In Brief:
I am a recent transplant to San Diego county from Pensacola, Florida. In short, I am really enjoying Carlsbad and the reprieve from the heat and humidity in Florida.
I hold interest in many things, but mainly I spend my spare time near the beach: If there is surf, i'm paddling out. If no surf, the next best thing would be a run along the coast. I also enjoy reading, travelogues and memoirs have been the genre of choice lately.

I had such a sweet awesome time here!!!!! I LOVE D staying with Chris! He was an exceptional host!!!! His place is perfect, it's in my favorite area of Carlsbad..... right at the beach & walking distance from downtown, the village. Chris is a fantastic host. Attentive, friendly and very helpful. Location is awesome, walking distance from the coast and what beautiful Californian coast it is. This part of San Diego (Carlsbad,Leucadia,Encinitas) has a great vibe.

Chris was so nice. The bed and towels were clean. Bed and room was very comfortable. He was very helpful in anyway, but we were gone alot so didn't need much.

Chris was a wonderful host. We truly felt at home in his seaside house. The room and ensuite were very homely and the bed was extremely comfortable. Chris is a fantastic guy - we had several (read: lots of) beers together and had some great conversation about travelling, music and surfing. Chris a terrific host! Friendly, laid back, and easy to get along with. The room is very comfortable and clean, with a private bath. And the location just can't be beat - just a block from the beach!

Chris was a perfect host. I had a great time. I easily walked to the beach and local shops. I also had a good bit of work to do on the Internet. His wifi handled my huge load easily. Great host and great place to stay. I highly recommend.

Chris was the perfect host - giving me a walking tour of the area and the best places to see and be. He's easy going and a great person. The room and bed were comfortable, and the area is quiet yet close to the beach and cafes.

We only stayed with Chris for one night, but we really felt like we got to know him. He is a wonderful and outgoing host, who immediately puts his guests at ease and makes them feel at home. Carlsbad is also a lovely little city with really friendly people and beautiful beaches. We absolutely loved it and next time when we come there, we'll know just the place to stay. I’ve known Chris for a few years now, as he is my boyfriend’s best friend. He’s an extremely sweet guy, very down to earth, always up for conversation and a fun time. He loves showing off Carlsbad and will give some great recommendations of where to go while you’re there. Their apartment is in a great, quaint location, while still in walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants, and bars. I have know Chris for about 19 years now. Can't say enough good things about him... and his roommate Rohan. Went to visit him in Carlsbad over the Memorial weekend and had the best time. The city is amazing. One block from the beach with the surf right at your front door, who could ask for more. Carlsbad is a great place to live. The weather is unparalleled. Chris and I have been good friends for half of our lives. I had a blast when I went to visit he and Rohan--the usual occupant of the room--in Carlsbad before Rohan went overseas. You can't beat the location: a mere block or two from the beach (which I thought they were grossly exaggerating about) and a short walk from Carlsbad Village. Chris is my best friend/roommate, and the room for rent is mine - as I am currently serving overseas. The area we live in around Carlsbad is as beautiful as the weather. A block from the beach and only a few blocks from the "village." The room is great with its own bathroom, and all the furniture is new. Chris is more than accommodating and is just a good good guy.
