Vacation rentals in Ballymacwilliam Lower

We had high expectations due to the great reviews, and we were still blown away. The house, the surroundings, but especially all the little details that were thought of made our stay truly special. (We don’t want to give too much away, but just the welcome alone felt far beyond an ordinary Airbnb) We could completely relax and switch off. The breakfast basket filled with farm products was the cherry on top. This was truly the most beautiful Airbnb we’ve stayed in, with so much love for detail. Thank you, Claire, for your warm hospitality and for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely couple of nights in the cottage. Despite the other properties being full we didn't hear anyone - it was very peaceful. The facilities were good though we didn't make the most of the grounds or tennis court on account of the awful weather. Quite content to stay snuggled up inside. A 12 minute drive to Clonakilty.

We had a fantastic stay in Clonakilty at Camilla’s place! The apartment was spotless and welcoming, complete with delightful yogurt and treats upon our arrival. It was wonderfully spacious, and the kitchen was perfect for quick meals, especially with a grocery store conveniently located next door. Camilla ensured our privacy throughout our stay, promptly responding to any needs we had. The charm of the place made our visit even more special. We loved that everything was within walking distance—attending Mass at the Catholic Church across the street, enjoying music events at the historical De Barras, and savoring traditional Irish meals. Plus, parking was easy and plentiful. The washer and dryer were a great bonus! We highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone visiting the area.

Lucy and Andy were really kind and helpful before and during our stay. My sister and I stayed here as a respite during our travels. The location felt very remote but there were towns within 25 minutes from us. There was a lovely little coffee shop down the street! The central heating was not very warm so we were cold without lighting a fire and in the evening but they tried to accommodate us.

We enjoyed the very best of times at Pete and Tara's warm and cosy cabin. And this was in mid November! They were a lovely family...very friendly and helpful. The cabin is beautifully constructed with everything to hand. We loved the views over the fields towards Inchadony and I enjoyed cycling daily on a circular ride through Clonakilty and back beside the tidal marshes which were alive with wading birds like Oyster Catchers and Curlews. I am sure we will be back!

This is such a sweet place. Just as cozy and lovely as advertised. We never actually met Gilly( we were out and bout early) but her husband met us at the door and had a lovely fire going. He gave us a complete tour and answered any questions. This was by far the most prepared and accommodating lodging we had during our 18-day trip. A bonus was the fresh eggs from their farm! Thank you, Gilly and Richard. I wish we could have tried one of your meals but our plans were too unsettled to commit. I am sure they are lovely.

Really enjoyed the Stone Stables, which was a perfect location for us within walking distance to Clonakilty. It was comfortable for a couple, but would have been quote close quarters. We really appreciated having all the basics and some luxuries like a teapot, milk, and a loaf of bread with butter and jam.

We had a wonderful stay at Annette’s place while exploring West Cork. The Barn is a good size for a couple and it was lovely to relax with the wood burner on after a day out and about. Annette was a fabulous host making sure everything was alright for us and giving us great recommendations of places to visit. We especially enjoyed our day exploring Mizen Head and then stopping off at Crookhaven for a salmon sandwich lunch at O’Sullivan’s. The Fish Basket at Long Strand after a walk on the beach and Kinsale with lovely little independent shops and lunch at The Lemon Leaf were also lovely days. Annette suggested we take the scenic route to Kinsale along the stunning coastline. Too many beautiful beaches to mention but local Inchydoney is worth a visit. Thank you Annette for everything!

A beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings.Two seated ateas downstairs, one in an open plan kitchen with chairs gathered around the fire which was great for cooking and chatting. The view from the garden was magical and we enjoyed watching some spectacular night skies from there. Only a 10 minute drive into Clonakilty. The cottage was well-equipped and really lovely.
