Hey, I'm Magdalena!

Member Since July 2011

I like my life, except for some moments when I'm overworked or when my kids are ill. Other than that it's ok.

I guess my existance would be much tougher without people I like, food I like, music I like, my mobile, my computer and my car.

I like making acquaintances and visiting places. They might be both: my nextdoor neighbours or people from the other end of the world. As long as I learn something about them and their life it's no matter where they live.

-Books-
There are books from my childhood that I love and read again now that I'm the mum. These are: "Winnie the Pooh", "The Six Bullerby Children" and most of all "Anne of Green Gables". And the books of my adult life like "Gone with the Wind" or "Crime and Punishment" which I'm gonna reread once I stop reading to the kids.

-Films-
The list of the films I like would be too long so let's put it that way: anything with Meryl Streep will do.

-Music-
It's difficult to categorize my musical tastes. I listen to the variety of genres from classical to pop music. I guess what is impossible to bare for me is contemporary pop music with few exeptions of Bjork or Radiohead. I think the music of the 90s is what I'm sentimental about and think it is so good as it is genuine.

-Food-
There are days I don't really have time to concentrate on what I eat or what I'd fency eating. I like traditional Polish cuisine because it's something I've always eaten but every now and then I like experiencing on other tastes or at least include new exotic ingridients in old dishes.

-Travelling-
I usually travel with my husband and kids. We go skiing in the winter and try to visit some foreign country each summer. We have our own venue in the Polish mountains where we spend few days every year just lazying.

My latest motto is: "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" by Neale Donald Walsch.
