For this room, think BIG!
We didn't spend much time at the property itself because we used it as a launch point to experience the incredible Florida Keys. This (largest) room we stayed in is truly huge, has 2 small walk-in closets and an en-suite bathroom, also itself exceptionally big with jack-and-jill sinks and a big shower (no bathtub). Room is slightly rustic with concrete floors, but the bed is big and comfy. Leslie set up a portable twin bed for our 6-year old but in truth the regular bed is so big that all 3 of us could sleep in it comfortably.
The house was built many years ago and feels bomb-proof! (There were two other smaller rooms on the same floor that the family rents out and they looked nice (we peeked). The air conditioner in each bedroom works by remote control, and worked fine, but if you like it super-super cold, you might want to look at the smaller rooms, as this room is so big that the A/C is just adequate to get you to 72-74. (The rest of the house is not A/C controlled but the construction is such that the house stays reasonably cool inside even without A/C.)
Property has a lovely, lovely outdoor area with a table and lawn chairs, etc., right on the Gulf of Mexico. Bring bug spray because the mosquitoes on the Keys are pretty hardcore. Enjoyable place to stay!
