston. I highly recommend staying at Michelle.

    Vincent2014-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is a great host, she is alwayas available to help you with everything. The house is big and really nice. I think it has a great location near the bus stop or the orange line. The bathroom is really clean. I would definitely come back

    Omar2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very nice and very clean. It was a great place to stay during my first month in Boston. Michelle was a great host - highly recommend.

    Jennifer2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This room with a king-sized bed is perfect for one person! The big sofa and the shelf also made the room more comfortable. Michelle changed a desk for me because I have to do some studying during my stay. She is definitely the one who take her guest's needs seriously and try her best to help! The kitchen, restroom and the living room are so clean and lovely, especially the kitchen, which is equipped with almost everything for cooking. Sometimes there might be a plate of cakes or muffins on the table baked by Michelle, or you might be invited to a potluck with other roommates, eating, talking and laughing together! Michelle is no doubt a super host! She not only takes care of her guests, but give suggestions on your trip in Boston. She has told me many stories about the neighborhoods, the places to enjoy a meal and even some interesting spots around Boston, such as Rockport and Salem. My 2-month life in Boston wouldn't have been so wonderful without staying here!

  • A great place - very comfortable bed and about 2 blocks to the nearest Metro station. Quiet neighborhood. All the amenities that you need for a stay. Most comfortable for 2 people but the option of a pull out couch probably best suited for children close family members as the space would be pretty tight. Easy independent check-in instructions and never had to bother Terry! :) Very happy we chose this place, would absolutely stay here again on our next trip.

  • Kenneth was awesome to work with, very fast to respond and accommodating. Our flight got in early and he let us drop our bags off early. Location was perfect, only around the corner from the T. Highly recommend.

    Amber2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kenneth's. The apartment is as described and Kenneth was responsive to our emails. The location of the apartment is perfect: 2 minutes walk from the subway, with a blue bike station, and good restaurants and pubs nearby. The parking spot is very useful! My only advice: if you are a sensitive person (like me) and you like to go to bed early (like me), bring your earplugs to enjoy a quite night. In short: a great price-quality ratio in Boston!

    Emilie2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ken's place had a great location and was super stylish and comfortable. The tv and Netflix access was awesome and the setup of the place is great. Check-in was super easy. Would highly recommend!

  • Kenneth was so great to work with! We appreciated his quick response to our questions and his flexibility. The location was perfect for everywhere we needed to go. Bright private room in quirky bohemian apartment in 110-year-old house. Only 3 very walkable miles from the city center and about a mile and a half from Longwood Medical area. Please do not book without first reading though the entire post and sending me a note!
Private, simple room in an unpretentious bright funky apartment in a 110 year old house in the geographical heart of Boston which is 3 miles from the city center. The room is in the second floor apartment of a two-apartment house. It has a queen size bed and a small closet. Room has southern exposure so there is lots of sun all day. Bathroom is shared. Convenient to the Pierre Lallement/Southwest Corridor bike path; the house is a 10 minute walk to the Orange Line on the subway. • I stayed at Michelle's place for only one night, but it was a good time: the house is fine, the room is big and Michelle is a very helpful, well-organized host: always on time, always willing to help. She is very quick to respond to anything and always available.

    Aljaz2012-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great time staying at Michelle's place. Great host with excellent accommodations!

    Ben2018-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle has been the most gracious and welcoming host, always happy to provide advice and info. Her house is located quite close to the T, which makes it a good place to visit Boston's various neighbourhoods. And the room we booked was full of light and spotless. Finally, don't miss her muffins, for Michelle is also a top-notch cook. We definitively intend to be back in Boston at Michelle's.

    Vincent2012-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was wonderful this summer living here! I was interning this summer in Boston, and Michelle's place was ideal! Clean, safe, and hospitable, I couldn't have asked for more! Michelle also knows all the good things to do in Boston, so if you're not from the area, she is a Bostonian guru! Any questions I had for Michelle, whether it was where to get more towels or what to do on the weekend, she had the answer and was able to help out! I would strongly recommend staying with her if you're in the city!

    Nathan2013-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I came to Boston for the marathon and found this quite special place. Comfortable room and bed at a most reasonable price, but with a extremely kind and welcoming host. Michelle makes the most delicious baked muffins, sweet buns etc. We had delightful conversations, and she couldn't have been more helpful in directing me to places of interest including the magnificent Boston Museum of Fine Art and the Isabel Stewart Gardner Museum both within walking distance. She even helped with my bags on the way to the train when leaving. Michelle was the perfect host for my visit to Boston. I would recommend this BnB without reservation.

    Tilopa2015-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is an amazing host and is very kind and welcoming. Room was great, and location was perfect.

    Tanner2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say is: stay with Michelle! She's a wonderful hostess. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable by picking me up from the T station after I arrived, and also walking with me to my conference site so I wouldn't get lost. I've never had anyone else do that...anywhere! Also, Michelle is open to questions about Boston and genuinely cares about your experience in the city. I highly recommend staying with her.

750 sq ft of recently renovated contemporary living space. Our 1 bedroom, 1 bath brownstone is located on beautiful Fort Hill near John Eliot Square, convenient to Hospitals and Universities and a 5 minute walk to the Roxbury Crossing T stop. Bright, open, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Baseboard heat. New queen size Casper mattress. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Kitchenette includes mini fridge, griddle, toaster oven, microwave, coffeemaker, etc.
This 1890 brick building has many period details inside and out. The unit available for rent is the basement apartment which was completely renovated in April, 2016. The stairs are narrow so use caution when descending with your baggage.
Historic Fort Hill is an established and quiet neighborhood. John Eliot Square, site of the oldest wooden church in Boston, is adjacent to our place. There is a convenience store across the street from the building. Dudley Square is a ten minute walk. Fort Hill is one of the oldest areas in Boston. The area is well lit and we've had no safety issues with our guests. Fort Hill has become quite gentrified with a mix of older, life long residents, medical professionals from nearby hospitals as well as students from bordering universities. There is usually on street parking in front of the building.
  • My husband and I had a great stay at Bill’s home. Communication was great, check-in was easy and efficient and the home was orderly and clean with everything needed during our stay.

  • Lovely space with lovely people to take care of you!

    McKennah2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The space was so much bigger than I expected and so clean and open. It’s got amazing charm and really modern touches which overall made us not want to leave! My favorite elements were the entry door or “the hobbit door” and the amazing Casper mattress. After long days out and about, it was the perfect space to come back to. Thank you again!

  • Had a great stay here. Everything you need for comfortable lounging after exploring the city! Thanks again, Bill.

  • My sister and I had an amazing stay at Bill's place in Boston! It was very welcoming and homey. After staying in town all day, we couldn't wait to be back in our "home away from home". The host was very helpful and left brochures of what to do and see in Boston, as well as a map for the T and directions on how to access it. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definitely stay here again if we come to Boston! Thank you SO much, Bill!

    Carson2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at this charming apartment. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. It is very close to the T line, and we felt very safe staying here, since there are essentially 3 doors to go through to get to the apartment. Although we did not get to meet Bill personally (which was our fault because as soon as we got there, we dropped our things off and headed out to town), he sent me a personal message to check on us. He responded promptly to any questions I had. He also left pamphlets and a map of the T line, which was very handy!

  • Great stay, just as described studio apartment. Close to the T stop. Very clean, A/C worked fine. FYI it's a combo bathroom/shower space, but worked great. You have to cross thru the shower area to get to the toilet, kinda small space for changing clothes. Fridge but no freezer, no oven or range for reheating but microwave worked great, and the hosts provided bagels and coffee Overall was exactly as expected and perfect space for us.

    Albert2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a clean well kept area. Perfect for a short getaway.

    Geovanni2018-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: very close to train and convenient to downtown Boston, stylish apartment, generally pretty comfortable, plenty of towels, left some cookies which was nice after a long day Cons: can feel a little unsafe at night especially traveling alone as a woman, roads are noisy because it's on the first floor and the walls are paper thin, no closet space to hang clothes Overall, i think it's a great value and maybe good for couples minus the noise but if you're a heavy sleeper this wouldn't bother you.

Small room in a quirky 3 bedroom apartment in a funky 110 year-old house. A mile away from Longwood/Fenway hospitals and colleges; 10 minute walk to Roxbury Crossing; only 3 walkable/bikeable miles from downtown. This is a transit oriented destination with easy access by bike and public transportation to everything. Please do not book without first sending a query!
Private, small, simple, sunny room in an unpretentious funky apartment in a 110 year old house in the geographical heart of Boston which is 3 miles from the city center. Room includes bed, desk, dresser, and very small closet. Good for grad students and researchers who need temporary lodging while working at one of the Longwood/Fenway hospitals or colleges or for folks who need a place to stay while looking for more long-term housing. Rent includes: furnished room, bed linens and towels, electricity, gas, heat, hot water, wifi, and a kitchen stocked with all necessary accoutrements for cooking (guests provide their own food). Bathroom is shared as are sitting room and kitchen with the two other people renting the two other bedrooms in this apartment and maybe occasionally one of their short-term guests. The neighborhood is on a hill and my house is on a hill, too, so you will be walking up a hill. On a hill. Yes, two hills. And then some stairs. Sedentary types, while welcome, might not be comfortable here. Convenient to the Pierre Lallement/Southwest Corridor bike path; 10 minute walk to the Orange Line on the subway or the Silver Line to Downtown. The city center, airport, and major hospitals are all easily accessible by public transport. The Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner museum, MASSArt, and other Fenway colleges as well as Longwood Medical Area and Harvard Medical School are 1.5 miles away. The BU Medical Center is 1.4 miles away and National Center of Afro-American Artists is .8 miles away. Je peux parler un peu de français!
Architecturally and geologically interesting; historic, residential, and quiet neighborhood with a racially, ethnically, and economically diverse population. Many, many years ago known as the "Boston Highlands", the neighborhood is now called Highland Park or Fort Hill and is on a hill.
  • I stayed at Michelle's place for nearly four months and I had an amazing time. Michelle was always very helpful and made my stay very easy. The place was very clean, perfectly equipped and central to the city as I was studying at Northeastern University. I can absolutely recommend the place!

    Felix2015-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • I arrived to Michelle's home on my first evening in Boston. I was also my first evening in the U.S. and my first time on airbnb. Being a wonderful host, Michelle did everything to make me feel welcome. She gave me valuable advice and support (a reference!) in my search for permanent housing, and everyday life in Boston. During my stay, I really felt at home. At the same time, I had just as much privacy as I needed. The room and common areas (shared with another two visiting students at Harvard) were clean. I spent there 8 nights and the only thing is could regret is not to have booked the room for a longer period.

    Rapolas2015-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place. Michelle is super helpful and friendly. It would be a bonus for you if you love cats, since there are many around!

    Numb2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was an awesome host. She didn't have to meet me at the Orange Line Station around seven in the morning, but luckily she did. I would have gotten lost walking toward the place. The room is very cozy, and I slept very easily without any worries. I stayed there for five days and enjoyed every minute. About the location, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the Orange Line or Dudley Station. In my opinion, it’s close to majority of Boston attractions: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Common, TD Garden, Aquarium, etc. If I ever qualify for the Boston Marathon, I would definitely stay there again Thank you for your hospitality.

  • Wonderful host!!! Felt at home away from home for 12 weeks.

  • Worth the money to go.

    Wei2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is a great host and much more than "just" a landlady. She does everything to make her guests feel comfortable. We even got a Christmas tree, cakes, and cookies! The room was very nice (though small) and the shared space (kitchen, living room, bathroom) is cozy and has all amenities you might need for a longer stay (I stayed for three weeks). The neighborhood is close to the city center, but it is quite a walk to the next supermarket (20 min). Thank you Michelle!

    Katja2014-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my three months stay at Michelles house. The room was very nice and cozy and the shared spaces have all amenities you might need. The neighborhood is well connected to the city center and it's an easy walk to the Longwood Medical Area. Michelle is such a considerate and thoughtful host. She help me to settle in and made sure to check if I needed anything and she also prepared occasional treats which were always delicious. If you are looking for a place that feels like home you should consider staying here - thank you Michelle!

Freshly renovated first floor studio apartment with new floors, fresh surfaces everywhere, efficiency kitchen and bath. Queen bed sleeps two, Ikea foldout couch has space for one more, or two snugglers. 7 min walk to T - just 3 stops from Back Bay, 6 to downtown!
The kitchen has a two burner cooktop, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. The refrigerator is a below-the-counter variety. If you're looking to throw dinner parties or bake cakes, it's probably not what you're looking for. But if you need a basic, clean kitchen to prepare meals as an alternative to exploring the city's culinary scene, it's quite sufficient.
It's pretty residential on the street, but places to eat and shop start showing up about 10 minutes away on foot. You'll also be close to the T so you can get practically anywhere. Jamaica Plain is right around the corner - a diverse assortment of restaurants can be found there, as well as a Whole Foods if you'd rather stay in and cook. The renowned Sam Adams brewery is only 2 stops away by T.
  • Had a great time in Boston. Location was great to Fenway Park

  • Updated and comfortable place for a couple. About 10-15 minutes walk from subway station. Very easy check-in and check-out process.

  • Alex was very friendly and gave me good pointers for where to head to in Boston. The apartment was clean, large and only a short walk to the metro and to plenty of restaurants. The street was very quiet but felt safe

  • Alex is very helpful, he recommended several restaurants and they are all good.

  • Adorable place, 5 minutes walk to the orange line. Very accessible.

    Blake2018-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Alex's apartment. Everything was as described, if not better. In fact, it is more spacious and lighter than it appears in the photos. It is in a quiet but interesting eighbourhood, just a short walk to 2 train stations and easy to get from and to the airport. Alex was easy to communicate with and provided very clear instructions for getting to and into the apartment.

    Jan2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty great place, the programmed temperature was a little low for me, so I had to override a few times, but otherwise a great place.

    Diego2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Alex’s place was good. Photos of the place were accurate. He is very quick to responding to any questions we had on our stay.

Cozy, modern bedroom in an elegant, spacious apartment close to Longwood Medical Area and easily accessible by public transportation.
The spacious apartment is filled with brick walls and elegantly decorated. There is a park across the street and a large community garden behind it, and most of the time it is so quiet you would think you're in the countryside! The apartment has every convenience -- washer and dryer, high-speed internet, dishwasher, and microwave. The room has its own heater and air conditioner for optimal comfort. I'm a potter, so you'll find pottery (mine and others') scattered liberally throughout the apartment.
Highland Park is a quiet, residential section of Roxbury. Historically the area where wealthy Bostonians had summer homes, the architecture is beautiful. There is a Frederick Law Olmsted-designed park about a five minute walk away and you'll see many historic homes if you stroll around the area, including the Alvah Kittredge house and William Lloyd Garrison's house.
  • She was a great tenant. She was timely in responses, was able to make any accommodations, and friendly to boot.

    Mark2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia's place is one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen. It is so stylishly decorated and her artwork is amazing. The place is in a great location, since it's less than a 20 minute drive to any place within Boston. The bedroom and bathroom are both spotless. We had a great time staying there and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

    Giang2018-08-22T00:00:00Z

  • Alicia was a great host and her place is very cozy and stylish! She made me feel at home immediately. The location is very convenient for walking, buses, the subway, and there's a Hubway bike share station nearby too. I would definitely stay here again if I make another trip to Boston.

  • Great location. Only a block from the Orange Line. Very nice living room and kitchen. My bedroom was clean and roomy and quiet. However, there are at least 5 rooms being rented and only 2 bathrooms, so really more of a hostel type environment.

  • A nice large comfortable room and and bed. Easy walking distance to the metro stop with access to the city centre. Check in was well communicated and self service via key codes sent at the check in time. You can use the house WiFi from the login provided to get the codes on arrival. This house is all Airbnb or similar lets (4 bedrooms). The bathroom was not the cleanest but think this was due to other guests and not the host.

  • This was a great place to stay! A very comfortable room in a reasonably quiet neighborhood--I didn't mind being on the ground floor at all. Greg was an excellent host--kept the place clean and was very prompt in answering my questions via chat. As a budget traveler I also appreciated that there was a grocery store and pharmacy about 10-15 minutes away, on foot, and the kitchen was well-equipped, so I was able to save a little by preparing my meals. It's a 2-minute walk to the nearest T station, which made it super easy to get into town.

    Jonathan2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Super convenient to get to from the orange line or the airport. If you are trying to go to Fenway you'll have to Uber or walk 30 minutes. Overall extremely nice!

  • This was a great place to stay for a weekend getaway to Boston. You can walk to the subway station from here. You can also walk in 15 minutes or so to the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, and some other sights. It was spotless clean and comfy. We didn't see any other guests around. A nice quiet retreat.

  • I had a great stay here. The place is nicely decorated, and is close to Roxbury Crossing T station (Orange line), which makes it really easy to travel around. During my stay, the shared kitchen was clean, and so was the bathroom. Although I never met Greg in person, I had no problem communicating with him online. From his quick and helpful responses, I could tell that he is good host.

    Quan2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely not a bad place to stay. Overall, very happy, but the price of $127.00 for one night felt a bit much for it. We didn't meet the host but he was good at communicating on time. The house/room was clean and there was not much noise from the other guests.

  • The space is very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was already kicking when I got there. It is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk to the Roxbury stop on the Orange line subway station which is about 15 to 20 minutes to downtown Boston. Check-in and check-out was super simple. The room had a tv and Netflix which was a nice touch. I highly recommend staying here if you are ever looking to visit Boston.

  • Great place to stop for a rest.

    Jiefu2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Right near a nicely maintained subway station. We also enjoyed being close to the Islamic Center because there was a lot of afternoon and evening family-oriented foot traffic that gave the neighborhood a friendly vibe -- ginormous potlucks seemed to be a daily event. Also, there were several convenient bus lines within a block or two and we were an easy and pleasant walk to Northeastern. The third floor rooms are quite small, but entirely serviceable for anyone not much more than 6 feet tall, with good AC if that is necessary. I'd gladly stay here again.

Welcome to my home at Alvah Kittredge Brownstone in the historic, friendly and diverse neighborhood of Fort Hill/Highland Park. The House: My 142 year-old, newly restored classic Boston Brownstone home has four equally unique bedrooms available in this 3 level penthouse apartment (see also Custom Bedroom, Master Bedroom Suite, & Loft Bedroom https://www.airbnb.com/users/11228809/listings). The Room: A well balanced blend of modern and historic. The bedroom is well designed for 1 guest only and ideal for long term stays. Plenty of storage to unload into the built-in closet, and drawers. 120sqft (11.2sqm).

The house is wonderful, well decorated and very clean. It's at 5 minutes walk from the Roxbury train station in a nice, quiet and safe neighborhood. We had a very good weekend in Boston and we would definitely stay again in Jonathan place!

  • The stay at Jonathan's was great! His place is so well kept, organized and clean! The area is quiet and away from all the noise at night. Metro is 5-7 minutes walk. Jonathan was very welcoming, a true global citizen and we had a great chat. He really thought about all the things to make our stay comfortable and was very accommodating. There was even a guide customized by him and chocolate, all as a welcome gift! We had a very enjoyable time and would definitely come back in the future :)

  • It was great pleasure to stay here. The room was clean and shared space is maintained clean throughout the whole stay. And many essential things like cups, cutleries, toilleteries, etc. were prepared for me to use in separate cabinet. Jonathan was quite responsive and willing to help. Also, the updated modern furnitures and gadgets futher elevated the experience a lot.

  • Jonathan was a great host. The room was clean and comfortable, the check-in and check-out process was extremely convenient, and his communication was timely. The surrounding neighborhood was charming and really captured the feel of the Northeast. The location is excellent and close to many sites by public transportation or a quick Lyft. I highly recommend staying here.

  • It was great to stay at your place. It was clean and beautiful. Even though I couldn't see Jonathan during my stay however I felt that I'm welcomed by him from his message both on Airbnb and the card he left for me. Thank you so much Jonathan!

Comfy private room and convenient basement level apartment with lots of charm and character. Loads of great art throughout the space will calm your senes and make you feel at home. Forthill is a safe homebase for exploring Boston, attending a conference or previewing schools. Watch Hulu or Roku stream tv or just relax on the queen bed. Place is 4 blocks to the Roxbury Crossing orange line metro. Centrally located the apartment is a 10-15 min Uber ride to anywhere in Boston.
The apartment is set in the historic and sought after Fort Hill neighborhood. It has great restaurants and a supermarket just down the street. The neighborhood also has great parks if you want some green space or just to take a walk.
  • The place was very clean, conveniently located, and value for money.
