  Jerry's place was really charming and sweet and we had a wonderful time there! The wood-fired hot tub was a definite highlight. I will say that it truly is rustic...no electricity means no hot water you don't heat up yourself, best be a good fire builder/tender, and bring LOTS of candles because the cabin is in deep woods and it gets very dark.   This was an amazing little hideout in a gorgeous part of Oregon--we spent a whole day just exploring the woods and river and luxuriating in the spring-fed, wood-fired hot tub! It's a short drive to some of the state's best old-growth forests and not much farther to Breitenbush Hot Springs. Just remember that you are sharing your space with the woods and be diligent to hide your food from the mice!

  Jerry's cabin is real deal country woods Oregon. The local wilderness offers some of the best of the Cascades range. The cabin is tidy and well kept, and an ideal size for the solo traveler, cozy for couples. If you take full advantage of the offerings -- hot tub, kayaks, etc. -- the $125/nite price is not unreasonable.

  We enjoyed our stay at this charming and cozy cabin, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic escape from the city. The living-off-the-grid arrangements took some adjustment at first, but we were quite comfortable. Nearby restaurant choices are limited, if you decide not to cook at the cabin.
