Great clean place in prime location! Center of all attractions in the city by the BAY.. restaurants, coffee shops, bars, parks, shopping.. few blocks from the famous Lombard cricket Street, fisherman wharf and downtown UNION SQUARE with cable cars-
  • this was our first time renting a room rather than a private place. Liliana and her husband made us feel at home right from check in. we loved the location and the view from the bedroom window of the Golden Gate Bridge. We definitely recommend staying with Liliana

    Giovanni2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location with great value. Liliana is an amazing host, always checked on me to make sure everything is okay. She was very flexible for check-in and check-out time. Definitely I would love to come back.

  • Nice homelike place. Location is great. Liliana is an AWESOME host. Really enjoyed the talk. Hope I could have stayed longer. A little bonus: you can have a glimpse of the bridge from your room.

  • Liliana is a wonderful and accommodating host! Great location, clean, hospitable, and very friendly.

  • Lili was a great host. She was friendly, accommodating, and communicated well. Her place is in an amazing location. I also very much enjoyed the room and the view. Overall, very pleasant stay. Thanks!

  • Liliana is wonderfully warm host. Her beautiful room with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge is centrally located near the Marina, from which in all directions beautiful strolls await.

    Klaus2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • With lovely views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco area, the space was scenic, beautiful, and quiet. A short walk to the bay, Fisherman's wharf etc... Liliana is a super friendly, sweet host. I would definitely stay there again.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Kenny's place. The location is great, it is very spacious, and there are so many small things that are done well to make the stay more comfortable. If we come back to SF we will stay here again!

    Aaron2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Kenny and his family was like staying with friends or family. They are incredibly hospitable and kind people, they invited me for breakfast or the 4th of July celebration, helped me in so many situations!.. And I loved the location, so many beautiful trails along the Marina, in Presidio and near the Golden Gate!..

    Natalia2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Can see the marina from windows! Walk across the street for great views of Golden Gate Bridge. Bike rentals and Safeway grocery store just a few min walk away. Cool vibe with remote control shades and underbed lighting. Very comfy beds!

    Dee2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky enough to be Kenny and Jessica’s first guests at Airbnb. The apartment is so modern, stylish and clean, situated at one of the most convenient locations in San Francisco. Minutes away from the beach and from supermarkets and restaurants. Kenny and Jessica were incredible hosts. My friend and I were constantly amazed by their hospitality and their kindness. Small touches like stocking up the fridge and buying us organic fruits and flowers, to big things like helping us with our laundry when we were running late and offering to bring us a fan because we were caught in a rare San Fran heat wave. I can’t recommend this amazing place enough.

    Sara2019-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kenny is the man. The apartment is in a prime location. Simply cross the street to the water (!), or walk a few blocks the other direction and you are in the heart of excellent dining, night life, etc. The space itself was not only clean and large by SF standards, but Kenny decked the place out in style. Tons of great amenities in the living room and bedroom (both stylistic and functional), along with nice touches all around. Check-in was super easy keypad entry when we stayed there. Beds were very comfortable. Kenny and his wife were responsive and very helpful during our stay. I don't always review my Airbnb stays, but this apartment was fantastic.

    Eric2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay, super hospital, very nice

    Lucas2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kenny’s place a better than in the photos! I reserved the space for my parent’s stay in San Francisco, as I thought it was going to be more comfortable than staying in a hotel for the week. The home had great amenities and it was all very thoughtful. They had all the bathroom necessities, snacks, drinks, cups, even phone chargers, and more. It made their stay very comfortable. Thank you for the stay!

    Cristina2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great place and a great host. I recommend this stay 100%! You will love the location and the host!

Cow Hollow Studio a charming studio in one of the City’s most interesting neighborhoods. Cow Hollow Studio is a twenty minute to Fisherman’s Wharf. Near numerous public transportation options. Ideal for extended family visits or business assignments.
  • We stayed in the apt for almost 2 months. The apartment was clean and good located. All the amenities were in good condition. The major cons: 1/ it is impossibly noisy. You cannot concentrate on work because of all the shuffling upstairs (it is located on the ground floor) and in the garage (there is a door right next to the bed that goes directly to the garage). We've been woken up many times early in the morning because of the activity in the garage (washing, drying, talking etc.). 2/ there is almost no sunlight in the apartment. It is super dark. Lights always have to be on 3/ no desk for working Also, we had an issue with the parking. It is on-street and permit only. We were promised assistance with getting a parking permit, but did not really get any. So we had to find a parking garage for an additional $300/month

    Evgeny2018-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and clean studio with a full kitchen and all of the amenities. Note, it’s got upstairs neighbors so if you are sensitive to apartment-style noises like footsteps from above and washing machine next door, it’s not for you.

    Sara2018-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost this is not a review of Jan. He's just a property manager trying to do right by his client. I recommend that Jan ditch this client because this is going to be a messy, long process. Jan's client, the homeowner, broke in and stole from me. (This is an in-law unit and the homeowners live in the main house). I was a resident for over 30 days - this was my home. I was entitled to written notice before my home was entered and I was not given it. Instead, one day the home owner went on a fishing expedition to determine why their electric bill went up. (For context this was winter where it's 41 degrees at night -there's lots of reasons the electric bill will jump. Moreover you're paying $100 a day to live in the basement of a home that was sold for 1.7million so you'll have to excuse me for not being sympathetic whatsoever.) The space is very large and open, no doors to close in order to create a small space to heat, so I had 2 space heaters on opposite sides of the apartment in order to heat the place. (The built-in heater is broken, it's just a prop with a thermometer on it.) They rifled through my belongings, stole both heaters (one of which is mine), and cleaned some things so as to cover up what they did - they're trying to act like this was "monthly cleaning" and they were justified. You did not notify me, full stop. That makes this criminal trespassing. You can feel as justified as you'd like to feel, but you were not. This was a crime. The theft was also a crime - it doesn't matter than the perpetrators confessed and returned my belongings. (Only after arguing with each other about whether or not to do so - the complete audacity!!) I still can't tell if anything else was stolen as all my belongings had been rifled through. Lastly I was left with no heat for the final two nights except the heat provided by my own device - one could easily argue that the habitability was compromised and that the listed amenities were not provided. I didn't even get into the part where they advertised laundry as an amenity but withdrew it. (You can plainly see it as a listed amenity on the 2ndAddress reposting, for example.) This is a form of consumer fraud called bait-and-switch and is taken very seriously in this great state of California. It says a lot that Airbnb got me my money back in under 24 hours and is bending over backwards assisting me on this. Jan, don't reply. We have nothing to say to each other. No notice = crime. Taking my belongings = crime. Rifling through my belongings is unacceptable and possibly illegal. Taking their heater when the builtin one is broken is unacceptable and possibly illegal. Continuing to defend this would be reprehensible. Let's not escalate this any further than your client did.

  • This Sonder apartment is beautiful and clean, easy to access, and in a great location. There is a Safeway one block away and a beautiful series of running / biking paths along the water with a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. There's no doorman but the neighborhood feels extremely safe. I would absolutely stay here again if I find myself in town for a long period of time! It was a home away from home.

Visiting San Francisco and want to see the real side of the city? This one-bedroom apartment is located in the middle of the Marina district and is steps away from Fort Mason Park, Golden Gate views, North Beach, Ghirardelli Square, and Chestnut Street. New listing to Airbnb!
If you're in town for a conference, the apartment is located two blocks from Van Ness bus stops and is an easy pickup location for Uber & Lyft. If you're a tourist looking to explore SF, the location doesn't get better than this. And if you're looking for a peaceful escape to get away from it all, it's a perfect hideaway for a Jack London novel.
The Marina district is quintessential San Francisco.
  • We loved Natalie’s place. It’s close to golden gates. She is really responsive if I needed anything. During our stay the shower broke but Natalie demonstrated accountability and get it fixed as soon as she could.

  • Absolutely amazing! Natalie's place was perfectly located in Marina near Fort Mason - close enough to shops and attractions but still in a quiet residential area. Her place was large, modern, sparkling clean, and she was a great host. Thank you so much!

Private 1-bedroom in-law suite on the ground level of a grand 3-story home. Spectacular location within view of GG Bridge. Featuring its own entrance, front garden, back patio, working fireplace and parking. Tons of amenities. While connected by a staircase to the home's upper floors, no living areas are shared, allowing for your privacy. Paradise for walkers, runners or bikers. Walking distance to the city's most major attractions in addition to restaurants, a grocery store and shops.
Our well-appointed guest suite is similar in size to a luxury hotel suite, but the amenities make it feel like home. Features include a dedicated living room with home theater and surround sound, a working fireplace, a queen bedroom with en suite bath, a walk-in closet, and a kitchenette with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee & tea makers and a washer/dryer. Direct access to the front garden and the back patio furnished with comfy lounge sofas and a fire pit. The home is located just off Marina Boulevard, but the bedroom is on the back side of the house where the only sound you'll hear is that of birds chirping in the morning. Our primary living space is one or two floors up, and unless we make plans to meet you, our paths do not cross. You may hear us upstairs at meal times, but as empty-nesters ourselves, our home is generally peaceful. We travel a lot and understand what you need to feel comfortable and keep up the routines of home: We provide video streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, HBO Go) for you to watch movies or TV shows on the big screen. Or, if keeping in shape is your priority, we are happy to share our bikes with you and provide guidance on where to go.
Visitors gush about our location, and indeed, we're very lucky. The Marina sits at the northern edge of the city, bound by the beautiful San Francisco Bay. Vacationers love the views, walkability (score of 90!) and easy access to the Golden Gate Bridge, Ft. Mason, Crissy Field, the Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman's Wharf, the Presidio and the Embarcadero. We have lived on this street for 25 years. It was love at first sight due to its access to nature and extreme convenience: The water is across the street and there are parks in every direction! A Safeway grocery store is around the corner as are coffee shops, a post office, library and tennis courts. We rarely use our car as everything we need is within walking distance, but travelers with cars will appreciate that parking is relatively easy in our neighborhood. You'll love the variety of restaurants and shopping on nearby Chestnut and Union Streets.
  • What a great location & Erin was very inviting and hospitable. She respected our privacy and fulfilled our requests throughout our stay. The space was tidy, comfortable, and located in a safe neighborhood. Overall, we had a very satisfying stay.

    Luke2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic! Excellent location (walk about 150 feet and you can see Alcatraz, Golden Gate bridge, etc.) and great unit. Private entry, outdoor sitting area, big living room, everything was perfect for what we needed. Erin was very helpful throughout our stay and I'd definitely recommend her place to anyone looking to explore SF and wants a clean, safe, and beautifully located unit.

    Kristophor2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place is in an amazing location! We were able to walk to our favorite shops and restaurants and take in gorgeous sights in every direction, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Mason and Palace of Fine Arts. The neighborhood is so picturesque. The suite in Erin's home is comfortable and she was very accommodating.

    Sara2019-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at Erin and Howard's place, and we enjoyed it this time as much as the first. It's spotless, classy and well-decorated, super conveniently located. Love it!

  • Erin's place is as described and in a great location in the Marina--walkable to restaurants, pubs and shopping and easily accessible to the rest of SF! Her place is stylishly decorated and comfortable. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker and Erin thoughtfully left cereal, coffee, creamer and snacks as well as a bottle of wine. We enjoyed our stay!

  • An amazing spot with great hosts. A short walk to the GG Bridge or if you go the other way you are right into Fisherman's Wharf. You can't beat it! If you are a cyclist, this is definitely the spot for you!

    Matt2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Howard were great hosts. I was on crutches when we arrived and Erin kindly offered to help us with our bags and to get settled in. The place is close to many parks, restaurants, cafes, etc. so always something to do in walking distance. Erin has plenty of knowledge of the local landscape too and offered great recommendations for dinner, coffee, yoga...you name it! Thanks again for having us and hope to come back again!

    Jimmy2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was my first experience as a Airbnb guest, and it was absolutely perfect... Location is amazing (safe, near by the Bay to enjoy iconic running routes with Golden Gate bridge view , 10min away from the business district, walking distance from grocery market and restaurants...) but more than that, Erin and Howard are the best hosts ever, making sure I can really feel comfortable, with small details (snacks, beers...) and with really personnalized service (even a bike trainer because I shared that I was training for triathlon...) Better than a 5* hotel, they desearve a 6* review as the whole experience was awesome ...

  • If you have read the house rules and house manual, you might think that "oh - too many rules!" But those explanations are just to get you into the lovely space! Cathie is a delight, friendly, truly interested in what you have to say, and the flat - oh my! The gorgeous wood floors, the zen relaxation ... I wish we had had more time to spend just in the flat! (We were in town for a convention, so we were out early, back late, and asleep as soon as we could be in the wonderfully comfortable king bed.) While Chestnut is a hip, busy commercial street, this flat is a block away from the hustle and bustle of the night life, quiet inside, and yet a quick stroll to food, drink and shopping.

    Vicki2014-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cathie's flat location is perfect for morning exercise walks to the beach, shops, food/ drugstore, restaurants. Convenient to public transportation and easy access to everywhere with rare parking available. Very clean and spacious quiet bedrooms, nice kitchen, dinning rm, and office/ living rm to entertain. Only drawback is one bathroom. Cathie discuss her appointments/schedule of the Pilates class in her front parlor and i even took one educational Pilates session and it work well for me or anyone who is touring SF during the day and will not be napping during the afternoon. There is no TV cable but wifi available. I lock myself out of the apt in the laundry area with no keys, cell phone, or warm clothes at 10 pm and lucky for me that Cathie was home downstairs in her studio to open the door.... Very lucky break for me.

    Samuel2012-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cathie was extremely hospitable and organized. She emailed me a week prior (an email that I missed as I don't check my personal email as often has a I should). All instructions, details of the place, 'house rules' and expectations were spot on. We have a different perspective as my wife is from SF and I lived there for 20 years (alas, many friends and family have moved away). We chose Cathie's place for its location (and her fantastically robust and entertaining rebuttal of the one negative review she had. I loved reading it). There aren't a lot great places to stay in the Marina and her location is perfect walking distance to the Marina Green, the Chestnut Street shopping area, lower Russian Hill, even Pacific Heights (if you're up for a steep climb). Yes, you could walk to Fisherman's wharf, if you wanted to. As former a resident, I would urge one to not spend too much time there. Cathie's living room is filled with Pilates and exercise equipment (which we expected). My wife and stayed in the master bedroom and our 15 and 12 year olds each had their own futons.. They were both comfortable as were. But if you're looking for a place to lounge around, then you should look elsewhere (and ask yourself why are you're visiting SF?). The flat is simply a comfortable place to sleep and a home base. It's also a very good example San Francisco 40's architecture (that's may guess anyway). The flat was very reminiscent of one I lived in twenty years ago with virtually everything original, including the bathroom. The wood floors are beautiful and spotless. Each morning we left around 9 and were usually back around 8. My wife and I really appreciated the brilliant whole bean coffee right next tot the Krups grinder in the morning (the Seattle coffee thing has rubbed off on us more) as well as granola and yogurt. One other note...Cathie does have a garage but it is pretty tight. If you have a big SUV, then I would suggest parking on the street to avoid any bumps. By SF standards, the parking around there isn't bad. Just be careful of street cleaning signs. All in all, a good place to stay and a great value compared to two hotel rooms in a comparable neighborhood.

    Jesse2013-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cathie's house has everything you will need and more. She is always on hand to give a good tip in the exact moment you need. The neighborhood is so quiet and two blocks away start the "the movement ". Perfect to sleep and be connected. Beds are very comfy and pillows better than mines. Big bathroom with shower and bathtub (with all amenities you need). So, don't hesitate to live here when you come to San Francisco

    Patricia2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place at a very good location!

    Johan2018-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Well-located, spacious, charming and very clean. Bedrooms were ample with lovely views of the garden and since there isn't really a living room space we hung out around the dining table which is adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen. Nice experience.

    Janet2012-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cathie has a very lovely apartment. The location is excellent for being close to everything yet quiet at night. She even has a garage to park your car, it just barely accommodated our minivan (tight squeeze!). Cathie's apartment was perfect for 6 people and the extra sink came in handy for brushing teeth. She was kind enough to allow our dog to come as well! When we come back, we will definitely stay with Cathie, it was a wonderful experience.

    Jamie2013-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cathie was a wonderful host and greeted us warmly when we arrived. The apartment was exactly as described and was very clean, comfortable and a terrific location. Cathie had many great suggestions for places to eat and local attractions. A wonderful first airbnb experience.

Great shared living location, easy access to city, fun and easy going host. Clubs & cafes within walking distance. 3 blocks away form union st. 6 blocks from Polk Gulch dining and shops. Chestnut st. shops, restaurants, and clubs about 8 blocks away. This is a flat with shared living space, refrigerator is shared also. I do offer small private refrigerator for rooms but mostly not needed. Owner is updating the house-windows have been changed. Entry way still needs tile & outside needs paint.
There's a shared front room and kitchen. Room is private with a deadbolt lock. No one enters your room during your stay except you.
Can walk to marina district(union/chestnut st/Polk gulch) in 5-15 minutes or ride a bike to Golden Gate Bridge in 30 minutes-love it. Walk to fishermans wharf in 15 minutes for Trader Joe's, World Market, Safeway and much more. Full kitchen that is stocked with pots and pans and dishes as you need.
  • Rolando is a very friendly and hospitable person. Super easy to deal with, lightning quick to respond, and prepared to go the extra mile for you. The rooms are small, but big enough, with space to hang clothes. Kitchen is excellent, bed is ok, and working space requires some improvisation, but writing is nevertheless possible in the apartment. It is easy for me to recommend Rolando's place!

  • A great location to stay in SF! The flat is perfect for two persons, clean and you find everything you need for a short stay. Mark was very helpful with questions and there is a lot of visitors informations you can make use of. We can highly recomemend staying at the Marina Garden!

    Johanna2014-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Mark put with my badgering questions and was available whenever I need him. I would definitely stay here again. It is a beautiful place and close to a lot of fun places to hangout!

    Kao2014-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • There is a long narrow hallway leading to the space which was quite small but nice. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable. The area is central and felt safe. The only complaint is that we booked this based on the fact that there was parking provided and learned on the day of our arrival that it wasn't. The host reimbursed us for this which we thought was reasonable. Street parking was not too bad. We found free street parking within blocks.

    Tara2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, comfortable bed, acceptable basic accommodations.

    Halley2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a terrific time staying in Marks apartment. It was close to the Mariana so you could go jogging in the morning breeze and close to many og SF attractions. We had a single issue with the apartment which Mark elegantly solved within 24 hours(during weekend), very impressed. We would like to come back and would like to recommend this place!! Thanks Mark!

    Nicolai2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The location was very convenient. Really appreciated suggestions for places to see.

    Kimera2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my partner had a great time at this place, it's a great location, and a huge bonus to have a parking garage. There was lots of information on the local area in the listing itself, but in the apartment there is a box of maps and flyers which was helpful. The apartment is walking distance to fisherman's wharf and the marina area, and using ride sharing like UBER you're not going to spend more than $7 for a ride just about anywhere in town. The only downside was a very low pressure shower, but the upsides outweighed that one drawback. Thanks Mark!

    Scott2015-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's apartment is well equipped, clean, and extremely quiet. Don't let the big street out front fool you, you won't hear a thing once you're inside. The mattress is really comfortable and the sheets are very soft. The appliances work great and are all modern. The location is superbly convenient. Easy walking distance to some good restaurants, supermarket, stores, waterfront, and the usual San Francisco tourist attractions. We chose to rent a car for a day, and the rental car place was less than half an hour away on foot, the garage is a big perk. We had a great time, I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This classic marina apartment located in a prime location that is walking distance of the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Mason, Ghiradelli Square and Pier 39. Enjoy the neighborhoods of Union, Chestnut or Polk Street with its bustling restaurant and bar scene. Tons of yoga studios and cycle classes on these streets as well. Half a block away from multiple bus lines that can take you to the ball park, Golden Gate Bridge, downtown and more! **NOTE** Sorry but there is no on-site parking.
This 1920's era flat was remodeled and redecorated in 2015 and has updated amenities throughout. It is contemporary yet cozy at the same time. The apartment is great to stay while exploring San Francisco and to come back to after a long day.
The Marina is know for its beautiful views of the bay and Golden Gate bridge, its bar and restaurant scene and the fact you cannot walk more than 2 storefronts without seeing another yoga studio. The residential vibe gives it the feel of a city without being overwhelmed by it.

  • Megan’s flat is the perfect spot to call home while in San Fransico. The space is huge and is located right in the marina district which is walking distance from the beach and the piers. The pictures don’t do this place justice. We found our selves not wanting to leave and will definitely be back. This is a must stay!!

    Matt2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Megan's place is bigger and nicer than even what you see in the pictures! Very ideally located, beautiful plush beds and she even gave us an air mattress at no extra charge. Easily will be my place to stay when I come to San Francisco!

    Tahsin2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We would normally stay with Hyatt while traveling but this week San Francisco was host to an Oracle conference and as such made it very difficult to find a hotel. This forced my wife and I to look at alternative lodging. Boy are we glad we did! Megan was magnificent from the moment I submitted my reservation request!! The house was absolutely amazing! Very spacious and comfortable and in the best neighborhood. Megan was also extremely nice and very responsive! For someone that traditionally enjoys a luxury hotel, this option far exceeded my expectations! We would define stay with her again!!

  • Charmaine's place was beautiful! Perfect location to great restaurants, and sites. Could easily fit 4 guests if needed

    Jason2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very modern apartment in the heart of the Marina district. Easy access to public transportation to get throughout the city and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Owner warns that it is noisy, which is true, but not as bad as we expected. The couches lay down flat for additional bed space. Our teenage daughter was fine with a blanket under the sheets for added cushioning, but we would not have been happy sleeping on them. The mattress in the bedroom, however, was very comfortable. Charmaine very kindly let us store our luggage in the secure lobby of the building (free of charge) before check in and after checkout, which was a huge help. Overall, an excellent stay. We never met Charmaine in person, but she was very friendly and quick to respond during booking and to our questions along the way. Excellent communication. Highly recommend.

    Karen2018-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Charmaine's place is in a fantastic and vibrant area , surrounded by excellent restaurant options!! There was everything we needed at her place. Really big space. Very cool euro design. We really enjoyed. Thanks so much

    Paul2018-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to be in the SF action, this is a great location. As Charmaine mentions, and other reviews as well, it is city-loud. It's not so much the restaurant downstairs, but the trash trucks that come pick up, oh, around 3:30am. If you're okay with that, and expect this ahead of time, you'll still enjoy this apartment. You're in walking distance to shops, other restaurants, a bookstore, and easy drive to SF tourist spots. Charmaine had great communication, good directions to access the apartment. Looks like the photos-modern finishes, simple, yet well decorated. The one not-so-good thing was that we found clear evidence throughout the apartment that it had not been cleaned properly prior to our arrival. Maybe this was an oversight, because other recent reviews don't mention this. I let her know the details of the things we saw/noticed, so hopefully that will get addressed. Overall, it was a good place to stay!

  • I moved to San Francisco from Israel and Alexandra's place was a soft landing in San Francisco - nice and quite neighborhood, close to transportation, close to many restaurants, grocery store and coffee shops, everything within a very short walking distance. Alexandra's apartment was great and equipped with everything - a big room with bed, sofa, TV, Internet, and a lot of space around. The kitchen was very helpful too and of course the washer and dryer are helpful if you plan to stay for long time. I didn't had a chance to enjoy the garden (to relax with a coffee outside) but I did walked out few times and the garden is beautiful and inviting. Alexandra is a great host, she was very helpful with all the details and preparations before I arrived and provide me all the information I needed after I arrived.

    Morad2012-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Alexandra's. The garden was beautiful and frequently visited by hummingbirds. The garden is a perfect place to hide away from the wind and enjoy the sun. Alexandra was very kind and responsive to any small needs we had.

    Jef2013-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying in Alexandra's place. It was very home-like, thanks in large part to the garden in the back!

  • alexandra's place is a gem. central location, very nicely designed and it feels like home. the garden is just fantastic to sit down and enjoy the outdoors and the kitchen is fully equipped. alexandra is hospitable and accommodating. i whole heartedly recommend this studio and will definitely visit again in the near future.

  • Great studio! I am a business traveler on an assignment in SF from NYC. I am from SF originally so knew what I was looking for. The place was clean, convenient to Chestnut street bars/ restaurants, walking distance to Union street and Fillmore. Alexandra was a great host. The garden was my favorite part about the apt.. Was nice to sit out on sunny days. Would def recommend to others.

    Amber2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandra was very welcoming and helpful. The garden studio was charming and as previous reviewers have commented the garden is an attractive feature. The location suited me perfectly as I could walk to the bus stop and also to where my daughter lived, supermarket is close by and of course the Marina. For anyone looking for somewhere private, secure and in a good location this is perfect.

  • An amazingly clean house in one of the best locations in the city! The room was so bright and comfy that is so exceeded my expectations of what I could find in a big city like SF! The 2 block walk to Hyde street pier made it so worth the cost of the place! And Teo is so cheerful all the time and ready to help you whenever you need something (he took me to a doc when I fell sick too).

  • Teo is a San Francisco native, who's lived in the area for over 20 years. he's very hospitable hard-working and knows all the best places to go for food fun entertainment. his location is near the marina and North Beach and all the must-see spots for your vacation or stay. we used his location for a 30-day sublet when we moved to San Francisco from out of state. It was very comfortable it was connected to a lot of what was happening in the north peninsula and near mass transit and it within walking distance to a lot of places including restaurants, grocery stores and plenty of green spaces and the waterfront. Give it a try!

The apartment is in a really nice part of the city very close to the waterfront. We would definitely recommend staying here, we had a great time.

  • Amazing apartment in a wonderful location. Quiet, safe area with lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. Apartment very clean (and I'm fussy!), absolutely beautiful inside. Lots of instructions and maps which were so helpful. Laura has really thought of everything for her guests. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again.

    Amanda2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Thought the location was great and enjoyed our stay. Quick walk to the waterfront and chose to walk along the waterfront to the Golden Gate Bridge (about 2.5 miles). Chestnut Street is close and has many restaurants to choose from. We did not realize the bedroom was a Studio setup (yet Studio is mentioned in the reviews). We initially planned to host a couple business guests, but the setup did not allow for it. The patio was nice and propane heater helped with the unseasonable weather. Our flight in was delayed and our host was easy to contact and was there to let us in when we arrived.

  • This is such a wonderful spot- a great jumping off point for hikes and adventures. Very lovely place that makes for a memorable vacation. And host Laura could not have been more helpful.

    Sam2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was a gracious host! She provided so much assistance prior to our arrival and during our stay. She was available via phone or text when needed. Laura was able to provide great recommendations for restaurants, places to see, etc. The unit is gorgeous and the back patio is a great spot to start your day. The unit is no more than 100 yards from the marina green with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Our stay could not have been better and we owe much of that to Laura, highly recommend!

  • The apartment was lovely, quiet, private and very comfortable. I appreciated the stocked paper goods, soaps, etc. Parking was easy. Host very helpful and easy to contact. Thank you, Laura!

  • The apartment was perfect and exactly as described. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay here again. Melise was flexible, available when needed and did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable. A great experience.

  • I first stayed at this apartment in October because I was in San Francisco for a freelance work assignment. I could not have chosen a better neighborhood. The apartment is well-located, peaceful, and accessible to great restaurants and public transportation. Fort Mason Park is a short walk to majestic views and hikes. The apartment itself is immaculate and comfortable, and the host, Melise is conscientious, and hospitable. This apartment is exceptional in every way. Perfect for a short stay or extended visit. I can't wait to return. (Did I mention the excellent washer and dryer?)

    Scot2015-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Close to parks to run and exercise, close to great restaurants and shops. Perfect location to live by yourself or with family. Loved the place.

    Scott2017-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great work opportunity to work for a month in San Francisco, and I thought it would be so much nicer to stay in a real neighborhood instead of a hotel. This apartment was beyond spectacular. Melise the host, could not have been more helpful. She is conscientious, hospitable, and the apartment is not only extremely clean, it is also comfortable. Everything in the kitchen (including all tools and utensils) is brand-new, and well taken care of; The super-sized bathroom is luxurious, with a deep-soaking tub, and it is also all new. The apartment is has so many windows, so it is bright and cheerful, and well-situated to Fort Mason Park, a 5-minute walk to all bus lines, and excellent shopping and dining on Chestnut Street and Filmore (and there is laundry downstairs!) . The apartment is also exceptionally quiet, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful Melise is. I think she is a ten-star host, (I know the limit is 5, but she gets a double) and don't know if I will ever find a place as comfortable and restful. I look forward to returning again, and again!

    Scot2014-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a place to stay! Location was perfect as shops, running trails, sights and city all easy accessible from the apartment. The apartment is modern and well appointed and Melise is a gracious host. Highly recommend.

  • The apartment is always immaculate, and extremely comfortable

    Scot2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Melise is absolutely the most conscientious and flexible host imaginable. The apartment is literally my home away from home. I always feel welcome, and taken care of. The apartment is quiet and has lovely views of the bay, and is ideally located near many bus lines, and great restaurants and shops. Stay here and feel like a real San Franciscan! I believe Melise deserves an Oscar for Best Airbnb Host Ever!

    Scot2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Melise's apartment. The apartment is in great condition, exactly as advertised. Check-in was smooth and easy; not to mention it included a very thoughtful welcome package! Melise is very kind and was always available to help answer any questions I had. The apartment's location was perfect, walking distance to anywhere in the Marina and Cow Hollow while just a few blocks from the park and a great grocery store. I will happily stay here again!

Spacious and Cozy studio with large private backyard. Perfect location in the heart of the Marina Less than a bloc from Chestnut St
  • This unit was perfect for what we needed! We were surprised at how spacious the studio felt, especially with the back patio. We also really loved the neighborhood, there were plenty of parks around, lots to do on Chestnut St. and Safeway was in close walking distance. We definitely recommend staying at Alice’s place!

    Mylissa2019-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alice was a wonderful host. Her place is great and in a super convenient location. I stayed here for a month and couldn’t be happier with the situation. Alice was very responsive and answered any question I had in a very timely manner.

    Roy2018-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alice is very responsive, location is great, it's the most quiet place in SF I've ever lived despite it's 2 minutes walking distance from Chestnut street cafes, bars and entertainments.

    Artiom2018-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great, the unit is very well located, roomy, quiet and clean. Alice was also very responsive and answered promptly any questions. Check in and out was also very straightforward and simple. One thing to note is that the unit is on the ground floor, at the back of the building and does not have access to the back garden so you can feel a bit restricted. This is not a big deal if you are just looking for a very well located place to sleep with a lot of options for shopping and entertainment around.

Beautiful sun filled room. A desk for working, a chest of drawers, a closet with his/her bathrobes. Beautiful new bathroom that belongs to the guest. No shared bathroom.
Killer location! Walker's Paradise score of 97, EASY walking distance to great shopping, restaurants and cafes, organic grocery store, parks, movie theaters, the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiridelli Square, Lombard street and public transportation. Fully furnished bedroom, private bath, full private closet, desk, wireless internet, washer/dryer in unit, high ceilings, working fireplace, lots of light. The neighborhood is vibrant and alive. Unbelievably delicious places to eat one block from the apartment but far enough away from the 'scene' that it is quiet and relaxing. MUNI buses are one block from your room to anywhere in the city. There are fun places near by and practical ones too - you can get a quick blow dry, buy wine, get a facial, inexpensive jewelry (expensive too if you want!) or just sit in a beautiful cafe bar and eat $1 fresh oysters at happy hour while planning your evening. The reviews say it all really. Read them and feel free to email me any questions or special requests. Most of all, enjoy this beautiful city by the bay. Please note that this room is available only for stays over 30 days.
The best thing about this neighborhood is - everything. You could have a fantastic three days and never get in a car. Of course you wouldn't do that because the rest of the city is so special....but if you just wanted a place to stay for awhile where literally everything you could want you could walk to, this is the place. Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy field, Fisherman's wharf, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason, shopping, eating, drinking.
  • Regina is a very friendly, open, and generous host. She takes very good care of her guests and tries to help in any way to make your trip easier - down to sharing brownies. She also has a nice apartment and offers a great, comfortable room with large bed, desk and chair, all in a nice location with shops and cafés in walking distance. If you get a chance, I highly recommend staying here.

    Gunnar2011-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was an incredible hostess that I cannot recommend highly enough. I felt at home within minutes, especially thanks to her warm personality and the homemade brownies! Reggie went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and that I enjoyed my short stay in San Francisco. Since I was at a conference nearby, Reggie kindly helped run errands around town, hosted a delicious dinner at home with friends she wanted me to meet, and consistently made sure I had everything I needed. Also - the room is well kept, clean, and very comfortable. Lots of sun, great location. I wish I had more time in SF! ...and above all, she got back to me within minutes, especially helpful since I was stranded at the airport!

    Gaurav2011-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Regina's place! I felt like home there, and Regina was a very welcoming host. Kitchen and living room are very nice, and I especially enjoyed the cozy fireplace. The location is the best in my opinion, pretty quiet area but close to Union and Chestnut streets where all the bars and restaurants are. I would totally recommend staying at Regina's place.

    Alexandra2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was a bit skeptical at staying at a strangers house and being as this was my first time I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect. After meeting reggie all my doubts were gone. She is the epitomy of a genuine host! So outgoing, caring, and is dedicated to making you feel welcome and at ease. If you are staying in SF don't stay anywhere else but this safe, quiet and clean Cow Hollow B&B.

    Aliesha2011-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Reggie was so easy to communicate with and could not have been a more pleasant hostess throughout the booking process. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my stay, checking in on me and even allowing me to extend my stay an extra night at the last minute. Her home is straight out of an HGTV show (newly remodeled!) and the location is hands-down the most convenient one I have stayed at while in SF!

    Carrie2013-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was a wonderful host. I relocated to the city and needed somewhere to stay while I searched for permanent housing. She was knowledgeable and helped me out in any way she could. I would highly recommend staying with Regina, especially if you're looking for somewhere that feels a little like home!

  • My stay at Reggie's was absolutely delightful. She made me feel welcome and comfortable instantly, and went out of her way to orient me in the neighborhood. Her home is elegantly decorated in a way that feels very calming and inviting. We had a wonderful conversation about life as well one evening, not an experience you would have in a hotel at any price. I would highly recommend Reggie's and plan to return soon.

  • What can be said? Rose’s place is outstanding. Every major factor one consider’s when renting a place is fulfilled in Rose’s place. To begin with, the location is conveniently located (walking distance) to so much: Fisherman’s wharf, Chestnut street, Safeway, multiple parks, the marina, bike path to the Golden Gate Bridge, and I could go on. The view is spectacular, the place is cozy and clean, and check in is a breeze. I can’t say enough about how awesome this place is. We spent three weeks there so we were really able to take advantage of this great condo. I think it would be hard to find a better place to stay in San Francisco.

Spend a lovely time in a 2 bedroom condo with your own private garden deck & roofdeck with views of the city and Golden Gate Bridge! You cannot beat this location.
This beautiful condo is located in the prime marina district area, walking distance to Union Street, Fisherman's Warf and the Marina. There are 3 neighborhoods within walking distance with tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. Not to mention a 3 block walk up to the top of the famous Lombard street crooked street. The condo was built 10 years ago so all rooms and equipment are state of the art. Its 500 square foot deck (that walks out from both bedrooms) makes this place a rarity in San Francisco. The roof deck has 360 degree views of the city. Enjoy the outside air by dining, barbequing, or just relaxing in this wonderful garden space. The kitchen includes all the main necessities (dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, toaster) etc as well as cooking and baking equipment to appeal to your culinary side. There's even a piano for those musically inclined. There is also a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom a pull out double-bed. Guests have loved it! This unit comfortably sleeps 4. Parking may be available, but not guaranteed. Please inquire. In addition, there are all the usual amenities: wireless, Cable TV, 2 flat screen TVs (in 2nd bedroom and dining area) and also Sonos speakers so that you can play your own music! Personal space: This is my private home so please tell me a bit about yourself as well as the guests that would be with you. I like to learn as much as possible about my guests before accepting any reservation. I clear out as much as guests need for an approx one week stay but please note that many of my belongings will still be in my home.
It is an ideal location for visitors. Walking distance from Fisherman's Warf, North Beach, the Marina District, Chrissy Field and the San Francisco Bay. It is only 4 blocks from the Bay, 3 blocks from Fort Mason and 2 blocks from the famous cable car and Lombard crooked street. The Marina district is renown in San Francisco for its abundance of cute bistros and restaurants, fun wine bars and pubs, and plenty of boutique shopping along both Chestnut and Union Streets. Only blocks away is the St. Francis Yacht Club, Marina Green, Crissy Field and beaches, and the popular walking/running trail that leads to the Golden Gate Bridge. The views in the area of phenomenal and location cannot be beat. Public transportation is easily accessible to most places in the city.
  • I had a great stay in Heidi's apartment. That is where I will be staying again next time I'm in S.F. Great apartment, with an awesome rooftop where you could barbeque at. Also the area is full with local cafes and restaurants and shops. Everything was at your doorstep. I highly recommend this apartment.

  • Nice appartement in the middle of San Francisco. It made a great base point for seeing the city, though some effort had to be made finding parking spots. We loved watching the 4th of July fireworks from the rooftop terrace. Communications with Heidi was clear and easy, though we did not meet her in person.

  • I did not have the opportunity to meet Heidi as we made other arrangements. She was always very quick to respond to any questions I had regarding the condo. The condo gave us plenty of room for a party of four. The deck was lovely but the weather did not allow us much time to enjoy it.

  • A great apartment! Clean, a ton of space and an outstanding deck!! Heidi communicates frequently and is always trying to help!! Highly recommend!!

  • We've rented Heidi's wonderful apartment for our mothers, who came to town to visit us. They were absolutely thrilled with their temporary new home, it's central location and beautiful neighbourhood. Heidi is extremly nice person and i was very glad i had a chance to meet her (even for a short while). The apartment is kept very clean, and one of its most amazing features is the deck with plants and flowers - what a view :)!!! The whole transaction was very smooth and effortless. I highly recommend Heidi and her apartment, and hope we'll have a chance to rent from her again.

  • Great place and a great location. Unfortunately the San Francisco weather did not allow us to enjoy the terrace but apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. Thanks Heidi!

  • Melise was very friendly and her house was very clean. We found everything the way it looked in the pictures and besides sheets and towels were smelling very fresh. The location of the apartment is close to Marina and Union street restaurants. Melise left multiple coffee and tea pods for the coffee machine, some beverages and snacks for us in the kitchen. It was raining so we couldn't use the bicycles but there are quite nice areas around to cycle to. Overall, this place is ideal for a couple visiting San Francisco for tourism or for business.

  • We moved to SF from the UK and spent the first month at Melise’s great apartment. From beginning to end Melise was really responsive and went out of her way to accommodate everything we needed (including after our reservation was over!) There were lots of nice touches to make us feel at home. The apartment has lots of light and is very well located for the water, parks, groceries and short walk to Union and Chestnut streets. The apartment is well appointed throughout with updated kitchen and bath and very comfortable for a long-term stay. We would have stayed longer if we could!

    Duncan2018-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Melise’s place is perfect. The location can’t be beat in SF, and the apartment is stocked with everything you could ever ask for. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, and can’t recommend it highly enough! Thank you for a great stay

  • Amazing place in an amazing location! Melise was a great host - available and welcoming.

    Alex2014-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb stay and it went fairly well. Great location and beautiful place to stay. Easily walkable to Ghirardelli Square, Fort Mason, Safeway, Palace of Fine Arts. Melise was a good host and welcomed us upon arrival and departure. My only suggestion for next time is to establish a time to arrive and depart before hand to avoid rushing. My reservation was set until the day before I had to leave and as a result I felt rushed of my reservation. I would have preferred to stay bit later but she had already committed to other appointments.

    Alex2014-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed every aspect of my one month stay in this charming and sunny place. Comfortable, fully equiped, no detail has been left aside. Melise is a very meticulous and attentionate person. Very easy to communicate with. My flights were delayed and I was late at the arrival. Melise even garnished the refrigerator with some basics so I didn't have to go out at night for diner or grocery shopping. I will consider staying there again for my next trip. Ideal location and easy access.

    Alexandre2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Melise's apartment is fabulous!!!! The location is right in the Marina, very close to Chestnut shopping and a grocery store - super convenient. The apartment itself is exactly as pictured. Very clean, very spacious, very beautiful place to stay. Melise is lovely. She greeted me and left treats in the apartment. She was so quick to respond and easy to work with. I travel to SF a lot for work and never want to stay in a hotel again - I'll always stay at her apartment!

  • Melise is exceptionally hospitable, and the neighborhood is quiet, convenient, and comfortable

    Scot2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Melise has a great place, in the perfect SF location! The flat is literally walking distance to everything you could need- stores, restaurants, grocery stores, parks, bus lines, Pier 39 (1 mile). My family and I stayed for 6 weeks and would have loved to stay longer! Melise is very hospitable and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. At one point, we had some issues with the internet and she made it a point to come by and wait for the cable guy and deal with them directly. She was great and kept in regular communication with us during our stay. The home is very well set up with two good size bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and the master also has an office, which was so helpful for us! She also just redesigned the side yard so there is also some outdoor space there as well. Overall, it was an amazing visit!

    Kim2016-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent apartment and location. Garage, laundry, fantastic kitchen. Perfect separation between bedrooms and living area. Quiet neighborhood but only a short walk to everything! Bridge and bay views were enjoyed daily...we stayed 10+ weeks.

    Richard2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful host, beautiful apartment in the most gorgeous location in San Francisco - cannot recommend Melise's stunning flat any more highly, just a fabulous experience for the last 2 months!

    Jonathan2015-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We honestly could not recommend this location more. Melise is an excellent host, who worked with us on an unforeseen schedule change and impressed us so much that we rented from her again after the initial reservation. The 2bdr apartment is stunning, and has more space than most entire homes in the city. The location in the marina is ideal as it is a quick 5 min walk to the restaurants on Chestnut, but far enough away that you do not get any of the noise from the nightlife. Included parking in the garage is a rare find. Overall was one of our best experiences on Airbnb, and would recommend Melise's properties to anyone!
