My house is on a quiet tree lined street only 1 block from the subway. 3 subway lines stop there. Your room comfortably sleeps 3. I'll supply you with fresh towels and sheets. Your bathroom is large and you can take a relaxing bath as well as a shower. You can relax in the backyard and have a nice bbq. Steps away from Sunset Park and trendy Industry City (IC). IC is features rooftop films, different types of cuisines for foodies, rock shows, kids entertainment, and much more.
Your bedroom is 12X12 or 144 sq. feet. It has 2 windows with shutters that look over my backyard. You have a full and twin bed. You get plenty of daylight and can see the sunset from your room. You have plenty of drawer space. You have a closet to hang things up and stow your bags in.I refinished the hardwood floors 2 years ago.
My neighborhood is pretty quiet.I'm 1 Ave away from Industry City. IC is a former shipping and warehouse complex on the Upper New York Bay waterfront. Relax in Sunset Park where you can enjoy breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan. There's a Bowling Alley at the top of my block where you can have fun bowling and drinking an adult beverage or two. 2 blocks from Green-Wood Cemetery (a National Historic Landmark), We have pizza, dinners, Chinese and Spanish, Turkish and Japanese restaurants all within a few blocks. If you get hungry late at night, there's always some place open to eat. And there's always the coffee and bagel shops for the morning. Shopping in Downtown Brooklyn is only 1 stop away at Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center.
  • My friends and I enjoyed our stay here! Skip was very helpful with directions and recommended a lot of good tourist spots. The neighbourhood is also really nice and very close to the subway. The beds were really comfortable and he provided us with anything we needed.

  • Skip is a very sweet host. Gave us a lot of good advises besides how to explore the most fun of NYC and the trouble I met.The room is so cozy. The cats are soooooo adorable! Friendly, a little bit needy, but not annoyed at all! The place is very close to the T, nice and quite neighborhood. Will definitely come to Skip's place again if I visit NYC next time!

  • the house is very nice. it's American style or specificly NYC style! Mr. Karol is a very nice person, he gave us a lot information about NYC. We really appericiate about his kindess

  • We spent a week at Skip's, and we really enjoyed our time. Skip is a very nice personn, funny and friendly. He welcomed us warmly and gave us some good advices about what to do in NY, great places to go out, find LPs and to eat. Even if we were out the most part of the day (and the night ^^), we spent great times speaking with Skip about our travel, sport and a few things. More, the room is cosy, clean and spacious. Skip's house is well situated in Brooklyn, next to the subway and the beautiful view of Sunset Park. And there is an amazing bagel shop at the corner !! More than a host, Skip is becoming a friend and we will visit him for sure for our next NY trip.

  • We really enjoy being at Skippy's house. He is very considerate and kind. Your cats are very cute. It was a unique and special experience. Your Brooklyn home is in a great location. Thank you friend Skippy.

  • I booked the place for my friends and didn't stay here myself, but it sounds pleasant from what my friends told me. The place has two charming and beautiful cats, very friendly. Skip was great to communicate with, and very courteous and accommodating. If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable place to stay in, with subway stations close by, this is very suitable.

    Trina2014-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb Experience we had so far. A warm-hearted host, a beautiful Neighborhood, well connected to any place in Nyc. Coming back after our daily trips felt like coming Home. Thats how an Airbnb-Stay is ment to be. Thank you so much Skip. We will definitely come back.

    Sacha2018-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was really wonderful staying at Skip's place. It was exactly what the picture shows and we had everything we needed. It is extremely close to the metro, making it a very convenient base to explore new York. Skip is a warm and friendly host who has become more of a dear friend. Definitely recommend staying at his place when visiting new York.

Contemporary, spacious, bright and airy one-bedroom apartment located in the heart of Sunset Park, just 25 minutes from Manhattan. Unit offers newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Delicious ethnic food nearby. Walking distance from both a waterfront park and a hillside park with with spectacular views to the city skyline.
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a 2 Family house. The apartment includes a full/double size bed. The designated bedroom has been converted into a walking closet and the kitchen/bedroom area are set in a open plan setup, with a fully stocked kitchen.
Sunset Park is a multicultural neighborhood known for a diverse Latino Community and "Brooklyn Chinatown". We recommend trying "Tacos El Bronco", our favorite Taco spot. Other worthy Mexican restaurants include Tacos Matamoros and Maria's Bistro (try their brunch).
  • Pretty stylish and clean space. Exceeded our expectations and would definitely book again.

Apartment is decorated to be cozy and comfortable. Very quiet and very relaxed. Feel free to cook in the kitchen, relax and watch Netflix in the bedroom. I have plenty of yoga mats for a meditative stretch. Room has a big window. 100 sq ft. Full bed, a dresser, and a closet. 10 min walk from the D,N,R 36 Street stop in Sunset Park. A lot of amazing Mexican food in the area. Grocery stores, bodegas, taco trucks, laundromat one block away. 10 blocks away from a gay bar!!!! It's Brooklyn!!!
Cute little artists' apartment. This is a three bedroom apartment. Two roommates also in the other two rooms. Aaron is 31, works as a personal assistant and is in school to become a doctor, and is never home because he also travels all the time. Very easy going. Beer connoisseur. Trenton is 27 and works a full time job in Media. You will never even know he is here, thus the life of New York. Very down to Earth and relaxed even though his schedule is busier than most. We never bring the party home. Schedules in this apartment have never lined up so you never know who has to work early or who is sleeping. You don't have to tiptoe around, but no raves or music blasting in the night. Two of the best cats in the world live here. So don't be allergic! They are so nice, they do not bite or scratch. And they love to be played with.
This is more of a residential neighborhood. Of course it sounds like a city in the daytime but it is very quiet at night. It is also a very safe neighborhood. Lots of families. A beautiful park with spectacular views only 2 blocks away. Mostly Mexican so amazing Mexican food all over the place. Best taco truck in the city is only 3 blocks away toward the train.
  • Clean and tidy room. Host is very considerate and he prepared everything that guests could need. Cats are so adorable and fun.

    Cindy2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great value stay. Place was fine, area was OK - not much happening there but Industry City (10 mins walk) is super nice and have everything (foods, beers, shops, distillery - beers, ginger ale, craft sake, play arcade, coffee shops, innovation hub, specialty shops, design firm, even co-working space) with cool design concept. And the cats are very friendly, if not needy for pats :) Aaron was not around when we were there but communication was great, no issues.

    Gery2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool, chill neighborhood. Convenient to subway stations and lots of stores and restaurants nearby the apartment. The cats are so nice. One of them even walked me to my room upon my arrival! The room is comfortable and the air conditioning window unit is great during hot summer days. Good detailed check-in instructions, and good communication with the host. I definitely recommend.

    Jimmy2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron’s place was wonderful! The check-in process was a breeze and the apartment is really conveniently located. The room was comfy and the two very sweet cats were a delight. Highly recommend!

    Samantha2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is completely satisfied. Upon arrival, we were waited and perfectly received despite the late arrival. The room has an excellent bed, comfortable mattress. Equipped kitchen, large living room. In the next room there were 2 friendly guys. Aaron was always in touch and answered all questions. I recommend!

    Irina2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect for me, being a solo traveller. Close enough to the subway and there was no specific curfew, as long as you’re quiet and respecting of the hours the other two roommates have. I would stay again, especially to see the two cats again. They were my favorite part of my stay.

    Tatiana2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cats were friendly, the space was clean and very comfortable, and Aaron and his roommates were pleasant to chat with.

    Bryan2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Aaron's place! The room is nice, and the house is clean and stylish (everything the other reviews say about the cats needing to be pet is true). We didn't get to meet Aaron in person and only saw his roommate once or twice, but Aaron gave clear check-in instructions and was easy to communicate with. It's great value for a couple looking for a room with easy access to Brooklyn and Manhattan.

  • Jim and Barbara were great host! It was a such a beautiful home in a really good neighborhood. It was conveniently placed that we didn't have to drive at all to get what we needed! The furthest we had to walk was 15 minutes to get to a store that had something we needed. And we only had the pleasure of meeting Jim, but he went above and beyond helping me and my friend navigate our way around the city to get to our concert! If you're ever staying in new york I 100% recommend Jim and Barbara! It was my first time in the city and this airbnb made a lasting impression. I'm planning on coming back in September and i'm hoping this home will be available.

Sunset Park is one of Brooklyn’s most diverse neighborhoods, where you will find brownstones, Brooklyn’s largest Chinese community, vast Latin American culture, and some cheap rent. Sunset Park is a great piece of land with beautiful views of Manhattan, downtown Brooklyn, and even Staten Island. The neighborhood stretches south from 15th Street at the edge of Park Slope and then runs north to 65th Street. It is bordered by Bay Bridge. Transportation is great in the area, as the neighborhood can be accessed by subway and six bus lines. hopping in Sunset Park is also ethnic. Fifth Avenue is filled with Latin American grocery stores and markets, while Eighth Avenue is the main are for Brooklyn’s Chinatown. Stock up on paper lanterns and every Chinese ingredient imaginable. The main draw of the neighborhood is the namesake park that offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline, Staten Island, and New Jersey. There is a large playground and a popular public swimming pool.
  • First off I never got a towel at the beginning, they didn’t give me the room I booked. And they had a problem with me having a visitor even though no other guest in the house had a problem with it. They never told me anything about them having a problem with it until AFTER the fact that my stay was over and I was supposed to be heading back to my country(which i didn’t) and attempted to suck out my last money I had in my bank account By requesting an additional 120 and having Airbnb contact me for it. Norma is a fake, cold blooded gangster who doesn’t care about her guest.... simply in it for the money. DO NO BOOK IF YOURE FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY SHE WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED AND SHOW NO MERCY!!!!!!

  • Thank you for the great hospitality! The apartment was a great place to stay for the week and was very close to Industry City! I definely recommend staying with Norma!

  • Cherisse's and Patricia's place makes you feel at home. Cherisse was kind, friendly, and attentive. Though I did not get to meet Patricia, the artworks in the apartment by Patricia and Cherisse were amazing!! The apartment is clean, and the rooms are so well designed with fine touches that you would feel as if you were in an art museum. The cats were mellow and sweet. They are very lucky to live in that apartment. I had had trouble falling asleep for weeks, but at Cherisse's and Patricia's place, I slept well and felt recharged. On my day of arrival, I was exhausted because I ran to meet a friend who did not have a local phone, fearing she would have got lost. I was very grateful that Cherisse waited up and helped to check me in. I am also grateful to Cherisse for her hospitality and sharing of culinary knowledge and food. Like what Cherisse said, we, as guests, are part of the art installation. Note that each room is for one person only. If you are fine with this space arrangement, like arts and love cats, then, you would probably fall in love with this place.

    Cy2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I even start. Let’s just say that if you were guided to check out Patricia and Cherisse’s place to stay at on your next trip to New York, you should totally book it! From the moment you walk in to their home it feels as if you’re staying at a close friends home. Cherisse greeted me at the door and she immediately guided me to my room and showed me around, because it was my birthday she also offered me some wine and cantaloupe which was so sweet and generous. I met Patricia later on and she was just as kind and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable throughout my stay. When I say that you must love cats, you MUST love cats! They are such sweet and mellow cats, all they want is some food and love and they will be happy. I love that Cherisse puts lilies and flowers around the home, it gives it such a sweet smelling aroma! Everything is clean and spotless all throughout the home. It was enjoyable to sit at the table with Patricia and Cherisse for breakfast each morning. Cherisse cooks better than most restaurants I go to - that says a lot! I can’t wait to go back. I’ve found my home away from home there in New York with Patricia and Cherisse. They are GREAT hosts that go above and beyond anything you could ever imagine. Not to mention, they are pretty funny too! :) Do yourself a favor and stay with them next time you’re in New York, you won’t regret it!

    Grace2018-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia And Cherisse are THE BEST! Their home is so lovely & they took extra care to make sure I felt comfortable and welcome. Their home is so stylish and they are so thoughtful in how they arrange every room. Cherisse made the best avocado toast I’ve ever had, I’ll never be able to eat it back home again as it won’t be able to live up to her cooking! My bed was made when I got back each day, there was water in my room & beautiful flowers. They also have a really helpful local restaurant booklet with all the menus compiled into it which was so helpful to look through. I felt right at home and could not say enough good things about my stay!

  • Had an incredible stay! The place is beautiful, very well lit and welcoming. The neighborhood is nice with a lot of food options and easy to access. The hosts are AMAZING! Super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Definitely planning to stay here again next time I’m in the city

    Ruchir2019-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • I love their hospitality. Patricia was not there for the first day but her housemate Cherisse welcomed me. Cherisse cooked us breakfast, which I didn't expect when I booked and I was very happy to have meals together with her and another guest. She answered my question with plenty of information. It felt like I was staying in my relatives house. The room was very clean, comfortable and pretty with their artworks. They have 5 cats. Easy access to Manhattan by train. Check-in time is important to them, so you should inform them what time you will arrive.

    Erina2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a good experience to stay at Patricia ‘s place .She and her wonderful roommate Cherisse created a cozy home atmosphere that I felt like I stay with my siblings .I appreciate a lot their caring approach and hospitality .They generously offered me some food they prepared for themselves ,gave me useful advice about exploring the neighborhood and simply were open to communicate. By the way when I made a check out and left their house ,I memorized that had forgotten my charger .Her roommate ,Cherisse kindly brought it to the place was . So ,many many thanks to your both ,beauties !)

  • This is a share house, which is clear from the description. I've stayed in many such as this, and have to say this was the cleanest and quietest. The only downside during my stay was the cold shower. Since there is one shared bath, you probably need to be at the front of the line to get a warm shower.

  • This was my first time in NY and first time using Airbnb . I was traveling for business so after reading the reviews I figured this place would be ok bc I wouldn’t be there long. When the WiFi didn’t work I said “ ok no biggie I can do other things” but then the power went out the first night I was there. Being in a dark room in New York not fun AND I was unable to finish prepping for my event. The power did come back on after about 3 hrs but went out again that morning as I was ironing my suit! I tried to contact the host after arriving to my event and she accused me of using too much electricity?! How!? What?! I had a lamp and the AC unit going that was it!!! That morning was just the AC and the iron! On my third day when the power went out around 3am and I woke up coughing and having trouble breathing I decided to just sleep at the airport. I sent the host messages and didn’t get a response until days later. I’m thankful Airbnb stepped in to compensate me because the host was completely unwilling. I personally would NOT stay here again. But I mean if you don’t need power it is in a good location close to the subway and buses .

Our gorgeous apartment is just two blocks away from Sunset Park, arguably the most beautiful park in New York. It's a big call, but I'm making it. We are three working professionals, me and two of the most lovely guys, and all are welcome in our home!
The bedroom has a full-sized firm mattress on a storage bed, with three shelves in the base. There is a side table with drawer, and a bamboo hanging rack with wooden coat hangers. The living room has a television, and the kitchen has stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, microwave, oven, blender, toaster and other amenities. There is a washer and drier in the apartment.
The neighborhood is Spanish and amazing. It's gentrifying rapidly, but it's still very much a Little Central America!
  • It is a good house. Kirstie was helpful and friendly. I recommend this place.

  • Kirstie is a wonderful host. This is our 4th time in her lovely and well located apartment. We feel comfortable there, and she is generous about sharing her space.

  • Kirstie is a lovely host, easy to talk to and had responded very quick. The place is very clean and cosy. Well located near to train station and markets. It was for sure the best Airbnb i stayed!

  • Helpful and always nice with a bright smile! Thank you for having us - we surely had a blast and were happy to be so well received. Room is small but cozy; worth it for a short visit to NY.

  • Kirstie was a great and welcoming host. She was really helpful in finding the right places to visit and made sure that we have everything we needed during our 2 week stay. The appartment is close to stations for the R and N train that will get you to Manhattan and to a lot of other places easily. The express way right outside the window is rather busy and noisy, but the appartment makes up for that in style and coziness (as you can see in the pictures above). Thanks again, we can only recommend this place!

    Benedikt2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Kirstie's place. Everything was as described. The subway is pretty close, so that is convenient. Kirstie was very helpful in everything. All in all, a great choice.

  • My guest and I enjoyed this place so much! Thank you to Men Yee for hosting her wonderful home. It looks even more stunning in person! This apartment was clean, and included everything that you may possibly need! She included so many helpful notes, travel guide brochures, and maps for her guests which were very handy! I recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting New York, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

    Rania2018-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Men Yee's apartment was absolutely stunning. It was the cleanest Airbnb we have stayed in and we felt right at home. The kitchen is fully stocked as is the bathroom. One night when we were too tired to explore the city, we just played the Nintendo Wii in the apartment. The apartment itself is like an oasis, but the area around it is a little rougher than other parts of Brooklyn. The train station is only 2 blocks away, but with all of the train construction, you sometimes have to get off 8 blocks away from the spot. That said, I would highly recommend Men Yee's space to anyone looking for an affordable and beautiful apartment for their trip to Brooklyn.

    Puneet2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our experience here! Menyee is a fantastic host. She was accommodating, helpful, kind, and very informative. The instructions given were straight forward, the apartment itself was clean and homey, and the amenities really made our trip that much better. Menyee was also helpful when we needed to extend our checkout to later in the day when our flight wasn’t until late that night. The area of the apartment did not feel unsafe to us (4 mid-twenties girls) and we loved how close it was to the subway with easy access into the city. Overall, very comfy and clean and awesome place to stay. Well worth it!

    Elsa2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful Air BNB! Cozy and warm, lots of light, and spotless clean. Great amenities and nice location. The BQE is a bit loud but it’s good if you need white noise to sleep. Very walkable (I was able to walk to the studio I was working at). Men Yee was very responsive and accommodating when I needed to check in early. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

    Jon2018-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very nice and clean. The host is also nice!! If I have to say one thing, it would be the highway noise. Except that, all perfect!

  • Thank you Men and Garmain for your great hospitality. The appartment was renovated ,tidy and as exactly described.Men is highly organized and every thing is in order with notes on the info board within the appartment. Location was perfect with 5 min walk to the subway D line and just beside the bus stop, location is perfect with all the nessecary shops surronding except for the noisy bridge that we get used of after a while. Thanks again Men for your fast response to all our enquires. You are realy super host.

    Yasser2018-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • It’s exactly as described. It’s clean, has all the amenities you could need, it’s a short ride away from Manhattan. MenYee is attentive, polite and responds in minutes to whatever question you might have. She even wrote a guide to help you plan your trip to the city. The apartment has AC, WiFi, Cable TV. The kitchen has everything you might need short of the food. 11/10 better than almost any hotel. Feels like a home away from home

    Adrian2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We just spent a weekend in NY area and stayed at Men Yee's place. Outstanding stay. Exactly as stated, no surprises at all. Very clean, nicely decorated and with awesome little touches. Quick access to Metro, eating places as well. Only one downside was that 4th street has a very loud and busy overpass right in the front of the apartment, which is pretty loud even at night. Otherwise, absolutely no complaint's at all. Everything was A+++

Stunning 1bdr apartment in Sunset Park Brooklyn 4th floor (no elevator) Beautiful view of Manhattan from bedroom window
    Cozy apartment

Industry City - A dynamic ecosystem where diverse innovators, creators, makers, and manufacturers develop, produce, and collaborate daily in Brooklyn 3. Sunset Park - beautiful view to statue of Liberty and downtown Manhattan
  • Comfortable stay but be aware the apartment is on the 4th floor.

  • What worked well - the neighborhood we were in was safe, nice and quiet. Walking distance from the 36th St subway station. Dunkin Donuts was at the end of the block for your coffee/donut fix. The host was kind enough to leave us a brand new box of cereal, bag of oatmeal, and almond milk; we were impressed with that extra touch. What could be improved - It stated in the listing there was air conditioning, but there was none. We looked for a thermostat, an air conditioning window unit, there was none to be found. We cooled the unit with the 2 ceiling fans and opening the windows, but the first 2 nights we had difficulty sleeping due to the heat. Air conditioning is a rather big deal for us when booking in the summer time, we depend on the listings to be accurate. Also, the entry way and stairs looked pretty run down, but we know that isn't the hosts fault.

    Daniel2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • A lil hard finding parking at night but very convenient near the city. Had a lot of little stores down the block. Apartment was clean, had everything you needed and perfect for just two people. View from the window was great.

  • Home away from home! Cherisse and Patricia were both very lovely. I stayed here for a week and could not have been more comfortable! The environment was peaceful and relaxing. They have 5 wonderful cats that are super chill and do their own thing. Cherisse was so kind to make me coffee in the mornings and I got to try out her amazing blueberry pancakes! This airbnb is by far the best experience I've ever had. I came here as a guest and left with 2 friends...and I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks a lot to both of you for making my stay a pleasant and cozy one.

  • This is a great place to stay in New York. It is a very clean space; there are a lot of cats but I didn't mind this. It's about a 20-30 minute subway ride into Manhattan which is not unreasonable. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended overall.

Cherisse is a great host and is always there when you need her, she is friendly. She is very nice and wants to share all she knows about the area and best art galleries of NY. I had a great stay and i would love to book this place again for me whenever i would come back to New York! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

The 36th Street subway station is located within a block away and the commute to Manhattan is fairly quick and convenient. Norma's place is very clean and equipped with toiletries and cooking amenities. I would highly recommend staying there to get a taste of an authentic Brooklyn neighborhood.

The location is very convenient with quick access with train lines to anywhere in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The neighborhood is a gem. This vibrant community bursts with energy and life. The neighborhood is very nice). It’s really close to 36th St Station, which is good but you can hear trains running in the room (it doesn’t bother though). Good price for private room. • Karen's place is lovely, and it was quite a clean and beautiful home. I recommend her place particularly for individuals in town for work. This is a great location for individuals looking to commute to downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo, and Lower Manhattan. She lives in a beautiful quiet neighborhood for running in the morning, and is around the corner from a few very nice and affordable Mexican-American pubs. Given there's only one nearby subway line, commuting into certain neighborhoods, such as Williamsburg, may be a bit tougher - but given its proximity to major throughways, taxis, Lyft, and Uber are all easily accessible, quick, and relatively affordable. Unfortunately I was unable to talk much with the hosts during my stay, but when we did they were incredibly helpful and genuine.

  • I had the most wonderful stay at Karen's and Doug's house. They made me feel very welcome, were really helpful and we had great conversations. All in all, the kindest host one can imagine! Despite the sometimes annoying weather conditions (I stayed for 8 weeks during winter/spring), there was no reason to despair: The room is spacious, clean and bright, as well as warm, with a nice view to the quiet backyard, and the express train stop to Manhattan is just a stone's throw. One also should not skip exploring the nearby neighborhood by foot. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know true New Yorkers!

Our comfortable two bedroom apartment is just located next to Sunset Park in Brooklyn. You can get great view of Manhattan, New Jersey and of course Sunset. A few blocks to 36th Train Terminal for N/D/R Trains. The room is nice for One People..Express Trains in Brooklyn which could bring you to Manhattan within 20mins. But you have to clean up once the kitchen is used. We would always come to the apartment to check if you have any problem(You have your private,we only check if you ask for!)
My apartment is aroud the sunset park, take 3-5mins walk to the park.
  • The apartment is clean and warm, 10 min walking to the subway and right in the middle of the chinese and latino area which can be very interesting. Industry City is closeby for food fairs and vintage markets. Sky answers very fast and very available.

  • The place is awesome in terms of cleanliness. Sky is very responsive and he made us feel like home. He has arranged for every little details amenities that you may need during your stay. Loved it and highly recommend it.

  • Worked great for our trip, definitely not a place to hangout. It’s a clean place to hang your hat for a few hours before you get back to exploring the city.

  • We love AirBnB's because they are a unique flavour of the area you are visiting. This place was a true slice of Brooklyn and I loved being a part of such a vibrant community. The place was clean and in a very safe neighbourhood. Lots of ammenities close by and the subway was just about 800 meters away. It is a VERY noisy neighbourhood....well into the wee small hours...with people and traffic. Great place to stay to get a real NY vibe.

    Holly2018-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, small apartment, close to shops and the subway.

    Bas & Ester2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Super cheap listing for the NYC area. I have stayed in the NYC area In Airbnb ‘s about a total of 6 months over the last couple years and this is by far the worst airbnb experience I have had . Although cheap and highly affordable ( which is why we did not move rentals) this listing went below expectations. We did not expect luxury but we did expect the shower and drain to work properly and for it to be bug free. Twice I saw bugs in the kitchen area. The beds are also hard as rocks . Overall, this place provided us a place to sleep but little else . This place needs an overhaul before guests stay again. I will not stay here again.

    Jessica2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Sky's place in Sunset Park for a few days while our own apartment nearby was under construction. Sky's place is very simple, but it was *spotlessly* clean and had all the basic neccesities. The price is amazing, and the location is convenient to express trains and everything that Sunset Park has to offer. Sky was a great host, too--very friendly and responsive. If you're looking for a bargain in Brooklyn, I'd highly recommend Airbnb-ing with Sky!

    Ellyson2017-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great for us, very good value for money, great stay not far from Manhattan. Nice park nearby. Feel safe to walk in the area (we usually walked to supermarket near 8-9 pm). Thank you, Sky, for prompt replies to any questions. Hope to stay here again one day.

  • We had a really good time during our stay at Dave’s place. Dave and Tina are really helpful and friendly. They also were accommodating concerning arrival and departure time. We really felt at home since the apartment has all the equipment needed and is very clean. It is also well situated with a subway station 5 minutes walking or bus stop just a few meters from the building: easy to go to Manhattan or other parts of Brooklyn. We strongly recommend this address !

  • Dave and Tina are perfect hosts who did their utmost to make our New York stay as agreeable as possible. We would definitely recommend staying their place. The apartment is located in a quiet but perfectly connected area of Brooklyn. It is very beautiful and the private room and bathroom we used are perfect for two friends or a couple. Thanks for everything, Dave and Tina!

  • Tina and David were excellent hosts, and I love staying with them! They were friendly, communicative, helpful, and David went out of his way to make me feel welcome throughout the stay. Their condo is beautiful, clean, and comfortable; with modern niceties like quiet split air conditioners, a washer/dryer, and a good sized sit out with a grill. Tina and David have a place that felt like home to me the month I stayed with them. I will miss them.

    Prithvi2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Dave and Tina's place while our bathroom was being renovated. We felt welcome at all times. They allowed us to bring our elderly and frail cat with us (we kept her in the bedroom); that probably saved her from becoming ill from noise, or the stress of boarding. Dave was out of town, so we dealt with Tina, who was always warm and friendly. I highly recommend this listing!

  • Dave and Tina were amazing hosts ! My boyfriend and I spent a week in their apartment. The place is very clean, cosy and has everything you may need. Dave and Tina are really nice people and very helpful, they gave us good advices about New york and what we should do. They offered to pick us up at the airport and we really appreciated it ;) We wish we could have spend more time with them ! We strongly recommand them to everyone !

  • We booked Dave's and Tina's house for our first visit to New York, about 5-6 nights. The house is just like the photos, a wonderful site in Brooklyn, near 36th subway station. The place was very clean, the bed was confortable and the bed and bathroom clothes were almost new. The bathroom has so many toiletries that you feel like home. To sum up, I would strongly recommed this place to anyone who want to stay at Brooklyn.

First floor apt in a private house. Quiet and nice. Shared small space in the living room but you'll be private. We have a dog. Ideal place for someone that will only be coming to sleep and shower. Near a Very commercial area with a lot of stores and restaurants. Walking distance from IndustryCity. Nearby pier. A few minutes from the Subway Station.
This is a clean and comfortable place for people who want to stay within an hour of Manhattan or within Brooklyn. Good for medical students who are training at NYU Langone Hospital- only a 12 minute walk! A 5 minute walk to the subway station- R/N line, and 15 minutes to the D line on 36th St. Buses are available as well as the water taxi on 58th St. Access to many, many places including newly developed Industry City.
  • The place is quite smaller than expected, it is clean and tidy though. The family is kind and welcoming. I needed a place to stay ASAP and I got it. I recommend it if you don’t mind the warm chat of a family waking you up!

  • Will was an awesome host! It's not a flashy or extravagant apartment, but it's very comfortable. Make sure to read the description because it is only couches and air mattresses available. The location is great! It is a 1 minute walk to the train and it's one stop away from Barclay's Center. Good food places around as well. If you're looking for a simple, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price, Will's apartment is perfect. Great location, comfortable couch, and great host! His dog is also amazing! We booked last minute on a busy weekend, so the price seemed a little steep. However, our options were limited, so it was definitely worth it!

  • We had a very nice stay at William's place. It was conveniently located for our purposes, and particularly ideal if you need to visit Industry city. He was easy to communicate with and the place was very personal and stylish. Would recommend!

    Astrid2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • From the start, the host was great with communication. You can expect quick replies to your questions and messages. He had outstanding hospitality, checked in on us to offer us places to go and sights to see. He had everything neat and organized for us. If you want to know more about the local culture, food, and history he is more than happy to share that with you. There were some problems on my end and he was completely understanding. The place itself is very nice, and the host made sure that it was clean. He was very personable and easy to talk to. Expect nothing less than great from him. Very glad about my choice!

  • William was very responsive. He's a natural with people so he will make your stay comfortable. It was nice chatting with him. The living room, where we slept was comfortable enough after a long walk around NY. The location is super convenient, close to the metro and to Industrial City. Highly recommend staying with him

  • I had a great time staying with William over the last two nights. First of all, William is a gracious and helpful host who made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable. He was also quick to respond to communications and flexible both in terms of check in and check out. Secondly, the apartment is cool, a chill hideaway in a characterful neighborhood in Brooklyn, and very, very close to the subway system. Third, William is a lifelong Brooklynite and New Yorker and has good knowledge of both what's going on now and what has happened over time. It was enjoyable talking to him. Thanks for a great time!

  • Only 6 blocks from subway, super easy distance to the city, about 25 mins. Good neighborhood; we had 3 Girl Scouts with us and they felt safe. Hosts were awesome, on top of things, great communication, we loved our NY bagels!! The girls were thrilled! We would 100% stay again.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is very clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Lots of useful information and well stocked. Totally easy check in and Zach reached out a few times to see if there was anything we needed. It’s a great space for kids with comfy bunk beds, games, and lots of books. Location is also great. Very close to transit. We love the neighborhood—had the best tacos and a great evening spent bowling. All in all, highly recommend!

  • I came from Greece and stayed with Joaquin and Jon for one month. Of all the sites I’ve seen posted on Airbnb and the one apartment I actually stayed prior to living with Joaquin and Jon, their place is without question the best. Really it has been like staying in a five-star hotel. I should know because as a stylist for many well-known people, I have stayed at some of the most elegant hotels in the world. Everything is well appointed from design, to furnishings to amenities – such that indeed makes you feel right at home. Though the pictures on Joaquin’s place on Airbnb are nice, these pictures don’t adequately capture the beauty of this place. This is a truly unique home, with an individual, creative and well-defined, sophisticated sense of aesthetics and design. Joaquin and Jon live on a two-floor duplex. The kitchen/dining room area is beautifully and expertly laid out – perfect for chefs and people who enjoy entertaining. It would be ideal to host a cooking TV show in their kitchen – a new business idea for JoaquinJ The Airbnb quarters are on the second floor where I enjoyed having a generously sized bedroom and modern private bathroom. The bedroom is blessed with three large bay windows that let in a lot of sunlight. The mattress is very firm and comfortable for a restful night of sleep. From the sheets, to the towels to the furnishings, the entire place, including my room and bathroom, are immaculate. I was continually amazed by just how beautifully and expertly designed every corner of the house is no matter where I looked. Joaquin and Jon are very special, kind people who were respectful and solicitous of my needs and concerns. They addressed every issue I raised. Joaquin is an amazing cook, with an amazing sense of aesthetics. He is highly creative with a strong sense of style while at the same time is extremely professional. As an attorney he gave me a lot of advice in relocating here from Greece. Over a short period of time, Joaquin and I became friends – cooking together, shopping and learning about culture and art. We made a habit of talking over coffee every morning. It was a lot of fun sharing Greek cuisine with Joaquin and Jon. In turn, I learned a lot about American sports from Jon, who also was very helpful. I also appreciated how they both respected my privacy. I want to thank Joaquin and Jon for opening up their home and their hearts to me, welcoming me into this country and NYC. I look to continuing my friendship with them. Without reservation, this is the place to stay!!

  • We had such a great time at Joaquin and Jon’s home! They were both super friendly, welcoming and they made us feel at home at their place. Joaquin, who we spent most of our time with, made fresh coffee every morning and was great company. You can count on always having an interesting conversation with him :) the place is beautiful and located on a quiet street just two blocks from the subway, so very easy to get around. This place is perfect if you want to experience New York without being in the middle of the touristy areas. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Joaquin's place is really just a wonderful stay. It is extremely clean and well kept. Most importantly, Joaquin is a very friendly and caring person who is always wearing a smile and does the most that he can to make your enjoyable as it can be. The area is also very convenient with many good food options nearby, a supermarket on the same block, and a park just across the street.
