Speaker: Susan Meiselas
Susan Meiselas (1948), US photographer and president of the Magnum Foundation, documents conflicts that often do not penetrate the consciousness of the world public. With the help of her camera, she captures moments that tell of the darker sides of our existence and provide greater visibility to marginalized groups. She is considered a pioneer for politically engaged photographers and all those who pursue a collaborative approach with their protagonists. As part of her talk at the ‘C/O Berlin Open House’, Susan Meiselas will show photographs of unexpected and moving moments captured for her photographic projects.
