The studio is quite large for a studio- bigger than some 1 BRs. There is a full, well stocked kitchen with AlClad cookware and a very large and comfortable memory foam bed. The water was hot. The location is GREAT. It is right in the midsts of the old counter-culture part of the Village. LOTS of great places to eat nearby. Very easy to get to- 2 subway stations within a couple of blocks, others nearby. Even Williamsburg is only about 15 min. via the L train. There are also frequent busses.
The only thing that might give some people pause are the four flights of stairs, although my wife and I are in our 60s and they seemed to get easier during the week we were there. The apartment and building were secure and much quieter than you'd expect for the location.
We had a problem with a bathtub faucet handle, but Kyle sent someone over to replace it almost immediately. Communication with him was easy and effective. We never met Kyle, but he's an excellent host. The St. Mark's Market right across the street, combined with a full kitchen makes it easy to cook breakfast in the mornings, thus saving a lot of $$$ (although there are tons of places nearby). This apartment was perfect for that true East Village experience.
