We are a couple with kids, from Lisbon, where we've lived all our life. We love to travel, and we have been in lots of different places. We've also used apartments instead of hotels in different trips we've made.
We are lucky to have a beautiful historical apartment in the center of Lisbon that we just renovated over the past year and a half. All things were planned in maximum detail, and we think we've managed to make it as we imagined.
The apartment was supposed to be used only by our family and friends, but one of those friends told us about Airbnb. We went to check it out, and we have decided to try it. When free, we are opening up the apartment for short rentals. We are doing this for the fun of it - we have always liked to host - and for the spirit of the site of getting people together, enjoying this kind of experiences that makes travelling so much more interesting.
You know what? We are liking it a lot, mostly because we have been very lucky with our guests.
We are new here since August 2011, but it looks like we have been doing this for a long time :)
