We can’t know when a major conflict may erupt or where a natural disaster may hit. In times of crisis, though, Airbnb.org wants to be there to help people find a place to stay. Your support helps us fill this critical need.

In 2022, Airbnb.org’s Hosts, donors, partners and referral entities joined forces to help hundreds of thousands of people displaced by conflicts and natural disasters—our biggest year to date:
140,000+
Guests housed in 2022
Guests included people fleeing Ukraine, Afghan refugees, and people in the US displaced by natural disasters.
1.5 Million
Free night stays
From 2012 until today, Airbnb.org programs have housed a total of 250,000 guests.
112
Organizations we worked with
In 2022, 112 organizations, including nonprofits and government agencies, tapped into Airbnb.org’s global Host community to support people in times of crisis.
100% of your donation will go toward connecting Airbnb.org guests with free short-term housing.
How does donating work?
Stays are completely free for guests of our program. Airbnb.org never takes a cut, so every dollar you donate helps people find housing when they need it most.
Is my donation tax deductible?

A global network of support
Airbnb.org works with nonprofits that connect people to temporary housing, resources, and support in times of crisis. We share a similar purpose: to help those who may fall through the gaps when a crisis occurs.
In 2022, Community Sponsorship Hub helped people form “sponsor circles” to welcome and support Afghan refugees, many of whom stayed with Airbnb.org Hosts when they arrived in the US.
