“This place is conveniently located if you want to go hiking/climbing on trails like Nevis Peak or The Source. When staying there, it is a good idea to have a car, especially if you want to visit the many beaches. If you don't have one, you can also arrive with the public bus and a couple of minutes walking uphill. Cynthia and Derek were very friendly and accomodating. Everything was clean and even better than expected. If you like having a very local experience with great views, this is it. I would definitely stay again.”
Casnel, is located at the base of the magnificent Nevis Peak mountain. Its location provides a spectacular view of the sister island St. Kitts just some 20 minutes via the sea bridge. Strategically placed for easy access to key hotels; exotic eating hot spots; scuba diving; biking; hiking; beaching; golfing and horse back riding which are between 5 - 10 minutes drive away. Whatever your background, Carnel will be home to you and your family while staying in the Queen of the Caribees - Nevis.
“Anelda is super friendly, you can’t get a better value on the island, and there’s even AC in the main bedroom! The space is lovely and full of character, and I felt like all my needs were anticipated. Getting there was the only (slightly!) tricky part but that seems to be every house on Nevis as far as I can tell, as it’s such a small island the locals rarely use formal addresses. Anelda ended up giving me directions to her street and then led me to the house. I would recommend getting a car while you’re there - Anelda can help set it up if needed and is very easy to coordinate with. I’d also recommend visiting Chrishi beach while you’re there - it’s probably about a 5 min drive away, is a beautiful beach, and rarely crowded!”
Our Turtle Beach Cottage is right on the beach! Fabulous views to our sister island of Nevis, the ocean and reef! Watch pelicans dive, sting rays leap and turtles bobbing their head up to catch a breath! Curious vervet monkeys may pay a visit, morning doves wake you with their quiet cooing and yellow crested night herons perch in our mangrove trees. Peace and quiet minutes away from excellent restaurants and activities. Beach combing easy walks and great hikes in our area.
“This property and stay were even better than my husband and I could have imagined! It was our honeymoon and the bed had flowers upon arrival and Ricky gave us Prosecco and two glasses. It was such a wonderful arrival to St. Kitts. The view is absolutely spectacular—unbeatable compared to some of the resorts around the island, and to mostly have it all to ourselves was the cherry on top. The beach was one of the highlights of our trip—we went snorkeling at least five times during our weeklong stay and saw more and more each time we went out. The property has sunscreen, tanning oil, bug spray (which you will definitely need), and fins, as well as water toys! There are great restaurants around as well. The Pavilion was our favorite, make sure you go there!! And breakfast at The Great House on our last morning was incredible! It was the best way to end our trip. We also went on a few hikes, one was suggested by Penny in her guidebook (which we referenced multiple times a day, it was amazing to have on hand!). My husband and I agreed that this was the best location on the island. We enjoyed all of our trips out (even to the grocery store), driving on the winding road with unbelievable scenic views! Penny and Ricky were attentive and thoughtful and responded quickly to our needs. Thank you so much for making our first trip together such an amazing one!”
