I traveled from Venezuela to NYC to take a course for a few days and I chose Nana's house for two reasons. First the event that I attended was on the corner, but the second reason was definitely her online reputation, so I thought a lot of people would not be wrong about the same person. I really do not know where to start on how amazing Nana and the accommodation were on my 10 day trip to the "Big Apple". Nana's apartment is beautiful and the view of the city from the windows as a gentle wind rolled in was amazing. The bedroom was very comfortable and the Bathroom Shower after a day or night on the town was to die for. Nana is a very warm host. She welcomed me with hot Greek humberg and fresh salad. Though we spent about an hour, I know she is very well-educated person. The apartment is confortable, except without a bath tub. And I had a dozen of incredible tiny silver flies in the kitchen and the bath room. Unfortunately I coudln't find a insecticide there.

Yes, tiny flies appeared one day and have since disappeared completely never to be seen again. We do not use chemical insecticides in the apartment.

We had a lovely stay! Beautiful home, very peaceful and relaxing. Everything was immaculate - the kitchen was wonderful, bathrooms, everything - we appreciated the washer/dryer as well. The sunroom is the star of the show! Couldn't pry ourselves out of that room to save our lives. The house is SO quiet - great for sleeping. Lots of gorgeous windows. Didn't use the jacuzzi, woodstove or fireplace (it was too warm during our stay) but all looked lovely. We'd rebook in an INSTANT!... More »

Nana was a great host! The apartment is really clean, well kept and very comfortable. I was there in August, so the air conditioning in the bedroom was an enormous relief. The apartment is really well located, so it is easy to get to pretty much anywhere in Manhattan. Thanks Nana! I really hope to get the chance to stay with you again.

This house was the perfect getaway from the crazy city and the host was very helpful. Not only was the house beautiful, spacious, with a jacuzzi and fireplace but the lake is right outside just a few steps from the back of the house. The lake is very clean and most of the time, it felt like we were the only ones there. I recommend a short drive over to Guido's Market for some really great fresh organic groceries and meats/fish. Nana created a very flexible and friendly experience and the place in NYC was very comfortable and quiet.

Nana was a wonderful host and has a beautiful house. The house is all about the terrific sunroom and deck, which overlooks the lake through just enough woods to make you feel like you are lost in time...Its quite far away from everything and has a great stereo system, a terrific huge master bedroom with a fiureplace and a beauitful big jacuzzi bathtub. We very much enjoyed staying there.

What a wonderful stay. I had breakfast & coffee on the roof in the mornings and watched the sun go down in the evenings… then the lights of New York twinkled in the distance. I used to go running in the morning as the apartment is only blocks away from The Hudson. Bleeker Street and The Village were also so close. It was the New York experience that I wanted. To live like a local… and Nana's apartment allowed me to do that.
