Unique things to do in Bordeaux

Go off to explore the lovely medieval village of Saint-Emilion, listed as World Heritage Site by Unesco, and visit two wineries (a top winery classified Grand Cru Classé and a family-run estate Grand Cru) during a 5 hours guided tour with me, a fun & knowledgeable local guide speaking English. Your tour includes 2 wineries visit (introduction about the history of the estate and technical informations about how to make the wine), 5 wines tasting minimum in total and a French aperitif (cheese, cured meat & bread at the 1° or 2nd winery) OR sweet specialities from Bordeaux macaroons from Saint-Emilion & cannelés depending on the day of the visit. I will drive through the vineyard of Saint-Emilion in my van and we will visit together the famous medieval village dating from the Middle Age. The wine tours are in English & French. I offer 2 wines tours : morning (8.30am-1.15pm) & afternoon (1.30pm-6.30pm) The meeting point is in Bordeaux at : 1 place de stalingrad, in front of LCL Bank (with a beautiful view of the bridge :)) Make sure to have breakfast or lunch before ! (only small portions of cheese, cured meat, chocolate & crackers will be served at the first or second winery OR Macaroons & cannelés in the village of saint-emilion). During the high season I organize the tour with my co-host Emmanuel.

All food is included :) Hygienic measures : group of 10 people maximum. Hydroalcoholic gel before and after each tasting ! Sexy platter of charcuterie and cheese, best cannelés in town and we had to try them all to make a choice (our job is so hard haha), fresh oyster, our best burger, amazing foccacia and some sweet surprises too ! Come and discover the specificities and unique characteristics of Bordeaux wines through our selection of 3 typical wines of the left bank of Garonne river, right bank and the exceptional terroirs of Bordeaux. During this experience, your hosts, Pierre and Geoffroy, cellar men, but also brothers, will introduce you to the main characteristics of Bordeaux vineyard in a fun and accessible way. We will tell you the history of the vineyard since the arrival of the Romans until today. We introduce you to the art of tasting with simple words and explanations. We aim at showing how accessible wine tasting can be when you get told good tips. During this tasting you can also eat our selection of cheese and ham from beautiful Basque country. The history of Bordeaux wine and the art of tasting will have no more secret to you.

We will start by showing you around, not just any place! Enter one of the most emblematic cellars of Bordeaux, steeped in history and founded in 1973. Explore some 2,000 references in the company of your host, who will take the opportunity to give you a presentation of the different appellations of Bordeaux. End the visit by entering our "Petit Paradis" and admire the collection of vintages available to you. Once the visit is over, we will start tasting 2 or 3 wines depending on the formula chosen. You will have the possibility to select yourself the appellations you want to taste. Then let yourself be guided by your senses and the words of your host. Savor this moment and become an expert in Bordeaux wines!

Join me as we eat our way across Bordeaux's best boulangeries (bakeries), all of which are recipients of French culinary awards. Each bakery is in a different, vibrant neighbourhood of Bordeaux and along the way I'll share with you its history and my own personal experiences of the neighbourhood. A sweet visit to discover Bordeaux with indulgence! The city center of Bordeaux is full of architectural jewels but also ... sweet specialties, to taste at any time of the day! I suggest you follow me for 2 hours in the city center of Bordeaux to taste 4 sweet specialties from the Girondine capital, each made in a traditional way and with respect for the products ... and your taste buds! We will start our tour by a visit to the big Capucins market by meeting producers and discovering all Bordeaux delicacy , than we will follow our path to Saint Michel neighborhood to the discovery of the best antiques shops. If exhibit let us to, we will also visit a secret art gallery with a private tour. Our adventures will end by a aperitif – probably a glass of wine – and maybe a lunch together to continue our chat.

Let's meet at LA GROSSE CLOCHE in cours victor hugo to begin a large visit around the old Bordeaux I'll introduce you history, tips and tricks to discover my city and the soul of south west lifestyle as a local. After my beloved area: St Michel , Ste Croix a romantic quarter, we'll have a stroll in "the belly of Bordeaux": this amazing market call The Capucin's. In the capucin"s central market , we'll discover a special atmospher and learn about local specialities, pastries, restaurants... We could talk about your stay, to visit the best of the city and many informations about other things to,do around : wine tours, the dune in Arcachon, or st Emilion.. Time to exchange some good adresses and personnalize your travel. And share a good moment together in tasting good things :-) I'm looking forward to meet you soon! La séance est adaptée à tous les niveaux, on commence avec des postures faciles puis j'ajoute des options pour les plus expérimentés. Au programme : Exercices de respiration, prise de conscience abdominale, et enchainement des exercices spécifiques au Pilates. Il est possible que nous utilisions du matériel à disposition à la salle. Pour clore la séance je vous propose 15 minutes de méditation guidée et la dégustation de délicieux macarons autour d'un thé . Autres remarques Il n'est pas indispensable d'avoir déjà pratiqué le Pilates pour faire cette séance. Le cours s'adapte à tous et à toutes.

Making your own cuvée of Bordeaux wine will be a very special moment : you will experience the tasting of 3 different types of wine from the left bank of Garonne river, the right bank and the Graves. Those 3 groups are the most typical ones from Bordeaux vineyard, of international renown. During the first part of this experience, your hosts, Pierre and Geoffroy, cellar men, but also brothers, will introduce you to the main characteristics of Bordeaux vineyard in a fun and accessible way. In the second part of your journey, they will teach you how to become a real Winemaker! You will make your own wine, by mixing your own blend using different grape varieties. Thanks to this atypical class, you will get to discover emblematic grape varieties of Bordeaux vineyard and even the art of blending your own cuvée. You will get help and explanations at every step of your creation so that you get the chance to take your precious nectar home. If you're motivated, you will even get to label and close your bottle yourself!

The idea here is to bring you to love Bordeaux as much as we do. With that aim at view, we elaborated a pretty complete journey throughout the city, that allows you to dive onto the medieval city center, then to escape it by taking some fresh air along the river, and to finally sink into the history of wine and get lost in the heart of the neighborhoods modern beginnings. From historic districts to more modern urban developments, there will be something for everyone! Other things to note In case of rain, we always try to find a solution : either we kindly offer you nice colorful ponchos to protect you from getting too wet, or we'll try to find another suitable time to do the tour with you.

Board with one of the pinardiers, Simon or Claire, and initiate yourself to wine tasting in all simplicity! You will discover 4 Grand Cru wines of Bordeaux , one white and three reds . We will guide you through the steps of a tasting, then we will let you express yourself freely on your impressions, before explaining the history, blending and appellation of each wine. The tasting will be accompanied by charcuterie and cheese.

I will teach you how to make dough brioche, and then shaping in its various forms: brioche molded to share, braided brioche, brioche individual head or sugar, and galette kings bordelaise. And during the shoot we can make a chocolate mousse irresistibly greedy.

Je vous accueillerai chez moi pour vous apprendre à réaliser un banoffee. Ce dessert original et gourmand se compose d'un biscuit pour la base, de confiture de lait, de bananes et d'une chantilly maison. Individuellement, vous réaliserez vous-même chacune des étapes de ce dessert jusqu'à l'apprentissage de différentes techniques de pochage de la chantilly. Le cours se terminera par la dégustation d'un banoffee tous ensemble et vous pourrez repartir avec votre banoffee individuel pour le faire déguster à votre entourage.
