Having lived on both US Coasts and abroad twice, I value the experience of travel, meeting new people, seeing new things and traveling in unique ways. I was an airbnb host for a little over a year when I lived in Boston. Now back in California, I don't have space to be a host, but will enjoy traveling as a guest with airbnb!
It was a pleasure to stay with Annie, who made us feel welcome and at ease in her cozy, central apartment. Although we didn’t know the exact time we would arrive, she left simple instructions for us to pick up the keys - and gave us a wealth of parking tips. The room itself is small but charming, and you’re more likely to be awoken by twittering birds than urban hustle and bustle. Best of all, it’s within easy walking distance of Boston’s big sights.
April 2010My stay with Annie was great! I stayed over just for about 12 hours as I had an early morning interview, and the spot was perfect. Walking distance to downtown and a beautiful walk at that. Annie's place looks just like it was plucked right out of Sunset magazine, and she was very helpful in terms of figuring out how to get around, going above and beyond what I had hoped or expected. Thanks a ton!
t'was great. Just enough room. Annie was so flexible about me coming in on the day I booked (My travel plans fell through), and a very welcoming hostess. The area was perfect and Annie was so helpful with her insights on Boston. The area is within a short walk of tons of stuff, and in a really cool historical building. An awesome place to stay if you're in Boston.
Annie's cozy apartment is in a great neighborhood convenient to all center city amenities - with good restaurants and the Whole Foods Market nearby. She was very helpful - meeting us to drop off the key, and giving us directions to the nearest parking garage.
Annie was fun to talk with...we stayed to see a celtics game. the apartment was clean, everything worked, it was advertised perfect.....she has an awesome centrally located apartment in boston perfect for quincy's market, the aqaurium, or any of the 50 pubs.....she was a down to earth hostess with the mostess....lol :) thanks a bunch....
Annie's place is lovely! The room was clean and she was very helpful. She gave many recommendations, guide books and maps. Beacon Hill is the best neighborhood in Boston and Annie's place is the best room!
Annie lives in probably the cutest neighborhood in Boston. Her apartment is adorable, clean and had everything we needed. She was extremely helpful with suggestions, how to get around, etc. The four flights of stairs was definitely a work out, but totally worth it!
Wonderful location. The apartment was clean. Annie was very helpful from the first moment. She was not during our stay, but she responded to all our questions. She did more than what we expected, for instance she left a map with her recommendations. Very recommendable. We had a great time in Boston. Thanks Annie!!
Great location! It's really convenient. The room is very cute, and the apartment is very cozy. Perfect for our short stay in Boston. Annie is a great host and had everything clean and ready for us. Thanks for making us feel like home!
The place had a great location and was clean. The only thing that surprised us were the huge stairs that he had to climb to get to the place. About Annie, she was always very professional, kind and helpful. She made a big effort to make us feel like home.
With a gracious host, fantastic location, and comfortable flat, I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Boston. Communication was very efficient and Annie even left work to meet us on short notice so we could leave our luggage. Could not have expected more. We had a such a lovely time- thanks Annie! :)
A top-notch location, a cute apartment, a very comfortable bed, home-made cookies to die for, nice conversations with a very interesting host -- what more could one wish for? Oh I know: less rain :-)
Annie was a great host. Although she was not there during my stay, Annie made sure I had everything I needed for the weekend. Her apartment was comfortable and cozy -- perfect for my short stay in Boston. Highly recommended. Thanks again!
Annie is a wonderful host. Very friendly and helpful. Her apt is perfect for your stay, within walking distance to pretty much all of Boston's top sites. Only 5 min walk away from the Commons and tons of shops. I would stay here again for sure.
Annie's appartment is just perfect ! Very cozy and in a beautiful area. She is a fantastic host, friendly and helpful (giving parking maps, restaurant recommandations...). So nice that you feel like home ! I would definitely recommend or come back again.
Annie is a lovely person: generous and gracious. Her apt is clean, simple and in a great location. We encountered some difficulty with our flights and she was helpful in adjusting our arrangements, helping de-stress the situation. I'd hope to stay with her if in Boston again. Thanks, Annie!
Annie's apartment was very cute and cozy, and even though she wasn't there during my stay, I felt well-taken care of and quite comfortable. This was my first AirBnB experience, and I was completely satisfied with my experience. Annie was great to communicate with before I got there, and she even went to the length of overnighting her keys to me. If I ever find myself in Boston again, I know I'll be calling Annie!
Staying with Annie was GREAT! She was more than you would expect of a host. She even made itineries for us and bought us some beer to try. Annies place is right in the middle of the cute area of Beacon Hill. We definately recommend to stay with her!
Annie was gracious and well prepared: guidebooks, restaurant recommendations, T-maps, etc. The bedroom location on the top floor meant I could safely leave the window open and enjoy the fresh air. I look forward to a return visit.
Our visit to Boston was fantastic and the foundation for it was Annie's. She is a wonderful host, very friendly, and very helpful. Make sure to get her restaurant recommendations because they're great. Towels were provided, her house was kept very clean, and we made use of her TV and DVD collection in the evenings. I will mention that you do have to walk up 4-5 flights of stairs, but this wasn't a big deal for us.
Excellent location, charming room, and wonderful (respectful) hostess who even offered a pass to an art museum. Towels and toiletries were laid out and the place was clean. Quiet, historic neighborhood with easy access to public transportation. I would definitely recommend or come back again!
Annie was a fantastic host! Being in town for the Marathon, she was very warm and inviting, making us feel very comfortable during, a what could have been nerve-racking, weekend! She even wrote me directions to the start! A great first experience with AirBnB! Thanks again, Annie!
Annie was a great host, she gave us lots of recommendations (for Boston and many other places in the US). Her house is cozy, beautiful, plus clean and tidy. Beacon Hill is a great area, anything you can need or want to see in Boston is nearby.
Annie]s really considerate and very gracious. She'd make a great guest as well as a great host - especially considering she's in the hospitality industry! Two thumbs up.
