Drone Capture

Drones are great for capturing from a higher vantage point, showcasing the estate or surroundings.

Wide

A wide drone composition typically centers the homes, and provides ample negative space, featuring the location’s surroundings. This composition is great for rural homes with beautiful surroundings, such as lakeside cottages, homes in national parks, beach homes, islands, and more.

Mid

A mid-composition features the home centered or slightly off to one side. However, it always includes enough space around the home so it wont be cropped in Airbnb’s product which is a square in the center of the frame. This is an important distinction as anything outside the square will be cropped, and these exteriors should retain most of the exterior in the square composition.

Tight

A tight composition can be great for homes in more residential areas, because showing a wider composition may showcase other homes, which isn’t ideal. A tight shot is usually centered and straight-on, however, if a straight-on composition isn’t attainable, an angled composition can work. In most cases, the tight shot will have space around the home, however in Airbnb’s square crop in product, it will crop some of the exterior. This is important to note, as we want this to be considered when capturing.
