Lissette is a great host: everything was in perfect order when we arrived, and she provided parking and entry instructions on the day that we arrived. The studio was very clean!
The studio is located next to the main home, where Lissette and her family live. The door to the studio has a keypad lock, and Lissette simply provided us the code to enter. She did not need to be home at the time of our arrival. We met her later that evening, after we did some grocery shopping and got some take-out after our long journey from The Netherlands. She is a very kind person and I think she'll do anything to make your stay a good one. We did not need Lissette for anything during our stay, as her preparation was meticulous and the condition of the studio was excellent.
We immediately felt welcome: Lissette provided complimentary bottled water (cooled in the mini fridge), all the necessities (towels, toilet paper, etc) and some paper plates and plastic cutlery for eating any purchased food. The provided microwave oven worked perfectly. The shower is great: a large shower head with a LOT of water pressure. The temperature was easily controlled. The bathroom is not big, but it is definitely sufficient. The bed is comfortable and not too soft. There are four pillows, so everyone can make it as fluffy or padded as they wish.
A trashcan is provided, and can be emptied in the large trash container in the backyard. Of course, there are recycling containers too, so the environmentally minded folks can do their part.
The neighborhood is quiet and Lissette's studio is not located on a through-road, so there is hardly any traffic that comes by the house. I found the neighborhood to be pleasant to take a jog through. The people were friendly and everyone I encountered greeted me kindly.
There is lots to do in close proximity: shopping, nature walks, boating, the beach, etc.
The wi-fi at the studio works very well and is fast. Lissette provides instructions on its use in the studio itself, so there is no need for her to be present before you can use it. There is also a television which we did not use, with a Chromecast connected to it so that you can watch Youtube on the TV (or anything else that is Chromecast-enabled).
I asked Lissette what we needed to do or clean when we ready to leave, but she has it all covered: you simply go. She takes care of the rest.
All-in-all, we had a great time at Lissette's studio and we'll come back if we're traveling to this part of the USA again.
