  Great experience!! The cabin was very cozy and filled with all the amenities for a relaxing stay. Short drive to Big Bear ski slopes and they have plenty of snow. We already look forward to our return.

  The cabin looks great inside and out. It is definitely roomy, clean, modern and almost everything fully in stock. We had a very relaxing time. We usually stay closer to town when we stay in Big Bear. This is the first time we stayed in this area. However, Bear Mountain was only a short drive away; especially, using the back road where there was little to no traffic.   We had a lovely, relaxed time at the log home. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and everything was well-maintained. Well-stocked kitchen plus ample blankets etc. In a few words..." well just like a home away from home." We arrived late around 10 pm and were a bit confused in the dark when we actually passed the entrance on the dirt road, but no problem...our host Bill Saumier was so gracious and helpful even though it was late at night and talked us through to the correct...   The cabin was clean and nice, but unfortunately, not what we expected. There weren't any trees anywhere near the cabin; only desert landscaping/brush, and the "lake" was either emptied or dried up, so nothing of beauty in sight or out any window. If this is a yearly occurrence, then the rates should reflect that. We looked at other cabins in town and on the water, and for the money, we would have preferred to stay in the cabins where someone cleaned your place daily and brought you fresh... More »

  Enjoyed staying this cabin! My daughter absolutely loved room upstairs and having a whole cabin just for two of us. This place was very clean, and felt like a "home". The host kindly followed up with emails with my questions prior to my stay, and also VERY patient when I needed direction to get to this location. The cabin located away from city itself, so it was nice and quiet to relax and enjoy our mini vacation.

  Nice place! Great second floor loft area with view of Baldwin Lake and the beautiful moonrise over the mountains from the upstairs bedroom. 1 hour drive to Deep Creek Hot Springs in Apple Valley, and worth the hike in and back out/up again! (website hidden) for directions -- GPS was worthless!

  Great place to stay! The cabin is beautiful and well equipped. Bill is is very responsive to phone calls and emails, and he is very informative about the area and conditions. I definitely recommend the place, and I'll be going back again.
