Greeted by Yosvany's sister, we felt instantly welcome to this beautiful place. Warm smiles, yummy cold lemonade, easy flow and conversation, comfortable sofas to relax in and gorgeous views of Malecon at sunset were just some of the first things to notice.
Our bed was comfortable, bathroom and room clean and beautiful, fridge stoked up with water and drinks, and we had a good night sleep, lulled by the distant songs of Saturday night on Malecon. Our room was on the small side, but plenty for the one night we spent there, and we had very little luggage with us.
The neighborhood is our favorite in town, Centro Habana, where you immerse yourself in real Habana with real Habaneros. Doesn't get any better! We were on a mission to shoot some photos and video, and had a fantastic time doing that, both in the house, and in the adjacent streets, aided by a crew of local kids, fruit vendors, an aging boxing champion, a bicitaxi driver and a flower seller. Unforgettable!
We met Yosvany the next morning, and although brief, it was a pleasure. Hope we visit longer next time.
