Autentic sailing tour aboard s/y Merak to the Devil's saddle

This experience is not the usual, commercial tour where you will feel like a dumb passenger on a boat powered by an engine!!! With us, you will experience a real hands-on sailing tour on a fast cruiser-racer sailboat, a Beneteau First 33.7. This boat has a vast sail wardrobe which allows us to reach the most beautiful coves of the area under sail, either in a light breeze or in more windy conditions: we guarantee the engine will be used only in absence of wind; and, best of all, Paolo, the experienced skipper, will show you how to steer and trim the sails. When we meet, Paolo will explain some basic safety rules, and then we will start the tour. The suggested destination is the "Devil's Saddle" promontory, so called after an old legend. We will drop anchor to swim in crystal clear waters in a wonderful cove, and, during the summer, will swim with you to discover the secret “Purple Cave”. While sailing, you will admire breathtaking landscapes and cliffs, which will be described in details. If we are lucky, dolphins will follow us during the navigation! Generally, the morning experience is gifted with light winds, making it ideal for a stopover in calm waters (which is ideal for swimmers), whereas the afternoon tour is ideal for sailing in stronger winds. In case of wavy seas, anchoring and swimming might be not possible due to safety reasons.

Sea kayak and snorkeling wild Cagliari

Take a break from the bustle of the city, there is a fantastic world just around the corner! After a short briefing we first snake around huge boulders while the white limestone cliff gets higher and higher and the water takes every shade of blue. It is here that we realize that there's not a better way to explore this breathtaking corner than easily sitting on a kayak. On our route we find small beaches cutted into the cliff, bunkers of the second world war, caves and different kind of birds. Our destination is a sandy little beach, quite difficult to reach by foot because set into the rock, where we can stretch our legs and wear our snorkeling kits, there's another world to explore! On our way back we change perspective and our attention is captured by details that we had not noticed before, enjoying every single meter. Civilization is waiting for us, the good thing is that now we can have a well deserved drink!

Discovering Cagliari by the sea

We will leave with our sail boat from the port of Cagliari to discover the other side of the city, with its coves and the splendid Sella del Diavolo, under which to taste the "Aperitivo dell'Armatrice" offered by the house and take a dip in the crystal clear waters. During the trip I will tell you a bit of history of the city, of our life on the boat, of the myth of the devil under the saddle. And let's not forget that you can have fun maneuvering the boat with the help of our captain : D Other things to note We are in a sailboat and therefore the timing and stops will be affected by the wind and marine weather.

Visit Cagliari with an Ape

sit comfortably, pampered by the crackling of the bee engine, ready to wedge yourself through the streets of the historic center. Yes: the streets are often narrow and some are unknown to most: the bee is the ideal way to learn about and discover a different city, otherwise, perhaps, invisible. Mrs. Marcella and her wonderful gardens in the Villanova district, the lord of the castle's capers , the residences of the old Spanish bourgeoisie and many viewpoints where to take fabulous pictures: just to mention a few things that will accompany us. We will visit the historic center (and the beaches if you like): we are not a driver and a passenger. I would like to share with you the luck of living these places. You will come back from this experience with many photos, a coffee in your stomach, several laughs and with the wonderful feeling of having lived Cagliari not as a consumer but as a traveler. Please consider that: if you want to visit old town but also beach area..book for two hours and then notice me! Cagliari Cooking Class (handmade pasta)

We will do all the step to make the perfect culurgionis: from pasta making to cooking the meal: - pasta making (each person have his own bunch of flour) and will be able to make his own pasta dough, having the possibilities to handle the difference between each pasta. - stuffing preparation and tasting (peel potato, mix ingredients, taste) All ingredients will be place on the table and everybody will mix and taste and compare to the each others. A competition the will be a fun way to know the real flavor - closing culurgiones Once you learn closing colurgionis you will never forget..but to learn it's up to you, your patience, your concentration and you abilities. - drink wine (drinking and cooking always come togheter) and we always have to taste a good Sardinian white and a good Sardinian red - lunch/dinner together (with starters & wines) Once we are set up the table and put starters, we are ready to enjoy our work and have a typical Italian/Sardinian meal - pasta to take away (if you like and if you don't eat all) Other things to note Please advise about intolleance/allergic problem or other request on food. This experience is great for groups and for teams; a competition or challenge for making the best culurgiones or to guess the ingredients is some of the "tips" i used sometimes to make a great experience for team-building; Super funny also for kids

Let’s go to the Market!!

We’ll visit Cagliari’s most important market and enjoy the taste of local products, meet our fishmongers, butchers, dairy and fruit & veg merchants, and discover together some truly Sardinian gastronomic traditions. I will let you discover and taste some typical products and almond-based desserts. The visit will end with a gourmet tasting of ham and cheeses, at one of the Market’s stands. The visit to the market and tasting will take about 1,5 hours. Other things to note Please let me know in advance if you have any allergies or food intolerances. If you can’t schedule a visit on a preferred day and time, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I suggest to get to Market by foot or taxi as there aren’t many parking spots in the area.

Cagliari Segway Sightseeing Tour

After a couple of minutes of training session to familiarize yourselves with the Segway, the tour of the city begins. It will take you around historical buildings, museums and breathtaking locations. What differentiates this tour from the others and makes it entertaining and unforgettable at the same time, is the use of segway which allows you to edge your way through the most hidden and fascinating alleys of the old city. Our guided tour focuses on all the artistic treasures which you will admire in total safety and with minimal effort. The route includes regular pauses for picture-taking at the highest and most beautiful points of the city. After a few minutes of driving the Segway, you will be mesmerized by the feeling you are flying over the pavement; the most difficult part of the tour will be to hop off the machine at the end! Art Workshop Drawing and Printing Your Idea in Color

Colour relief print art workshop on paper. Each guest will make a small edition of at least 2 copies, on paper with an original print. The workshop is for people ages 7-100. This is a unique experience that takes place in my shared art studio, and we will be using the materials and all the professional tools specific to the relevant printing. It is open to those who are interested in expressing themselves with a manual and portable art technique that consists of the engraving of an adigraf matrix. No particular artistic skill is required. The workshop introduces the highlight printing technique, its short story, and the materials you need to put it into practice. Each guest will process their personal project on paper and then transfer it to the matrix with the use of scrubs. The machined array will be printed on paper through a roller . Everyone will have the ability to print in one or more colors, creating multiple and unique prints. Other things to keep in mind The highlight press workshop is an opportunity to experience the city and get inside its community of artists.

Guided Wine&Food Tasting with a Sommelier!

We will have a Gourmet Aperitivo and guided wine tasting at one of the most cosy and elegant Restaurant -Wine shop in Cagliari. Here we will taste 3 different wines, among some of the most representative of Sardinia’s territory, like classic Cannonau, Vermentino and Bovale, wisely paired with local cheeses charcuterie and bread. During the event, I will unveil to you the charming stories about the producers and their wines, tell you about our food and wine traditions and lead you through the guided tasting experience. I will describe you the wines main features and help you to recognise scents and tastes, while giving you pairing advices. This experience lasts about 1h - 1h and a half. If you prefer to have the experience at noon, don't hesitate to ask! Other things to note This experience is also available at lunchtime too. Please let me know if you have any special food requirements, allergies or intolerances. We can cater for vegetarians. Please specify if you would like a veggie option. From Milk to Cheese!

We will visit one of the most important dairy farm of the Cagliari area, very well known for the quality and variety of their products which earned them lots of prices at national and international cheese fairs and festivals. I will tell you about the founder’s story and his innovative ideas. We will attend to all the productive stages of their most famous cheeses and understand how it’s possible to get such wonderful and tasty specialties from simple milk! We will also visit the stock area, where thousands of cheeses wheels are stored. The visit will end with a cheese tasting, paired with a good glass of wine. The visit, workshop and tasting will take about 2h. If you are not equipped with a personal car, I invite you to contact me to find a solution. Other things to note In ordere to get to the tasting room you need to go up two staircases. The service does not include transport to reach the dairy.
