I'm a queer beekeeper living in the Southern hippie paradise that is Carrboro. I love cooking, gardening, and playing with my 2 cats. One day I hope to have enough disposable income to do some more traveling, especially in Scandinavia.

I'm a laid-back host - after all, how much formality can there be in renting out a couch? Only two musts for coming to stay with me: LGBTQ-friendliness and not being deathly allergic to cats. An adventurous attitude and an appreciation for good food are also much appreciated.

Catherine was a great host- her place is clean and comfortable, she provided some nice recommendations in Carrboro/Chapel Hill and was pleasant to chat with. She hit the right mix of being personable and welcoming but also giving some space.

My partner and I stayed with Catherine for one night so we could drive into Carrboro for a concert (at Cat's Cradle). The location was perfect- within walking distance to the venue & downtown area, and Catherine was an excellent host. She really made every effort to make sure our needs were met and though we didn't have too much time to really chat we felt welcome and safe. I've known Catherine for many years from our time at UNC-Chapel Hill. I recently stayed with her while moving. She's very kind, friendly, and laid-back. Her cats are very cute and friendly. Brief warning if you aren't firm with them they will try to snuggle with you at night. Her couch is very comfortable and firm. I wouldn't suggest it for someone over 6ft.
