This will be the perfect moment to start a pleasant, soft hike in Montserrat National Park to discover the geology and nature of the mountain. You will discover the secrets of Montserrat Monastery and Hike the Natural Park Off the Beathen Path with a passionate local guide in a small group (max 8 pax) HIGHLIGHTS - Guided visit to the monastery with a specialized local guide - Early tour to beat the crowds - Hike the magical mountain >Off the Beaten Path (3h - 5,5km/3,5 milles hike with 300 m/1000 feet of elevation gain). - Discover the local flora & fauna. - Enjoy free time at the monastery after the hike. DESCRIPTION After 1 hour drive on a AC minivan, we will arrive to Montserrat. We will start the day visiting the Benedictine abbey before the crowds arrive. We will continue until one of my favourite spots, from where we will have 360 degrees views over the multi-peaked rocky range and in clear days we would be able to see the Pyrenees. You’ll be welcomed into my opened kitchen and lush garden to master the fine art of cooking the perfect paella, following my grandmother’s recipe. I'll explain how to prepare it and will share with you some stories around that traditional dish. We are going to cook, enjoy wine, tapas and a delicious meal together whilst I give you an insight into one of the most coveted recipes in the world. Experience wine making in the heart of the Catalan countryside in the picturesque Anoia region at this family-run boutique winery. We’ll pick you up at Capellades train station* (or in central Barcelona where possible) so you can discover this little-known region of Catalonia. We start our visit by walking through the vineyards to learn about how we work the vineyards, all the while discovering our heritage and history. You will then become the main protagonists of this experience as we enter the wine cellar. You will learn how wine is made before blending your very own wine; an activity you’ll love and then get to enjoy again with your family and friends when you return home with your very own bottle. You’ll then get to taste our organic wines as we prepare a simple picnic in the middle of the vineyards, which will include a range of delicious local products such as olive oil from our own olive trees, tomatoes from our garden, cheeses, sausages and other products from local farmers.
