Loved waking up and falling asleep to the epic views of Lake Superior at Tranquilo. The moon reflecting off the water was something else in early May. Everything inside and out was well thought out, creating an atmosphere of inner peace and relaxation. Close to great restaurants and entertainment in town, close to great hikes. I had an excellent getaway.

The perfect northern cabin along the lake. The details were all just right, the cabin was so clean and the sauna was easy to operate and use. Such a quiet and peaceful spot. The only note is that the bed seems a bit worn. It was quite lumpy and difficult to get comfortable on. Maybe time for an upgrade? Other than that there isn’t a thing I’d change!!

Absolutely a hidden gem of Minnesota. Bought this weekend get away for my boyfriend and I, and we absolutely adored it. The host was great at communicating, and was very responsive. The place itself is so quiet you could hear a pin drop inside, but is an 8 minute drive from a pier and city. They had everything one could need for a weekend but probably wouldn’t stay for a longer trip. The sauna was great, and super clean, but is a manual sauna to start. (Something to think about). They provided kindling and plenty of wood, and was easy to start with the instructions provided. Overall a 9/10. Definitely Recommend!

This beautiful cabin was a slice of heaven for the two days we were there. The view is UNMATCHED! I sat at the cozy table & the cozy couch and just stared at the water all day. We had bald eagles & deer to keep us company. It was cozy and just what we needed. We will be back again in July for a longer stay! Great hosts and fabulous property! Thank you!

The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way—stunning views, excellent amenities, spotless cleanliness, and a perfect location just minutes from downtown Grand Marais. We had an incredible time up north and truly enjoyed returning to such a comfortable and welcoming cabin to relax at the end of each day. Can’t wait until next year to stay at Agua Norte!

Agua Norte was an absolutely stunning place for us to stay for our North Shore weekend vacation! The Scandinavian-inspired architecture, natural lighting, open layout, and 180 degree view of Lake Superior was everything we needed and more for a relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to return!
