  We enjoyed our stay so much. It is in a great neighborhood, close to great breweries and restarants. Everything was clean and comfortable. Monroe was a great host. I love how "green" this space is....the chickens, landscape, herb garden, rain barrels, clothes line, & compost. Very nice to see people care about the Earth.

  We stayed in Monroe's 'garagement' with our two girls (3.5 and 1) and had a blast! The apartment is a funky place in a great neighborhood (West Asheville) with a very generous host -Monroe made sure there were fresh eggs from his chickens and honey from his bees (yum!) And since we arrived late the first night, he made sure there was bread, cream cheese and OJ. Needless to say the chickens were a hit with our girls!   Monroe's space is even more lovely in person! The bed was really comfortable, the rugs were gorgeous, and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and fully equipped. He made sure we had everything we needed and was a delight to deal with. Monroe's home is located in a very safe neighborhood and is within walking distance of plenty of wonderful stores/cafe's/restaurants. Would absolutely recommend!

  Our first airbnb stay! Great looking apartment and good location. All in all, very easy. And I've got to say, the most nicely built and cleanest chicken coop I've ever seen in a back yard.

  The fact that this place is a converted garage is what makes it really cool! The cool, clean, cement floor gives it a retro feel and the design of the whole place is smart and cozy. It's really a full-on apartment with all the amenities you would need including laundry! Monroe is kind and very helpful.   Monroe was fantastic! If this is hospitality southern style, well I am ready to return! The studio was perfect for my needs. It is very nicely decorated and has all the necessary amenities. I had perfect privacy and yet Monroe was available my text or email for any needed advice or recommendations. West Asheville was a treat with super coffee and great food.

  Monroe -- we loved your place.. Always wanted to live in a garage apt and your place is just "Perfect"..... You were great -- giving us the honey from your bees and access to the fresh herbs! The fresh herbs were so good with our fresh eggs from your chickens! The chickens were cute too! Also - wanted to mention - your decor was just perfect! I would recommend to all! We visited several airbnb's on our trip and you have the best BED of all!

  We just needed a comfortable place to stay the night and Monroe provided exactly what we needed. Lovely converted space that was perfect for us. They were gracious hosts and provided for our needs while giving us privacy and personal space to relax. Lovely sitting porch and comfortable accomodations. All with the unexpected pleasure of wonderful neighbors and attention to green living. We would love to have stayed longer just to sit and take in the calm atmosphere. Thanks for a great stay.
