We have our personal favorites for sit down dinner, fast but great take out, and the perfect taco and tamale stands. The neighborhood can be lively, with music, and sports around the corner at Obregon Park, mariachi music and sometimes live concerts.

There are three homes on the property. Mi Casita is located in the back and it's two stories. The space is completely separate and private from the main house and shares a wall with the second house/tenant. Mi Casita was recently remodeled. It has fresh paint, new flooring, window film/tint, blinds, new drapes and sound proof windows that eliminate city and traffic noise.
East Los Angeles is predominantly Hispanic and slowly becoming more diverse. It's located east of Boyle Heights, south of El Sereno, north of city of Commerce and west of Monterey Park and Montebello. The neighborhood is a lower middle class working community, where friends and family gather. It is centrally located - the proximity to most places is excellent.

East LA is up and coming and remains predominately Hispanic. We're close to Citadel outlet mall, DTLA Arts District, and City Terrace (La Terraza is a great new coffee shop!). My neighbors are friendly and are often celebrating on the weekends with live music; mariachi bands are common in the summer! If you are a light sleeper, my space is not for you.

We have a Target store and a Ross at the end of the block, along with some restaurants, and 2 cafes within walking distance (one is a Starbucks). I can guide you to anything you might need (I grew up in LA and know it very well).

We recently added a air blow up bed that you can put in the living room or any of the bedroom. The airbed can sleep 1 extra person. Extra pillow and Blanket is in the closet! Fresh linen and sheets in the closet. For the environmental and water saving please only change the sheet or use the towel as you needed. Make sure you leave all the used sheet/linen and towels either in the guest bathroom or in the laundry room. That way we know they are dirty and the next guest won't accidentally use them.
