Great place! Very clean and comfortable. I loved the layout of the place and entertainment center was great. We enjoyed watching a couple of movies! Located close by to Lake Merritt and within walking distance of a lot of great places in Oakland. Leah and Gyorgy were both very accommodating and super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who would love to enjoy both the wonderful sights of Oakland and also San Francisco, which is a short hop over with the BART.

We had a great stay at Leah & Gyorgy's studio! They are wonderful people - Leah even picked us up so we didn't have to take the bus. They are full of suggestions for local restaurants, and if they invite you up for a Hungarian dinner make sure you accept! Delicious! Our very first time with Airbnb is a great success ! Leah & Gyorgy were perfect hosts who went out of their way to ensure everything was good for us. We will stay in touch. Their studio is in a safe neighbourhood, 15 min easy&safe walk from BART (19t h street, direct to SF in 15-20 minutes). It is beautifully furnished with style, and we were confortable there for 5 nights, a nice base to visit SF. Staying at Leah and Gyorgy's lovely studio is like staying at the home of a dear friend. Every need was thought of, every convenience provided. But more than that, these were people who I would gladly entertain in my own home. They're interesting, warm, and thoughtful in every way. I can't say enough good about my experience with them.

Four stars - would have been five had the bed been higher (easier to get in and out of) and the john had a bathtub. But they were upfront about these matters, which may have only been of consequence to old fogeys like us. The main point is the host couple are very helpful, generous people, interesting and kind and we felt almost like part of the community staying with them. Leah and Gyorgy could not have been better hosts! Their studio was comfortable, complete, and quite roomy with a great view of the garden patio outside. They were welcoming, kind, very helpful, and along with Sighmon the cat, made me feel quite at home! I would stay with them again on my next trip to the east bay area!

Convenient and comfortable accommodations in a pretty, residential corner of Oakland near lovely Lake Merritt. The studio was a huge space to spread out with a narrow kitchen area to make breakfast. They provided maps, guide books, snacks, movies, wi-fi; we were all set. We ate at Coach Sushi, a recommended resturant nearby and loved this as well.

We were totally delighted with our stay at Leah and Gyorgy's. This was our first trip to Oakland and we found the accommodating more than adequate. We found the neighborhood to be quiet and beautiful, close to where our son lives, and easily accessible to San Francisco.The studio was comfortable ( we slept very well)and well supplied with whatever we could possible need and more. We would not hesitate to highly recommend the studio and will gladly return.

Highest possible recommendation. The apartment is exceptionally well prepared with everything that weary travelers need and the hosts are super helpful and exceptionally pleasant. There is absolutely no reason to ever plan a trip to Oakland that involves a hotel if this place is available. In fact, we liked it so much we moved in across the street!

I arranged for my son and his fiance to stay with Leah and Gyorgy for their six-day visit. When their flight was cancelled and delayed for a day, L & G graciously offered to let them stay an extra night, with no additional charge. They did everything possible to make them feel welcome. Leah and Gyorgy proved themselves to be the most delightful hosts for our extended stay. They are charming, thoughtful and engaging. The studio is welcoming, conveniently located, and comfortable. The hospitality extended was both generous and gracious. My parents came to visit and stayed at Leah and Gyorgy's lovely, lovely studio. I live in the area and find the neighborhood to be peaceful and quiet, yet very accessible to both San Francisco and delightful places in the East Bay. Leah and Gyorgy were fantastic hosts, my parents were superbly comfortable, and it worked out well all around! Highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at Leah and Gyorgy's was top-notch. The location was convenient and the accommodations comfortable and well-appointed, but what really stood out for us were the hosts themselves. They were incredibly gracious and generous, and went out of their way to make sure we got the most out of our stay. We really enjoyed getting to know them, and at the same time we had our privacy when we wanted it. We'd highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I were absolutely thrilled with our stay. The studio is located on a quiet street which is close to great cafes and Whole Foods. Leah and Gyorgy are fantastic hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. You will not regret staying here - it is a little slice of paradise in the Bay Area.

Leah and Gyorgy couldn't have made our stay more comfortable! The studio came ready with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. As far as location goes, you can't beat this place: Whole Foods and 7/11 are a block away, Lake Merritt is just a three blocks away, and the BART station is a 10-minute walk! Leah and Gyorgy were fabulous host! I definitely will stay here again.

The studio has great style and is really comfortable to stay in. The location is also great. Lake Merritt was pleasant to walk around and San Francisco is just a quick hop over the bridge. My hosts were an absolute delight who really made me feel at home. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
