Our beautiful, minimalist Tiny House is a comfortable home base for tourists and business travelers. For leisure you are minutes from Lady Bird Lake and in the heart of the East Side entertainment. The Tiny House is also connected to 1GB WiFi. We look forward to hosting you in the heart of East Austin, just 1.5 miles from the convention center, and 10 minutes from the airport. We are kid friendly (pac n play, toys, high chair available), and accept dogs for an additional one-time fee of $25.
The Kanga Tiny House comfortably sleeps two people, sharing a queen bed. If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. In cases of Instant Books, we'll submit a request for pet fee payment through the Airbnb system. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them. The Kanga Tiny House is roughly 200 square feet, and features: - AT&T GigaPower Internet (through Airport Extreme) - We do not have a TV but you can certainly stream your favorite shows with your own streaming services account (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon). - USB Charger for your devices - Wireless Charging Pad from Ikea (your device must be wireless enabled) We keep the place well stocked with all of the basics, as well as extra towels and blankets. We are: - 15 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, - 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center, - Approx. $6 or $7 Uber/Lyft ride from downtown, - 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk, - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam). If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, fantastic breakfast tacos for only $2 a piece - La Barbecue on E Cesar Chavez (we recommend preordering, at least 5 days in advance, to save yourself a couple of hours in a long line for the best brisket in town). - Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, 1.5 blocks away, fantastic Texas & Japanese fusion food - Juniper, 1 block away, a small plates restaurant with great cocktails - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. There are many more options for dining and services. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House.
The East Side is a wonderful, artsy, quirky place. It's still a little rough around the edges, as is the case in any gentrifying neighborhood. We always feel perfectly safe, and our street is well lit and comfortably "busy", while still being completely residential. We've never had issues with street parking.
  • The kanga was the perfect place for our five days in austin! It was located in the heart of the east side and was walking distance to tons of funky eclectic places and great food! The kanga was clean, private, completely stocked with cooking utensils, comfortable, and everything we had hoped for and more. We definitely we will be staying there again and recommend it to anyone going to austin!

    Eugene2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I felt very welcome. The Kanga was a cute, clean tiny home. I didn't like parking down the street . I would only suggest they put in wifi and a television. The neighborhood was eclectic but near a lot of restaurants and bars that are great.

  • Anna and Chad's Tiny House was exactly as described and pictured here. When we arrived, there were two beers in the fridge waiting for us. The kitchen was well stocked with snacks, coffee, and breakfast fare. The heater came in handy when the temperature dropped, too. The space was everything we needed. Just enough to be a great home base as we bounced around Austin. We were really happy with the location too. The house is just a couple blocks from a food truck park, great brunch places, and some cool art galleries. It's also an easy walk to La Barbecue, the best BBQ we had all weekend! We used the city bike share just a block away to see a good chunk of the city on our first day. Chad and Anna were always friendly and helpful, and we felt very well taken care of. Overall, this was a great stay.

    Kate2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Chad and Anna were wonderfully hospitable. Chad greeted us when we arrived and suggested a few local places to check out while we were in town (all of them were great – especially Launderette!). The Tiny House itself was great as well – perfect for a weekend getaway for two. Looking forward to returning to Austin... and staying in the Tiny House again!

    Josh2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay. You have everything you need in a tiny home. Loved it!

    Ed2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house and dog friendly is always a plus. Blue Owl Brewery is a 4 min walk away. Anna and Chad had good communication and the house was adorable, clean and stylish.

Lofted craftsman cottage in the heart of central east Austin. Located less than a mile from UT and 1.5 miles to downtown. The cottage has an open and comfortable vibe with natural light against the custom woodwork and vaulted pine ceilings.
Completely renovated, open and modern cottage with loft in central east, atx. The cottage has been restored over the past couple of years and is essentially a new house on the inside. The interior has a vaulted tongue and groove pine ceiling with a loft, hardwood floors, tiled bathroom, and relaxed open atmosphere. Cottage is centrally located less than a mile from ut and the state capitol and 1.5 miles from downtown. The MLK commuter rail train station is directly across the street from the house and is one stop from downtown. Bennu (the local 24 hour coffee shop) is a couple of blocks away, as are restaurants, bars, etc. on Manor road (within walking distance). Check out my guide for restaurants and such in the area. The house has central ac/heat, high speed wireless internet, cable tv, washer/dryer, tankless water heater, full kitchen, w/ coffee maker/coffee etc. Super comfy queen size bed with 400 thread count linens, lots of comfortable pillows, and fresh towels in the bathroom. The house has a ton of windows and can be bright and sunny with the blinds open letting in the natural light, or cozy and dark with the blinds closed and lights dimmed against the interior woodwork. The cottage is furnished with a mix of mid century and custom pieces. The loft has a sofa that converts to a full size bed and can accommodate 2 extra people. There is also a unique outdoor seating area with vintage wrought iron furniture that's been re-done with comfortable cushions. Is a nice hang out space for relaxing and enjoying coffee or drinks with friends. The area also includes a grill for whatever you'd like to cook up. Is difficult to portray the comfortable vibe of the house in the pictures. I'm the iphone photographer so pics are a bit rudimentary and hardly do the house justice. I also live on the property in the adjacent back cottage. I'm a native Texan and long-time Austinite that can give you insight and recommendations about the city according to what you're seeking, but am just as happy to not cross paths as the cottage is pretty autonomous. The house is super convenient to all things in central Austin and is a great place to relax and recharge during your stay. A bit of history from the Austin Historical Commission about the cottage - "these cottages were built by the Calcasieu Lumber Company of Austin as small dwellings in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s and (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s. Founded in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, Calcasieu Lumber Company was Austin's first lumber yard. The company had standardized plans, and provided all the materials, even the crews for the construction of these houses on an owner’s site. The Calcasieu cottages are unique to Austin, and have a signature Romantic Tudor Revival style, with steeply pitched hipped roofs – many residents have long referred to them as “fairy tale cottages” because of their soaring rooflines. Calcasieu manufactured these cottages through the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, but stopped with this romantic Tudor Revival style prior to World War II. The Calcasieu Lumber Company was an Austin institution, and their cottages represent a uniquely Austin manifestation of an architectural style that is found nowhere else in the country. Maintaining them in Austin is extremely important." This property is in compliance with the City of Austin's Short Term Rental ordinances. Lic# (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) OL
The most eclectic, interesting neighborhood in the city. Walk, bike, or take a cab downtown. Houndstooth is 1/2 block away for the best coffee in town. The rail station is across the street and downtown is one stop away. Skylark lounge is a must.
  • Great place again, my 2nd time around!

    Emma2016-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was very friendly and accomadating. He worked with me for a quick late night check in, to extending the stay. The place is perfect closet o downtown and very quiet. I would def. stay again

    manjusha2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazingly cozy space with great design. Brad was accessible for communication and tips, and make the check-in process very easy.

    Tiffany2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brad's place was really fantastic, and we would definitely return again. Instructions to get in were easy, and we had no problems finding it. Location was convenient to everything we needed to get to but was quiet enough to relax at night. There was music playing quietly when we arrived, the place was very clean, and the bathroom was stocked with some extra supplies in case we needed them. We absolutely loved everything about it.

    Chris2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great and cute house in a very good location close to downtown, airport etc. Brad supported our stay perfectly, kitchen, bathroom, everything was very nice organized incl. available shampoo, soap, kitchen staff. Brad was available 24/7 and all instructions were very helpful. Thanks!

    Axel2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This home was beautifully designed, decorated and maintained. Everything was lovely and Brad and Nicole took care of all the small extra details like having nice towels and bath products, tea and coffee, granola bars and some items in the refrigerator. The kitchen was small but fully equipped. The neighborhood was residential and very quiet despite being off a main street. There is a large construction project across the street but we did not find it disruptive at all.

    Jeanne2016-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a cozy stay! We enjoyed everything about the cottage. The bed is great - and that is important! The furniture is nice and the details are all taken care of for you. My wife and I spent a week here and would definitely book again! Brad was very helpful in every way even though our path's never crossed! We had our car and that is important for this area - it is a bit of a hike to walk to many places. But we really enjoyed this visit and recommend staying here.

    Charles2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. It has ton of character and is a short drive to downtown. We very comfortably fit a party of 3. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Check-in was a breeze and Brad was very responsive!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Loved the hideaway! So tastefully done and so quiet and peaceful! Such a great location too! We will definitely stay here again!! Bill was an awesome host! So friendly and helpful and love that he is a "foodie". Gave us some fabulous restaurant tips!

    Jane2016-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • The house was amazing and Bill was kind enough to leave us with coffee and beer. The rooms were well done and all the linens were really clean. Even thou we didnt use the pool, it was beautiful. I would definitely recommend the house to anyone

    Vineet2015-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay! Extremely charming and private. The bed was incredible and dressed in wonderful linens. Perfect size for me and my daughter. Nice extra touches (toothbrushes, tooth paste, shower caps, lotion, beer, specialty coffees). Location is perfect if you need or want to be downtown. I booked last minute and Bill was exceptional in responding and taking care of me. A definite must if staying in Austin.

    Michelle2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Hideaway is an architectural masterpiece! Bill is cool dude, great location!! I'll definitely be back.

    Johnny2015-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time at The Hideaway. The place is even better in person. The location is amazing, near so many great shops and restaurants. Everything else was just a 10 minute drive away. It's clear that Bill takes good care of this place and wants to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The pool is beautiful and relaxing, bed is super comfortable...lovely all around. Definitely would recommend it.

    Sophia2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Hideaway was super nice. The space itself is really luxurious and tastefully appointed. The location is terrific--just a couple blocks from all the action on SoCo. We never met Bill, but it's easy to see that he's put a lot of thought into making the Hideaway a terrific spot. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

    Tina (And Axel)2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous and comfortable place to park it in Austin! High end everything....beds, linens and all the stuff that really counts. Even extras in the bath that you may have forgotten. Like a 5 star hotel but way more private. TV in each bedroom and BIG TV in living room. Lots of personal touches, cool artwork and your OWN private pool. We loved the neighborhood and particularly the easy walk to So. Congress with all the shops/restos etc. Bill is super responsive if you need anything but otherwise leaves you alone if you seek privacy. Perfect host. We'd stay here again in a New York minute.

    Kim2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was exactly as you see it in the pictures. It was the perfect space for our group and we could not have been happier! We thought we wanted to do all sorts of activities in Austin, but we ended up just lounging outside and enjoying the awesome pool!

    Hayley2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice time staying at Jason's. The location was great and the space vas comfortable. The balcony was really spacious considering the location of the unit. The pictures were accurate. Overall, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend. We would also stay there again for a future visit.

    Dorie2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in this apartment is like being inside a beautiful snowglobe placed in the center of Austin with views of downtown and the surrounding area. It's also comfortable, with every amenity you can imagine. The apartments gets a little too bright in the late afternoon/early evening, so we draped a scarf over the window. Overall, it was delightful.

    Katie2012-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was awesome. Great spot for vacation in Austin. In addition, Jason was prompt in answering our questions and facilitating the entire process. I would definitely stay there again on another visit.

    Jerry2013-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was a great host. He was able to accommodate a very late check-in, and he even followed up with me during my stay to see if I needed anything. The loft was stunning - even better than the photos. It was very clean and well decorated, and there was plenty of nightlife within walking distance. I would highly recommend booking Jason's loft when you are visiting Austin.

    Brad2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient, central location. Great restaurants, cafes, bars, and a small grocery store within walking distance. It was also very convenient to have 2 parking spaces, especially in a gated lot. The condo has an industrial feel, and a great view of the Austin skyline. Jason was very helpful, and provided a thorough document full of recommendations. Would definitely stay there again!

    Alexa2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was well located, very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay in Austin. Jason was a great host and responded immediately to any questions we had both before we arrived and while we were there. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and would also go back again when and if we travel to Austin.

    Christine2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location. Perfect for two people. Loved the swing and outdoor area .

    Bridget2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay in Austin! Jason's Eastside Cabana is perfectly located for exploring the city and is just a short walk from cool coffee shops (Bennu), restaurants, and a great little market (The Wet Whistle), where one can find all sorts of tasty beers and local treats. The Cabana is also a lovely spot to just relax and enjoy an afternoon reading in the calm of the back yard. Definitely stay here on your next trip to Austin.

    Alex2014-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Short drive to all the bars and downtown. Place is awesome. Clean. And exactly as advertised. Jason was very nice and offered advice on what to do in Austin. Things I would say to improve is the privacy could be improved with darker shades, and the wifi strength was weak. Otherwise. Great stay! Would do it again!

    Tony2014-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a fantastic base for visiting Austin! The Cabana itself is beautifully furnished, clean and well laid out. The kitchen with its huge glass window door is a fantastic space that was so nice to hang out in. The Eastside location is perfect as it gives easy access to downtown while also offering so many wonderful places to eat and drink right on your doorstep. The whole neighbourhood is both cool and quirky and I so enjoyed walking everywhere. I am only sorry I only had such a short stay and will certainly return for longer next time!

    Justin2016-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in, great location, clean and modern kitchen. The backdoor/window was really unique. Jason was easily reached for any questions. Found the in wall air conditioner to be noisier than I like but it did effectively cool the space while I was there.

    Julie2015-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay during SXSW music -- comfortable, clean, and very quiet, perfect after a long day in the crowds. Jason was super helpful and responsive. Walkable (~20 mins) from 6th street, with easy access to bus and car2go. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Cindy was incredible. I can't recommend this place enough! The view was even prettier than pictures and she went above and beyond for us during our stay. The bed was so comfortable, all her toiletries were so nice, she had snacks, water and anything you could ever need in our room! She also gave us great recommendations on things to do in the area, even gave us a blanket for our picnic we had at a local lake! She's awesome and her house is one of the nicest I've ever stayed in!!! PLEASE GO!!! It's amazing. Plus her doggies are so so cute!

    Lauren2017-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely breathtaking home! Words fail in my ability to articulate just how beautiful this home is. The location is a convenient 15 minutes from downtown Austin, but the privacy and the music sounds of nature creates a romantic and serene utopia. Cindy was very hospitable and made us feel right at home. The amount of detail she put into making our stay enjoyable was both appreciated and awe-inspiring. We can’t wait to come back!

  • Amazing place to stay! Definitely worth it.

    Hunter2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stop your search right now and book. this. property. You will not regret it. Spectacular design, open, sunlit spaces and clean, spacious bedrooms made this my best Airbnb experience to date. At just ~20-25 mins from downtown ATX, it was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. Cindy and David (and their two frenchies) were remarkably accommodating. If ever I'm lucky enough to return to Austin, I know where I'll be staying!

    Alec2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolutely incredible oasis perfectly located in Austin, Texas! I don't even know where to begin when describing our stay. We climbed up the windy hills into the trees of Austin, and when we arrived we were greeted by 3 little pups alongside Cindy and her husband. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our new home for the weekend! When she opened the door, it took my breath away. We were staring out into the hills with floor to ceiling windows. The room had a door to the outside deck which ran the entire length of the home! The bed was soft and comfortable, and there were great touches like soft rugs under our feet and the scent of essential oils throughout the home! The entire atmosphere of the space was calm and zen. Each morning we enjoyed our cup of coffee on the deck. We were secluded in the hills, but less than 20 minutes from any spot we needed to get. I have to admit, however, that several times we went out for breakfast and grabbed to-go food to heat up later so we wouldn't need to leave the house! This is the first time we ever stayed at an airbnb and spent more time in the actual home than exploring the city. If you are looking for a getaway that will submerge you in a serene environment and inspire you, then you cannot book a stay here soon enough. I promise you won't regret it!

  • Spectacular place in a beautiful part of Austin. This is what Airbnb is all about. Communication was perfect, bed is super comfortable, and a great place to come back to after a long work day. Will definitely stay here again.

    Ramiro2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost, I must say that this place certainly exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood and house are both very quiet and the PERFECT place to go and clear your mind for a few days. Cindy was awesome. She was very hospitable, flexible and we never had an issue getting in contact with her if we needed something. From the views to the amazing decor to the snacks and beverages provided upon arrival, this place was A1! I definitely recommend it.

Our cozy cottage located in our backyard garden is your own private oasis. Queen bed, hardwood floors, walk-in shower, high-speed internet, and a 1/2 acre lot right outside your door--complete with chickens, goats, bunnies, a duck and the cutest (and feistiest) pot-belly pig in Austin.
This fantastic backyard garden oasis has been completely remodeled and is available for rent by the night. Hardwood floors, AC unit, heater, queen-size bed with a fluffy duvet. Fully equipped bathroom with walk-in shower and a large closet. Small refrigerator and microwave for your convenience. Coffee pot and toaster oven. Free Wi-Fi! Enjoy a private entrance onto our beautiful 1/2 acre lot. Take in the fresh air while sitting in the Adirondack Chairs right outside your door or spend the day reveling in all that Austin has to offer. We are 3 1/2 miles from downtown Austin and the U.T. campus. There is a bus stop just a short walk up the street. Check-out time is 11:00 am (noon) and check-in time is after 2:00 pm. No minimum stay. Also available for rent by the month. Please look at calendar carefully as rates are subject to increase during festivals and other high traffic times (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc.) Price increases are reflected on the calendar! If you have animal allergies, this is NOT the place for you. Please take time to look at the pictures. We have a lot of animals on our property. We think of this as a huge plus, but allergy sufferers will most likely feel otherwise.
What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we have a HUGE lot so close to downtown. It's like having a little bit of the country in the city.
  • Great stay at a cozy cottage in Austin. Easy check in. Super soft bed and great toffee!

    Susan2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I felt very welcome the whole time. The Cottage was well equipped and very clean. I really enjoyed the backyard and all the critters in it. I would love to come back to this Airbnb if I'm ever in Austin.

    Evan2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was everything in the listing and more. A great place to spend a couple of fun days in Austin. Would recommend to anybody looking for an interesting laid back environment. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the toffee was outstanding.

  • Marcella was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is cozy and warm feeling. You can tell there is so much love put into their home and their rentals. What a great place to stay!

    Mara2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Meredith was a very friendly host. The place was lovely. We enjoyed our stay and will likely be back.

    Heather2014-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay with Marcella and Meredith. Our garden cottage was cozy, clean, and full of awesomely quirky decor. We were welcomed by the family (and their plethora of amazing animals!) and were lucky enough to hear their story of fostering and adoption. These two are so kind. We would strongly recommend staying with them! Thank you both for a wonderful last day of our trip!

    Mckay2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is every bit as charming as it looks in pictures, and even more welcoming. Travel can get a little stressful, so it's great to find a place where you can feel completely relaxed and at home almost instantly. It's rare to meet such kind and genuine hosts as Marcella and her family, who can make guests feel completely welcomed while giving them plenty of space. If you're looking for a beautiful and relaxing stay for a very modest price, this is your place.

    Thomas2014-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying with Marcella and her lovely family. We were made to feel very welcome but also left to our own devices....I would recommend this accommodation for staying on Austin it was only a short bus rose a away from all the main attractions. They have lots of pets and very sweet children. We loved Austin!!!!

A modern, detached 250sq ft micro-unit "casita" in the heart of old South Austin has everything you need for a pleasant stay - high beadboard ceilings, an equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, queen bed and proximity to some of the best Austin offers.
Your place will be a detached 250 square foot casita (small house) remodeled in 2015. It has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, utensils, dinnerware etc. There is also a small under counter washer-dryer. The eating area is an extended countertop that seats up to three and can double as a workspace. The bed is queen sized. The 3/4 bath is small and practical, and has an overhead shower. Super fast gigabit fiber internet is available for you to use. The casita is heated and cooled by a quiet ductless system. There is no microwave or television, though the internet is certainly fast enough to stream anything you desire.
Dawson was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a working class neighborhood in what was then the city's southern edge. With Austin's huge growth, Dawson is now a central city neighborhood, although it retains some of the character of "old South Austin." Today, Dawson is a mix of old residents and newcomers (we've been here 16 years), with modest single story late 1950s houses giving way to new million dollar duplexes. We've kept to the basic style of the original neighborhood, while updating with modern and energy efficient improvements. We are in the middle of the neighborhood, back from busy streets. Dawson is near many of the city's attractions and convenient to the airport, about 20 minutes from ABIA, door to door, at low traffic hours.
  • Great little place, nice and close to downtown.

  • This was the best Air BnB experience we've had! Awesome place with well thought out amenities. Totally hip and comfortable place to stay. Great communication from Edward and totally private space. Thanks!

  • Great place! Perfect for quick travel around the city, and very comfortable.

    Herman2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great stay here! Nice small airy unit with high ceiling, lots of light and everything you need for two! Also very conveniently located - short ride to restaurants and grocery store and very close to downtown. Great easy communication!!

    Heidi2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • The micro-unit was the perfect size for my husband and me during our 5 night stay in Austin. We had everything we needed— coffee, WiFi, and a comfortable bed to name a few amenities.

    Lisa2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay in Austin! I would definitely recommend.

    Laura2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Edward and his family was most welcoming! He was super helpful in accommodating a short notice booking. The neighborhood is nice and quiet - with a park across the street. The micro unit is very comfortable and cozy. It has everything you could need and a little more. It was the perfect respite to escape our busy schedule while in Austin. ..Not to mention having a daily greeting on our way I in or out by their adorable pup Louie. I hope to have the chance to stay there again should my travels bring me back to town.

    Emily2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • The owners were very friendly and helpful, and available to answer our questions and give us suggestions. The description was accurate. Small space, but very comfortable and pleasant for two. It very clean, well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The host provided coffee. Easy access to downtown and the airport with a vehicle We really enjoyed our time in Austin and the neighborhood. Staying in this house was relaxing.

The peaceful private backyard studio is close to everything - downtown, Lady Bird Lake, South Congress, Barton Springs, Zilker Park, Auditorium Shores, Palmer Auditorium, minutes from East Austin. You’ll love the place because of the unique space. Tucked under sprawling Southern Live Oaks trees it has incredible light, a lush queen-sized bed, comfy fold-out leather sofa bed. My place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and it's pet friendly.
The studio is located in the backyard of my house. While it has an open feeling with tons of light - it is still private. There is a small deck and use of the back yard which has a table and comfortable chairs. The studio of itself is special with high ceiling, subdued light and calming feel. With very comfortable furniture and TV (Roku) you can kick-back before hitting the town. There is no kitchen, but there is a coffee maker, tea kettle, small fridge and a microwave. Coffee, tea and a few refreshments will be provided. The european style bathroom is spacious and private with a large-walk in shower and a place to hang cloths.
The studio is located in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. A sweet little hood, a stone throw to downtown Austin, its full of sprawling southern live oak trees and is a eclectic mix of ultra modern new-build homes and the old style bungalows. Stroll a few blocks to South First street for coffee shops, food trucks (breakfast tacos!) , amazing restaurants (vietnamese, thai, mexican) and some boutiques. A few more blocks over is South Congress - which is FULL of bars, restaurants, shops etc. Its all walkable. Barton Springs, which is one of Austin more incredible spots (especially early in the morning or for night swims) is a 5 minute drive. Lady bird lake is a half a mile walk down the street from the Studio. Downtown, Moody theatre, East Austin, Rainy Street are a short 5-10 minute uber ride. Zilker park is a 5 mins drive (15/20 min walk). Airport is 15-20 mins away. Circuit of the Americas is 20-25 mins.
  • Good location, great place. Everything about Adam's place was accurate as described. The place is close to the popular SoCo and downtown, and more importantly, really close to the very delicious Torchy's Tacos!

    Ling Hui2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was so helpful. Let us use his washer and dryer. Beautiful place to spend time. We needed it after weeks of travel. Thank you so much

  • We loved absolutely everything about Adam's studio in Austin. The space was beautiful and comfortable and he provided us with everything we needed to and we felt so welcome in the space. The neighborhood was quiet and central, making it so easy to make the most of our time in Austin. If we ever get the chance to come back, I will definitely try to stay here again!

  • My stay at Adam's studio was absolutely perfect. Adam is a great host, communicating with him was easy and fast, and the studio was very clean, well decorated and in a good location. I'd like to stay here again in the future.

    Brooke2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • It was cozy, clean, quiet and really fun! Adam did a great job putting thought and care into all the small details. Loved our stay! Our first AirBnB experience that was so positive and has us wanting to do this again. I loved the neighborhood and convenience of this place.

    Kitty2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • One of the coolest places I've stayed in a while. I booked Adam's place for an anniversary surprise for my boyfriend and it couldn't have been more perfect. It's in a really convenient area of town, close to a ton of places to eat or grab a drink. The space itself was relaxing and spacious. Very clean and obviously well taken care of, which I appreciate. I loved staying here and would definite come back the next time I'm in Austin!

  • Ben is an exceptionally responsive and friendly host. Holly 2001 is set in a quiet, yet central spot, East of 35: Just a minute to the bike and hike trail; a great place to go for a run in the morning and some stand up paddling in the evening. Rent a bike and its 10 minutes to vibrant downtown! The perfect retreat and refuel for more ATX action, be it work or play. Thanks, Ben!

    Corina2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip started late with a delayed flight, Ben was extremely helpful in providing us information with how to get to his house from the airport as well as how to get in. The room was clean as could be and had everything we needed for our stay, including an amazing bathtub. So relaxing! He also provided a list of restaurants, places to go out, and things to do in the area. Most places are walkable, but do to heat we chose to use fasten to get around which was a cheap convenient method of transportation too. Ben accommodated us at the end of our trip by allowing us to leave our bags a little later than check out so we could explore a bit more before we left. It was overall a great time both in Austin and in Ben's studio.

    Allison2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our host, Ben, was very informative with us upfront and provided all keys and passwords for us to get into the house. After "checking in" we pretty much never heard or saw anybody in the Marshall House besides ourselves. This privacy was fanatastic. The room itself was cozy and well furnished. Even the apple TV was fully loaded, which was a major bonus when we headed back for the night. Austin was truly a lovely city. We took many of Bens suggestions and we're not disappointed. We even ate at Launderette twice because it was so delicious! I would say the only down side was that Uber/Lyft were not working in Austin during our stay, but that is sort out of the scope of what this AirBnB really offers. Also, there is no guitar available for visitors...the room seems to be solely named after the mini fridge... I would also like to give a personal shout out to the shower. It had this great pebble floor that felt very luxurious. The whole experience was truly lovely. I would recommend this AirBnB to any of my friends and family. Austin was an amazing experience and we hope to be back soon.

  • The location was great! We got to most of the good restaurants we had in mind in 10 minutes or less. The address given is not easily located with Apple or (Hidden by Airbnb) maps, so it took us SMS time to find the unit. It was much easier to type in Launderette!

Cozy backyard cabin with a minimal kitchen, maximum cool. There is one queen size bed in the loft , a fold out couch in the living room. And a cot in the shed. The yard is fenced off from the main house with its own entry gate on the side street. Small animals ok, no attack dogs, under 20 pounds.
At the entrance there is a good size deck with a table and two chairs and a chaise lounge. The great room is the main living space. The bathroom with a no curb shower is at the back off the living room. The mini kitchen is to the right of the living room. There is a small step down, so watch your step. The loft stairs are a bit steep , just to the right at entry . Tall people watch your head as you enter the loft.
Quickie Pickie is the de facto meetup spot. Great mochas! The Ironworks BBQ is a good substitute while Franklins BBQ while it is getting rebuilt. Justine’s is great food, as is Magnolia.
  • Great location, quirky charm! Indoor/outdoor living. Would love to stay again.

  • This place was super cute and relaxing to stay at, especially for couples I recommend 100%. It’s not to far from downtown Austin and it is near a few restaurants, shops etc. Overall experience was amazing! Would stay there again next time I’m in Austin!

    Selena2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super cool tiny-house type place with great artwork by Janis Fowler. East Austin ended up being our favorite of all the neighborhoods. Few great places within 1-2 blocks (Quickie Pickie rocks), and only about 1 mile to 6th St/Red River area. So, walkable to main attractions but definitely need a car to take in all of Austin! Bathroom is gorgeous (toiletries stocked), kitchen is minimal (fridge not stocked), outdoor space inviting. Host not on site, hands-off, but available via phone. Interior climate control needs some tweaking but would definitely stay again. Recommend booking!

  • We were in town for a concert and had a great stay here. The location really is unbeatable. Walking distance or a short car ride to most of the places we wanted to go. Plus there are some great restaurants/food trucks right up the street.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed the place and Jake is a great host.

  • We loved this beautiful tiny house near downtown Austin. This place was perfect for my sister and I to stay for a mini vacation this summer. Jake is responsive to questions through the Airbnb site.

Beautiful flat that comfortably sleeps up to four and is conveniently situated in Austin's centrally located and hip Hyde Park neighborhood and very close to the University of Texas, perfect for UT Football games. Featuring bamboo floors, a full kitchenette (with double burner, micro-wave, dishes, cookware and cooking utensils), colorful furniture and lots of natural light, its the antidote to the impersonal and tired big box hotel experience. We also have recently installed a brand new A/C unit, which is always a nice thing during our hot summers!! The apartment is on the same premise as the owner's home, but separate from the main house. So, they are close by if assistance is needed, but the apartment maintains plenty of privacy. It includes one full bed with a comfortable futon couch that folds out for two additional sleeping spots, and a dining table with place settings for up to four people. It also features one full bathroom with shower, and plenty of clean towels and linens provided. Close street parking. For longer term rentals, covered parking is a possibility. Located just a few minutes walk from Elizabet Ney museum and Hyde Park's quaint local shopping district, which feature's Austin restaurant gems Asti, Mothers, Julio's and Hyde Park Bar & Grill, and coffee shops Quack's and La Dolce Vita, its easy to get out and enjoy the neighborhood. Its also a short 8 minute drive or 15 minute direct bus ride to the University of Texas campus, and its world renowned intellectual, sports, museum, and arts & culture facilities. Further, given the apartment's central location, its an easy trip to downtown's eclectic, and sometimes wild, live music, entertainment, and shopping districts. Lastly, if outdoor activities are your thing, its also a short drive to Lady Bird Lake, Lake Austin and Lake Travis for water activities and/or well kept hiking and running trails. The attentive property owners, Simone and Drew, live on-site with their son, and two dogs (Jordan and Lili). So, you might enjoy fresh eggs. In short, if you're up to an easy going and authentic Austin experience for a few days (longer term rentals may be considered), this might prove a great choice. We're looking forward to hosting you! Sincerely, Simone & Drew Entertainment: TV, includes cable and streaming access to Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Pandora. • Drew was a great host, and the suite was beautiful. Gave us great recommendations for restaurant (Vino Vino) and advice about Austin.

    Kate2012-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Drew and family's flat was incredible. The unit above the seperated garage behind the house had a private entrance and was easy to get in and out of without bothering anyone. The bed was very comfy and the whole place had great lighting and a cool breeze on a warm day that just hit the spot. The bathroom was clean and well equipped and the location was quite central. Thanks for the great stay Drew!

    Kevin2015-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Drew was so welcoming and the flat was perfect. We didn't give much notice before our stay but when we arrived everything was in place. The flat was very much suited to our needs as it had a fully equipped kitchen a private shower and bath and we especially liked Pandora being channeled through the tv. The location of the flat is also nice as its situated in a quiet residential area but downtown is easily accessible and there are nice cafes and restaurants in walking distance. We would highly recommend this place and will stay again when we return to Austin!

    Josephine 2012-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first official stay at a property listed on AirBnB. We stayed here since the flat was located within a mile from the friends we were visiting in Austin. It is also about a mile from the Hyde Park restaurants/coffee shops/bakery, which made it easy to run out and get something to eat/drink. We were very pleased with our stay. We felt that the flat was comfortable and inviting. It had all the basic necessities and Drew made the check in/check out process hassle-free. It was unusually cold in Austin the weekend that we were there, so Drew provided a heater that made the place warm and cozy. We would consider staying here again.

    Liz2013-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • You can't do better than staying at Drew's place. Super comfortable flat, very clean and well-decorated. Drew and Simone are great hosts. The location is pretty good too, as there are several bus lines nearby connecting you to Austin Downtown.

    Ricardo2014-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Drew was a great host. He was very responsive and incredibly knowledgeable/helpful about the area. The apartment was comfortable and clean, and the neighborhood had plenty of coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. close by. We'd definitely recommend Drew's place.

    Lia2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • So why go back to somewhere you have stayed before? Generally, I like new experiences, however Drew is so easy to work with, the place is pitch perfect, and the location cannot be beat, that this is my second stay at his place. Drew's communication is impeccable, he makes you feel so comfortable, and even in the heat this apartment stays cool. Bonus--the doves in Hyde Park provide the best soundtrack, and the city pool up the street is free. All in all, the perfect airbnb experience. Thanks again Drew!

    Kitty2013-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Drew was very accommodating to our changing holiday travel schedule. The place was as good as advertised and was in an excellent location in town to welcome my partner to Austin for the first time. I would highly recommend Drew and his space for folks new to the city but also looking to return to Austin in a while.

  • Super Clean, Stylish and Hip Condo right in the middle of tons of bars and restaurants in Downtown Austin!! Super happy with everything!! If you are a light sleeper and don’t go out @ night might not be for you as you can hear the bars music till they close but they provide ear plugs and it’s not too loud and I personally loved being in the middle of all the action!

    Susan2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and view from the balcony. I enjoyed the gym, washer/dryer, and the bed was really comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Great location and beautiful stylish space. The space was clean, well furnished, and can't get a better location in downtown Austin! The building also has everything you could need, including: a pool, gym, friendly staff, and even your morning coffee!

  • Such a great location for the price! The apt is beautifully decorated and in a very hip part of downtown austin. We were local to some great bars and restaurants but still far enough from the craziness of 6th st. which we walked to a coupe times. Absolutely had no noise issues with the provided sound machine. I have already recommended my friends check this place out if they ever visit.

Share a relaxed, al fresco evening meal with friends at the 12 foot dining table or share stories around the fire pit under the Texan stars. Bring the outdoors in with sliding glass doors opening onto the backyard of this renovated '50s bungalow.
Completely re-imagined by a designer/architect, this 1950's house was stripped to the studs to be recreated into a modern oasis of cool just ten minutes to the epicenter of downtown Austin. Appointed with every comfort, the home sports sliding glass walls to the backyard to allow the inside out and the outside in. An expansive living room gets even larger with the view to the backyard's minimalist "mound of grass" and the communal fire-pit beyond. A massive 12 foot long dining table adds casual chic to any grill-out dinner party you may want to throw under the Texas stars, or just a leisurely cool morning coffee. Just a step up from the living room and a theatre-style kitchen and serving bar allows even the most gourmet chef to have their crack at cooking anything from the local Whole Foods headquarters. Every amenity is available for the food fanatic, from induction cook-top to espresso machine. Two bedrooms on either side of a long entry hallway provide great privacy for a two-couple retreat. The queen bed guest suite has its own direct access to the backyard with a wall of glass, and its own accompanying bath. The king bed master bedroom is a technical delight, with a ceiling mounted, flat-panel TV that rotates for viewing in bed or in the chroma therapy air jet bathtub. A separate shower stall with digital controls sports both a 12" rain shower head and a hand-held shower wand. The master bathroom, like the kitchen extension is completely clad in a warm zen-inducing bamboo. (NOTE: This house can be rented with the neighboring house for large get-togethers up to 10 people, and the two together provide TONS of outdoor entertainment space including two dining areas, a hot tub, the fire pit, and outdoor spa shower with a waterfall head. If interested search for the listing "Hip Oasis, Bamboo Forest & Hot Tub." to see the other. Inquiries for a dual rental will receive a special price for the two together.)
Windsor Park is a Keep Austin Weird neighborhood three miles from downtown. Trendy spots nearby include East Austin Bikram Yoga and eateries The Nomad "Global" Bar, Paco's Tacos, Xian Sushi, Tino's Greek, Torchy's Tacos, and Corona Cafe.
  • We were extremely happy with our stay at Michael's house. The photos and information on the site were accurate and Michael communicated well before our arrival with full info. The house has a great access process and once inside it has style in abundance. Great backyard for sitting in for breakfast and in the evenings. Excellent location in a quiet street but only 15 minutes from downtown. We'd thoroughly recommend.

    Allan2018-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Place is great highly recomend staying here for multiple days.

    Adrian2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Michael's place. The house was relaxing and peacefully tucked in a quiet community. We enjoyed our little stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this house again if we were to visit the Austin community again.

    Chuck2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • This house is absolutely beautiful! Michael designed it himself and it's just a fantastic space. So much natural light, and so comfortable. A legit kitchen tops it off, and the entertainment system was more than enough for watching the presidential debate. Michael communicated everything efficiently and we had no problems. The neighborhood is a bit out of the way, but I was there on business and had no problems driving around to where I needed to be. Overall a fantastic experience!

    Justin2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The only place to stay in Austin. If you’re on this page, and you don’t book, you’re making a mistake.

    Joe2018-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay if you are going to be in Austin for a few days. We had previously stayed in downtown Austin, and wanted to try one of the more residential areas of town. The house is north of downtown, in a quiet area that appears to be gentrifying, with several recent modern renovations. The area does have some restaurants and shops nearby , but we were glad to have a car to explore other areas. Michael's home is very stylish, comfortable and has all the amenities you need for an enjoyable stay. If you are looking for a modern home, with great amenities, you should book this house, as we plan to when we return to Austin.

Modern, bright, granny flat in the heart of east Austin. Walking distance to Franklin BBQ, Qui Restaurant, dozens of bars and restaurants in and around east 6th St., the Capitol, downtown and UT sports. Washer/dryer, wifi and off street parking.
The space, recently built is naturally light, airy and open. It has a kingsize bed, 400 thread count sheets and lots of pillows. The sectional sofa was custom built to fit the space and the smart television can be watched comfortably from both it or the bed as it is mounted to the wall and swivels. The bathroom and shower are truly special. The enormous shower is tiled in the most serene green glass and the rain shower head is delicious. Location is what really makes the flat great. It is within walking distance to many of Austin's great bars and restaurants as well as the Capitol and UT sports venues. Guests have access to wifi, washer/dryer, small kitchen with fridge, sink, French press coffee and toaster oven. Off street parking is also available. Having lived in Austin for 16 years, I am happy to offer recommendations on where to eat and drink and what to see and do. I love the neighborhood because of its walkability and proximity to so many of Austin's great landmarks and attractions. Public transit is available, cars to go, bike rental are all options. • Great location. Comfy and aesthetically pleasing accommodation which was private and had easy access. You couldn't ask for more when looking for a close approximation to downtown in Austin.

    Scott2014-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time. The space is perfect.

    William2014-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had an enjoyable stay at the Granny Flat. Good quiet location and convenient drive to downtown. The space seemed somewhat unprepared for our arrival and some basics, like hand towels were not provided but the hosts brought some over when requested. Attention to a few other details: space to hang towels, no wash clothes provided, no glassware other than coffee mugs, a table/bar to drink coffee/eat while in the room, etc would have made for a nicer stay. All in all, nice, basic accommodation.

    Sadrah & Mike2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kristine made it so easy to check in and out but the real treat about this stay was the space - so charming! I will be coming back to Austin for business a few times in the next year and plan to stay here whenever it's available. So clean and comfortable, too and the location is fantastic!

    Elizabeth2015-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Kristine's flat was lovely and cozy! My husband and I were in Austin for a week, and this served perfectly as our home base. Everything is adorably decorated, and yes, the shower is AMAZING. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

    Elizabeth2016-05-04T00:00:00Z

  • GREAT AIRBNB

    Alex2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thomas went above and beyond to make our stay outstanding. The accomadations are private and well stocked with personal touches that make a stay away from home more comfortable. He went out of his way to see that my son was comfortable and provide information on the area culture, and dining experiences. He even was up at 4am to help with our bags.

    Carolyn2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thomas is a real super host. We have decided that we will stay with him for all of our future Austin trips. His place was as comfy as our own home. You can’t put a fair price on feeling relaxed and welcome.

    Crystal2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • My Dad and I stayed with Thomas for one night and he truly went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend anyone who is staying in Austin stay with Thomas. His knowledge of the area made it much easier for us to decide what to do when we got there. And the room had everything we needed. Thanks again Thomas!

    Paul2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky to have found such a nice place. Thomas made everything very easy. He welcomed us when we arrived late in the evening and made sure we were familiar with our suite and had everything we needed. The suite had a very large walkin closet that we used as a dressing room, a tub and toilet room, a separate large vanity and counter area and then a good sized bedroom that was set up with a queen and a single bed. Both were VERY comfy. He has any type of toiletry and normal medicine (ibuprofen, antacid, etc) that you could possibly need. Very nice touch. He texted me several ideas of what to do that were very helpful. His location made it very easy to visit all areas of Austin and we also went to Waco and San Antonio. There was a very nice pool that was about 1 building away that we swam in. It is part of the complex but only saw a couple people there. I would highly recommend his place. The only drawback was the entry stairs, about 15, so if that is a problem for anyone, take note. Personally, I didn't mind but my cousins artificial hips did!

Listen to the rustle of leafy trees on the shared rooftop deck of this centrally located, modern guest suite. The home has an understated, minimalist aesthetic and features a full kitchen with bright, open windows and convenient in-unit laundry.
New modern guest suite complete with a full kitchen, bathroom and in-unit laundry. It gets plenty of natural light and is quiet and cozy while being only a few blocks from eating, drinking and entertainment.
The home is situated on a quiet residential street that is conveniently located within walking distance of all that east 6th and 11th streets have to offer. Austin's exciting east side is walkable to all the bars, restaurants, and fun.
  • Michael's modern guesthouse was a wonderful place to land when we arrived to Austin. Visiting from New York, my boyfriend and I had no qualms walking from the home to downtown Austin and even over the Congress bridge. Lots of great bars, coffee shops and dining options are nearby. I would recommend renting a car or bicycles if you're not used to walking 30-1hr to get to the rest of the city - but East Austin is enjoyable on its own!

    Samantha2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great!

    Jonathan2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Listing is accurate. Communication was minimal - did not see host at all as he was out of town so no one to reach out to with a couple of issues. Michaels place is clean, simple, bare bones but fine. Nice to have a fully equipped kitchen. Easy access with entry dose is a nice touch.

    Heather2015-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as it was described. Probably one of the best spots you can find on the Eastside. Super close to great food and night life. I walked to downtown in about 25 minutes. I'll be back!

    Sam2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is as clean as it gets, it has cool amenities, in a nice neighborhood close to a lot of places to hang out and grab a beer or a bite (Go to Blue Dahlia while in the neighborhood). The place is quite safe, Michael is always available and around to help you out with anything that comes up. Finally, it is even better in person than in pictures.

    Sergio2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • There is a modern aesthetic to Michael's place that my wife and I enjoyed. We also enjoyed being tucked away in a quite east Austin neighborhood. We slept very comfortably. My wife and I were pedestrians during our time in Austin, and found the location to be convenient. There were multiple eatery opportunities on Rosewood and 11th Street to the north and 6th Street to the south. All were within a 10 minute walk, and on a beautiful sunny day why not walk. Also, let me emphasize, the food trucks are a foodie's dream. Maybe this goes without saying. We even walked into downtown Austin a couple times. A mile, mile and a half. I think its worth the stroll. Communicating with Michael was a pleasure. His space is presented accurately. And, our experience was perfect. My wife and I would stay there again without hesitation. Thank you Michael!

  • Michael was easy to communicate with. Gave clear instructions and was very accommodating to our early arrival. The place was absolutely perfect for two people. My sister and I felt comfortable, all basic items were there for us to use. Most importantly, the place was very clean and tidy. The location was just great for us and he gave several great suggestions on where to grab coffee and food. Would definitely stay here again!

Walk to Zilker, UT campus, W 6th nightlife, world-class restaurants, Texas State Capitol, museums, and more! Be sure to check it out, to make your stay as smooth as possible.
Whether you're looking for a festival, a quick weekend getaway or in town for a conference or a Congressional session, this is the perfect spot to lay your head. If you're looking for a party pad, this unit is not for you :( When you book with us, please refer to the "House Manual" in the "Your Trips" section of the AirBnB page (also in the confirmation email). • Beautiful space and location. Easy to get in and out. Very comfy bed. Fantastic house manual descriptions. Thanks!

  • Great spot for our evening in Austin! The apartment was as expected (very well decorated!), instructions were very clear, Brett was very responsive, and the location was great! I'd definitely recommend.

  • Brett's place was very stylish and cozy. I also love that his place was dog-friendly! He was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • Brett was very responsive and the apartment was exactly as advertised. Quick walk to UT Austin campus and easy access to public transit. Thanks so much, Brett!

  • This condo is adorable. We loved the location and the sensational nighttime view! We will definitely stay again.

  • Great first AirBnb stay. Loved the location. The condo was as described and was better than expected. Great area for walking. I highly recommend.

    Paul2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Brett was easy to communicate with, and the check-in procedure was easy and relaxed! The appartment itself was nicely decorated and clean. Unfortunately we were unable to use the balcony but it looked really nice as well. The location is great!

    Werner2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Brett's apartment. We were in Austin for a conference on UT campus, and then we stayed a few extra days to see the city afterwards. Even if you have zero plans to be on campus, the apartment is well-situated--we never felt far from the places we wanted to see downtown and even across the river. The space is beautiful, the balcony is so quiet and relaxing in the mornings, and the apartment has everything you need. It very quickly began to feel like home away from home!

Welcome to our studio in the heart of Hyde Park! The casita (Spanish for "little house") has its own private fenced yard and parking. You can walk to Hyde Park Village, the Triangle or North Loop and it is minutes to downtown and UT by car.
Our private studio offers convenient access to everything you want to do in Austin. It is small (approximately 250 square feet, like a small hotel room) but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with charm (and everything you need for a great stay). The casita includes a private fenced yard with off-street parking and a private entrance. Also included are WiFi, and smart TV (no cable, but Netflix account pre logged in.) The studio has a brand new Queen sized bed. Guests with children are welcome to bring an air mattress for no additional charge, but space is tight with a mattress on the floor. Due to its limited size, we DO NOT recommend the Casita for 4 full-sized adults. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave with a portable 2 burner hot plate and all of the windows have window coverings for privacy. As we are located in the middle of a historic residential community (and love our neighbors), keeping outdoor noise down is critical. Enjoy the deck and private yard, but if you're a fan of blaring music and doing beer bongs, you're in the wrong place. The studio is located near several bus stops in a safe neighborhood that is very safe to walk in. Thanks for checking us out! Our beautiful and friendly neighborhood is one of the oldest in Austin. It is full of tree lined streets with eclectic homes. You can walk to local coffee shops, restaurants or Shipe Park for a picnic or swim (in the summer time)!
  • We had a great time at the casita. Very comfortable for two people. Very nice bathroom. Chris greeted us and was super friendly and helpful, a true local. Easy access to all of town, just a short drive. Private parking spot was great too - right outside the casita. Would definitely recommend to a friend and would definitely stay here again.

    Sam2015-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the casita. It was very clean, modern, and in such a beautiful historic neighborhood. Although we didn't make use of the kitchen aside from the fridge, it was well equipped with cute dishes, a microwave, sink, etc. There isn't a stove but there are so many great restaurants within walking distance so that was no issue. We felt completely safe and even took off one night to walk to an ice cream place down the street. There is a nice deck and a private yard space, including private parking for smaller vehicles. The bed is comfortable and you get your own Netflix for those lazy moments. We arrived later than expected but Chris made sure the lights were on and it was easy to find with his directions. He was very nice, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely stay again when in the area!

    Tara2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place! Chris was very quick to respond to our questions. The location was perfect to see a lot of the city. Easy parking. Easy check in/check out. Easy to walk to cafes and restaurants. We'd stay again!

    Cally2015-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was an excellent host! The Casita is in Austin's loveliest neighborhood- Hyde Park. Close proximity to downtown and great spots like Kome, Taco Deli, Houndstooth Coffee, House Pizza, and In-n-Out Burger. The Casita has a wonderful amount of natural light and the area is very lush and green. The finish out feels very new and modern with all of the necessary amenities. Chris was very responsive and helpful. Overall our stay was extremely smooth. I would highly recommend this spot if you are visiting Austin and want a peaceful stay in a beautiful part of town.

    Thomas2015-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice casita that looks just like the photos. We enjoyed being able to walk the quiet neighborhood and were able to walk to high end dinner (ochiko sushi), food trucks and a nice breakfast at a coffee shop. Everything was ready when we arrived and although we never asked, we felt the owner was available to help if we had questions.

    John2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place was so cozy and just overall amazing.

    Jorge2017-05-14T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely place in a great part of town! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Julie’s place. The home has a great layout and design with everything one could need.

    Kate2018-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • All around a wonderful place! Big windows and lots of light throughout the space make this a nice sanctuary on the eastside. Julie's added some really thoughtful features making this place unique and comfortable. The loft was a nice place to retreat from time to time and just relax. The locations great, just around the corner from Figure 8 coffee and a short walk to all the spots on east 6th. Parking, wifi, and all amenities were wonderful. They are great hosts and I'd absolutely stay at this place again!

A cozy 1 bed poolside studio suite with a contemporary twist. It comfortably fits 2 and is located in a safe neighborhood, walking distance to fabulous cafes, shops, a spa, a grocery store, and only a 15-20 min drive to downtown - Happiness Abound!
We want you to be comfy! This is an adorable 1 queen size bed studio suite with a cozy home-away-from home feeling. The apartment is more spacious than a hotel room nearby - and more cost effective! It means you have this cool little comfortable spot all to yourself including the kitchen with stocked cooking ware and utensils - the entire apartment with all the amenities. The space is bigger than the photos suggest! The space comfortably fits two or three with the extra Air Mattress (please remind us if it's needed), although we have hosted four at once, and is located in a safe neighborhood - an amazing part of north Austin, walking distance to fabulous cafes, shops, a grocery store, and only a 15 minute drive to downtown! To generally answer the question asked the most: "What's the security deposit?" - answer - "unlike a hotel, we do not accept cash or a credit card for incidentals when you arrive." Refer to AirBnB's policy on security deposits and how it works. You will have ample parking in a safe garage. You will have full access to the entire apartment which includes the 1 queen size bed with an additional cozy plush air mattress for the extra guest. Value for the price! Unfortunately at this time no pets are allowed. No cats. No dogs. The space is not child proof or baby proof. Please be thoughtful and considerate when looking at your options. Because of the nature of allergens we do the best to keep the place allergy free - so please do not attempt to smoke in the space - the air duct cleaning fee for clearing smoke is not worth the chance. Please - enjoy your stay!
Situated in a beautiful outdoor park-like setting in north Austin, the neighborhood features several upscale retail stores, bars and restaurants. The community is surrounded by condo and apartment style residences. We will be happy to make our recommendations and suggestions for food places to visit and things to see and do. Whole Foods (Amazon Grocery), modeled after their flagship Austin headquarters store, is two blocks away. The infamous Rock Rose area, with all the bars and pubs, is down the street. Punch Bowl Social, North Italia, Kona, CPK, Glorias, and Shake Shack are all within walking distance. Most top brand name retail stores including Apple are only steps away. For all those tee time aficionados TopGolf driving range is just three blocks away.

The building also has a nice swimming pool and good size gym open all day long.

Modern, light-filled tiny house in central Austin has all the amenities of a hotel room but in a quiet neighborhood near UT. Perfect for 2 people, it's an easy walk to restaurants, bars and music, and a short drive to downtown, east side and SOCO.
The best way to experience Austin is to come and go from the privacy of your own home. This 8' x 17' tiny house has all the amenities of a hotel room but in a neighborhood setting in central Austin near UT. The tiny house is parked in a big backyard and has its own private access. It’s a short walk to popular local eateries like Olive & June and Austin breakfast original, Kerbey Lane, and an easy drive to the east side, SOCO, downtown, SXSW venues, Zilker Park, and UT activities. Off-street parking is steps from the front door. The house has an open, airy floor plan with lots of natural light, custom cabinetry and modern furnishings. The loft space is a great sleeping nook with a queen bed, sconces, and outlets so you can charge your phone or other devices at night. The shower and toilet downstairs and comes with basic necessities like towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and a small blow dryer. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and a sink for both kitchen and bath needs. The kitchen has essentials for enjoying a simple meal like plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils, hand and paper towels, cutting board, knives, can opener, salt & pepper, etc. There is 138 sq. ft. downstairs and an additional 42 sq. ft. sleeping loft for a total living space of 180 sq. ft. Please remember that it is a tiny home and the shower space is smaller (3' x 3') with a curtain door to the bathroom. It may be uncomfortable if you are very tall. My partner is 6'4" and he has to slump a bit in the shower. I've had several tall guests who have not had any problem but I want to be clear in my description of the space. The tiny home has a 10 gallon water heater, which is standard for small spaces, but if you like to take longer showers, this may not be the space for you. While I have a 2 night minimum stay as a general policy, I will consider a 1 night stay, so feel free to send me an inquiry. It mainly depends on if I will be able to get free from work to clean it before you or the next guest arrives. The price includes all city and state hotel taxes. The tiny home features its own private access and small courtyard shaded by a Texas pecan tree! Parking is spacious, off street and steps from your front door. It also has a Tevo lock, so can be accessed from your smart phone or by key. The tiny home is located in my big backyard but is very private and I will not disturb you. What is so great about the neighborhood is that it is so walkable - restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and running trail are all within walking distance. It's close to MoPac and is a short drive to pretty much all that Austin has to offer. It's got lots of great trees, people out walking their dogs, and a nice neighborhood feel to it. If you are planning on getting around by taxi, you will easily be able to hail a cab downtown but you will need to call ahead to get a cab to pick you up from the tiny home. Most guests use Uber or Lyft. If you plan to take the bus, there is a bus stop a block from the house and other bus stops are within walking distance. While I have a 2 night minimum stay as a general policy, I will consider a 1 night stay, so feel free to send me an inquiry. It mainly depends on if I will be able to get free from work to clean it before you or the next guest arrives. Please be courteous and considerate of the neighbors.

  • This is a great place to stay just outside the city of Austin! The space is cozy but its light and airy due to the size of the furnishings! I think its perfect for a couple or a single person! The fridge and microwave were great for late night snacks! The bathroom took some getting used to since there was only a curtain to close off the bathroom if you were in there, but if the second person is up on the bed with the air on - you can't hear anything (TMI but crucial I think!). AC worked wonderfully and we slept so peacefully! Would definitely recommend to people interested in tiny homes! Super close to downtown. 5 minute drive to parking garages by Congress/Brazos.

  • What a great experience! This tiny home is exactly as portrayed and Trish was an excellent host. The location was perfect and within a 10-15 minute drive to everything in Austin. Austin was amazing and this tiny house topped it off! Highly recommend!

    Lindsey2016-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This small space is very cozy. It looks bigger on the inside. It had everything we needed. There was two of us and just enough room. We made dinner inside with a crockpot and cutting veggies, etc. I have no complaints. It is a tiny house so it is tiny. It has lots of charm. Heating warms up very quickly. Bed was very comfy. Ladder kind of a pain climbing down at night to go to restroom, but alot of tiny houses have them. It's common. The bathroom does not have a door, but has a curtain. It's bit of a surprise. The privacy in Trish's backyard and private parking was great. Right around the corner from everything! Trish I met while leaving coincidentally. She is super pleasant with a warm smile. She was very engaged and communicative. I would definitely stay there again!

    Lanesia2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little house 15 minutes away from the city. The bus stop is super close and makes getting around easy and affordable. Clean and tidy.

    Melanie2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Trish's Tiny House was incredible! It was exactly as described and shown in pictures. 2 of us stayed comfortably in the home. It was clean and had all the necessities, including a hair dryer and coffee! The location is perfect- close to MOPAC and minutes from downtown and the university. Trish had fantastic communication throughout the entire process. The Kevo key system is very convenient! It was extremely clean and tidy as well. I will definitely stay again on my next trip to Austin!

    Brittany2015-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house was exactly what my best friend and I needed for a short get-away. Extremely convenient location for anything you plan to do, literally right off Mopac with your own separate entrance and parking in a very pretty and quiet neighborhood. It is a very comfortable place and so bright and open that you forget how small the place actually is. It has everything you need from a hair dryer to a wine bottle opener. You even have your choice of two WiFi connections, both of which are very fast. Trish was extremely responsive in communications and couldn't have been easier to work with.

  • Had a wonderful time staying in Jason's place with four friends! The place was exactly as listed and all of us slept comfortably. It was also a quick uber to some nearby hotspots so was very convenient for us! Jason was also very responsive to a question we had prior to checkout and in general was accommodating and easy and pleasant to communicate with! This was my first time using Airbnb and it was perfect for my group's needs - I'd highly recommend Jason as a host!

  • The place was clean and comfortable. No complaints!

    Carita2015-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • The unit was comfortable, it had the amenities I needed, and the host was punctual. However, I was expecting something different. The pictures and positive reviews led me to believe this place was a going to be a luxury modern condo in a nice part of Austin. In reality, this is a very well furnished/decorated apartment in a low income apartment complex in a pretty bad part of town.

    Justin2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space, light and highly functional. Great kitchen. All as described. Jason was the perfect host - quick and helpful responses, even at night when I got mixed up with the key code.

  • This is a great condo very close to everything Austin has to offer. Spacious, clean, comfortable, and well appointed. This was a very convenient place for three guys in grad school to base our week long Austin adventure out of. Some comments refer to the neighborhood... the neighborhood is not the gentrified Austin that some people want, however it is a great neighborhood and the complex is quite safe. This is a great place to stay at a great price.

    Matt2014-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's apartment was perfect for our needs. The community was quiet, allowing our group to study, and the location was very convenient for us. We would stay again.

  • Very close to downtown. I will definitely stay here again if I need to be close to downtown!!!

Private rm in 2bd apartment, walking distance to downtown & Zilker Park! (Festival friendly!) Close to Riverside Personal balcony with amazing view of the city. Includes: Pool, BBQ, & 3rd story deck. Queen sized bed w/ air mattresses available.
*Perfect location for ACL, FunFunFun Fest, & SXSW Events (all within walking distance without the Uber/Car hassle!!* * During festivals I allow up to 5 guests [air mattress, couch, and queen air bed available] * *Child-free - no infants or children are allowed in this complex* I have a great private bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment, tucked away off Congress/Riverside on Academy Dr. but right in the heart of Austin action. Downtown is about a 10-15 minute walk (depending on the route you take) and Zilker is about a 15-20 minute walk (also depending on the route you take). Your room has a comfortable queen-sized bed with mattress pad and private balcony. You have a PRIVATE vanity area and shared toilet/shower with direct access from your bedroom. Closet and drawer space is provided for extended stays. Old & Quirky Apartment Disclaimer: Please know this this is an older apartment with a lot of charm AND quirks that come along with that age. I routinely clean the bedroom carpet (even though it may look aged) and all surfaces. Walk to South Congress for live-music at the famous Continental Club or Gueros or take the Congress Bridge across to downtown for food, drinks, and more music. Amble down Barton Springs Rd. to Zilker Park where you can swim in Barton Springs or paddle board Town Lake.
This is an exciting neighborhood with an endless amount of this to do. Walk to Zilker Park and check out Barton Springs! At dusk, take a 5 minute walk to Congress Bridge to see the bats before heading downtown for a night out. Austin is always keeping it weird and our neighborhood puts you right in the center of it. Discover new food from the food trucks all around us. Live music is found every day in every nook and cranny of Austin. Minutes to the world famous Continental Club (and the even better Gallery upstairs where you can catch local acts). Explore Town Lake by canoe or paddle board - rentals are right near the apartment. Keep fit by walking and running the Hike and Bike trail that goes around down and around the river.
  • I bumped into Gina a couple times during my stay and she was lovely. The neighborhood is really quiet but with easy access to night life and parks. Comfortable bed, clean room, and the fact that the door uses a security code eliminates the need to carry around a set of keys, which is a huge plus.

    Uri2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place was described accurately and was in a great location for walking to downtown and surrounding areas. Hosts were very nice with friendly pets. Only small complaint was it was a bit warm at times in the apartment, but hosts were accommodating when asked to turn on AC. My husband and I would recommend to a friend!

    Lindsay2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great location!

    Alan2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Ginas apartment for 4 nights and 5 days while vacationing in Austin. This is probably our 30th Airbnb stay, and unfortunately this experience and accommodation ranked towards the bottom. If you're looking for a quick one night, budget friendly place to stay - this is it. If you're looking for a place with updated and clean amenities for multiple relaxing nights, this is probably not it. Looking back four days was too long to be there for us. Pros: Can't beat the location and cost - you'll be blocks from SoCo. It was hard to find a better location at that price. Cons: Overall cleanliness of the apartment. It had a certain smell when you walked in. Not sure if it was the dated apartment, or the pets. The comforter looked and felt about 10 years old, and the apartment and/or room and bathroom did not feel or clean. Walls are paper thin. Not a lot of privacy. There is a shared bathroom in between the rooms, so if you are a light sleeper this in not the spot for you. The communication was few and far between. We were rarely at the place, nor were they which was fine. I texted a couple times to alert the owners of our whereabouts/check in time and didn't hear back.

    Thomas And Libby2017-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Not quite as shown in photo, but overall fine stay.

    Mary Sue2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for ACL and it was a perfect place! It was close enough to walk to both down town and Zilker park but was far enough away to stay clear or the crowds and traffic. Gina and her pets are so sweet. I would recommend this place.

    Hannah2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place made for a good base location to pass through Austin and check out very cool SoCo dining and nightlife in walking distance. Room itself was clean and comfortable enough and a good value for the area, nifty little balcony is handy if the weather is nice for having a coffee or doing a little work as there is not a desk in the room. Super friendly house cat.

    Jason2017-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay with Gina and Aaron! Wonderful location, right by all the cool bits of Austin and neighbourhood is gorgeous. Great to have the pool access. Apartment is a cool haven in a hot and humid city! Izzy the cat is adorable. Highly recommend this place! Also vegetarians note: Bouldin Creek Cafe does the best damn food in Austin. We went two mornings in a row.. 15-20 min walk from the apartment.

  • A couple of girlfriends and I came to Austin for five days and really enjoyed our stay! The condo was very clean and spacious and just minutes from downtown. If we had any questions Jason was there to answer within a couple hours. I would highly recommend this place for your next day or first day in Austin! We will for sure be coming back!

  • The host was very responsive with great communication. The condo appeared to be an apartment to me and was a bit nicer in pictures. The place was nice and clean on the inside.

    Courtney2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Good distance to downtown. Plenty of space to have several people and not feel like you are right on top of each other. Communicates well.

    C'Nedra2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean & priced well. Located on the bottom floor of what looks more like an apartment complex than condo's. Make sure you are familiar with the location before booking in Austin.

    Jamie-Robert2018-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Jason is an excellent host. He’s quick to communicate and answer questions. One of our showers had a plumbing issue when we arrived, and he worked hard to get someone out there to handle it by the next day. Check in and check out were extremely easy. There’s a key pad on the door so you don’t have to keep up with a key. The place is extremely accommodating to a group. So many comfortable places to sleep and sit. The only issues we had was that the neighborhood is a little sketchy and not somewhere you’d want to walk at night. We were safe inside though. The pool was also extremely dirty. So much so, we decided not to use it at all. I’m not sure the last time the complex did any maintenance or cleaning. Both of these things are beyond Jason’s control though, and I would still recommend it to others overall!

    Elizabeth2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The space was clean and as described. It was a short drive or cheap Uber to downtown ($7-9). This space was a great value. We had a horrific 12 hour delay of our flight and I was able to contact Jason through the process and he was able to accommodate us. We had a great trip and I would stay at this Air B and B again.

  • Great place to stay! Great location close to downtown!

    Zaira2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was a decent place for the price. The beds were a bit noisy and the shower water pressure was inconsistent but it’s a good place to stay if you’re going to be going out a lot.

  • This newly renovated 2nd Floor Condo is very clean and close to downtown Austin. Communication with Jason was quick and efficient.

    Tabatha2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was pretty clean and matched up to the photos, and Jason was a very timely and polite communicator. As others have noted the fridge was pretty noisy through the night, there were some water pressure issues in the hall bathroom, and the bunk bed was creaky. The condo neighborhood was somewhat rundown and we were woken by yelling neighbors around 1am.

    Kate2018-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very stylish and clean.

    Kim2018-06-29T00:00:00Z

This cozy apartment right on East 6th St. is right in the middle of the action. Easy walking distance to the Convention Center, and tons of great food trucks, restaurants and bars are just at your doorstep as well. This is a very cute apartment, but be warned: It is in a 100 year old building so it’s got its quirks. There’s also a great little low key bar right downstairs. This means it can sometimes get a bit noisy on the weekends, but they typically turn down the music before midnight.
The apartment is thoughtfully decorated and very cozy. Nice linens, fluffy towels, good coffee all included. *please do keep in mind that the apartment is above a great little bar, so there will be occasional noise.
This lovely little hidden gem of an apartment couldn’t be better situated. It’s surrounded by the trendiest bars and restaurants, great coffee and brunch spots, Practice Yoga, The White Horse and Attabar are right outside your door. This up and coming area of the city is really fun and eclectic.
  • Great host, very easygoing. The house is amazingly decorated and in a great location if you want to stay it that area of Austin.

    Paula2014-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Traveled to Austin for a scouting mission and loved the funky location! The apartment was very comfortable. The big bed was heavenly. In the pictures the twin bed looks so small but it's actually a standard size twin. Our hostess was prompt, helpful and flexible. We had a question about the stove and she sent someone over in 15 minutes to help us!!! Highly recommend this apartment for the price.

    Leann2014-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandria's place was perfect for my Austin trip. I stayed here for an event at the convention center. I parked my car the day I arrived and didn't move it again until I left. The walk to the convention center is a bit over half a mile, and the neighborhood is safe for walking, even for a female alone after dark. If you like the food truck scene, the apartment is well situated, with at least a couple dozen within a few blocks. I ate several meals at various trucks, and all were very good. The apartment is very nice. The king size bed is extra comfortable, and the twin bed is much nicer than it appears in the photos here. I think Alexandria must have added a mattress since the photos were taken. My roommate said it was very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and gets good and hot, which made me happy. We had a couple of requests for Alexandria after we checked in (light bulb, kitchen towels, hand towels), and a simple text message resulted in the items being delivered to us less than an hour later. I highly recommend this apartment if you're staying in Austin for events in the downtown area!

    Chris2015-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandria's apartment is beautiful and cozy. Comfy bed, cold AC's and a hot shower. What more could you ask for? I had no issues whatsoever with the apartment or checking in. I did not get a chance to check out the immediate neighborhood but there appears to be numerous places to eat and drink nearby. Great location with quick access to the highway and just minutes away from the convention center where I was attending a conference. I will bookmark and keep Alexandria's place in mind for future Austin trips!

    Ryan2014-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time at Alexandria's place. It was super clean, really beautifully decorated, comfortable and is located in the most perfect location. Alexandria was super helpful in sending over directions and also some helpful Austin tips. When we come back to Austin, we will definitely be checking to see if this place is available first.

    Kate2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandria was a wonderful host and provided great communication throughout my stay. The apartment was great and makes you feel right at home in a location around numerous restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to all of my friends.

Jason's place was great. Exactly what it looks like in pictures which is really cool. Jason communicated very quickly and easily. Met him one night in passing and he seemed like a very nice guy. We had privacy and the place was very clean. I would absolutely recommend Jason's Spartan anytime!

Listing perfectly represented the space and the backyard was even more beautiful than expected! We were a 15 minute walk away from Congress Bridge and within jumping distance of a handful of cute cafes and veg restaurants. The homey touches such as the ramen, coffee and copious toiletries made the place feel even more like home. Can't recommend this spot enough if you're looking for a place that is accessible to the downtown area.

The house is very pretty and not too far from the Austin Convention Center. Blaine was very communicative and helpful. It was a lovely stay. We had no issues. Linens and towel were all clean and provided. The air mattress inflates well and holds the air pretty well also. Overall, great stay and would recommend to everyone. Thanks, Blaine!
