Take the Northbound train from West End Station to Five Points, then a quick transfer to the Westbound line for one stop to the State Farm Arena/GWCC Station. The train station is literally inside the arena complex. 🍴 Pro-Tips for Your Visit: • Mobile Entry: I Encourage you to download the Hawks or State Farm Arena app, as the venue is entirely paperless for tickets and payments. • I encourage you to Avoid the Deck: Parking in the State Farm Drive since Parking Lot can be expensive during events. I always recommend rideshare or MARTA to save time and stress. • Arrive Early: For concerts or big games, security lines can get long. The main campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology occupies part of Midtown Atlanta, primarily bordered by 10th Street to the north, North Avenue to the south, and, with the exception of Tech Square, the Downtown Connector to the East, placing it well in sight of the Atlanta skyline. In 1996, the campus was the site of the athletes' village and a venue for a number of athletic events for the 1996 Summer Olympics. The construction of the Olympic Village, along with subsequent gentrification of the surrounding areas, significantly changed the campus. The Georgia Tech campus is located in Midtown, an area north of downtown Atlanta. Although a number of skyscrapers (most visibly AT&T Midtown Center, One Coca-Cola Plaza, and Bank of America Plaza) are visible from all points on campus, the campus itself has few buildings over four stories and has a great deal of greenery. This gives it a distinctly suburban atmosphere quite different from other Atlanta campuses such as that of Georgia State University.

Our Dekalb Farmer's Market is worth the trip out to the far side of Decatur. They have all types of produce, fresh meat, a bakery, premade salads and culture galore. A majority of the people working there are immigrants from all over the world. Their name tags list the languages they can speak and the flags of the world hang from the ceiling. Don't go on Sunday, though, it's packed and you'll just circle the parking lot. They don't accept credit cards.

This was created to commemorate the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. There is a splash pad, play grounds, grass to lounge on, and lots of space to walk around and see the skyline from down below. The green spaces of the park connect many of the other sites to see in Atlanta so you are sure to end up there if you do anything remotely touristy nearby our place. It is directly beside the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, The Civil and Human Rights Museum, the College Football Hall of Fame Museum and much more. There are restaurants around this area as well that can be reached by foot.

The Events: In addition to it’s weekly music series, Centennial Olympic Park hosts large, popular annual festivals and events including the Sweetwater420 Festival, Shaky Knees Music Festival, 4th of July Celebration, Holiday in Lights and Ice Skating Rink and more. The Splash: Not only is it one of the most sophisticated fountains in the world, the Fountain of Rings is also the world’s largest interactive fountain to incorporate the Olympic Rings symbol. Children of all ages play in the Fountain and enjoy the synchronized water and music program where water dances to familiar tunes complete with sound and lighting effects. It’s free to view the Fountain of Rings show, which plays four times a day, 365 days a year, at 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. The History: The Audio Walking Tour, which is available on our mobile website, provides an opportunity for visitors to experience the Park at their convenience. At their own pace, visitors can enjoy and learn about Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park and the continued legacy of the 1996 Olympic Games. 30,000+ Acre state park. There is so much to do here! Tons of walking and hiking trails, petting zoo, putt-putt golf, boating, fishing, camping, golf, ropes course, dinosaur exhibit and an ever changing events calendar. There is a fee to park or you can walk in for free.

You can hike up the mountain. Very popular to do for locals and out of town visitors. Takes about 30-45 mins to hike up with 2 breaks (depending on fitness level). Amazing breeze and views of all areas of Atlanta. Laser show nightly as well as lakes, walking trails, picnic tables etc. Admission is $20.00 for the day. If you will visit regularly its just $40.00 for yearly pass. Most activities are free.

We take a short 10 min drive to Stone Mountain several times per week to hike to the summit. In the summer, the best time to go is early morning or early evening. The view is beautiful all year and it's an excellent lower body hike. Take lots of water and plenty of breaks to catch your breath on the way up!

Wonderful quiet, mature neighborhood, a 7-minute drive from historic Stone Mountain Park and Stone Mountain village. Convenient to parks, quaint shops, hiking trails, convenience stores, grocery stores and restaurants. The Honeycomb Hideout is close to Stone Mountain freeway (Highway 78), which connects to all interstates around Atlanta. MARTA public transportation buses and trains are close by. Bike to Stone Mountain park or drive to the entrance for a hike up the mountain.

A covered pedestrian bridge over the creek connects the walking trail that begins in Old Mill Park to the Chattahoochee River trail system. The bridge and waterfall are favorite spots for amateur and professional photographers.
