Married for 35 years and have been an empty nester for three years. Our children who are 9 years apart are in constant contact. Is there a greater reward? Have been with Airbnb for almost three years. As a 59 year old am athletic, love to read, calculate, cook and am a practioner in the healing arts. My husband and I eat well but we like our wine also.

My instincts were correct in choosing Evelyn's place to stay on this trip. Her cozy, tidy and ever-so-welcoming home could not have been more perfect. She and her husband Lawrence were as kind as can be. Evelyn served us an incredible breakfast omelet, fresh croissant, espresso and offered even more for breakfast! The ultimate AiRBNB experience !!! it doesn't get better than this-first the location is terrific,quiet but close to parks and State St. for a wide selection of restaurants.The room is beautifully appointed and has a private bathroom.A really nice feature is that although part of the house,it has a private entrance and doors that separate you from the rest of the house.So the amount of interaction with the hosts apart from breakfast is up to you.The breakfasts are healthy with great coffee... Evelyn and her husband Lawrence have created a total oasis. It is serene, spotless and all is designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Evelyn is the most gracious and thoughtful hostess and this translates into creating a safe, convenient and superbly relaxing environment. The best thing of all is that Evelyn and I found out we share the same birthday and I think we discovered a great new friendship! Truly a lovely, beautiful place to find bliss! Suzan

Really enjoyed my stay here! Came out for a show at the Santa Barbara bowl, quick 10 minute walk to the venue. Evelyn was very helpful in recommending things to do and places to see in the area. Great accommodations, very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely recommend to others.

Evelyn was a great host, very warm and hospitable. The house was beautiful with a modern, clean bedroom and bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable with soft, quality sheets. The bathroom had nice ammenities. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and their backyard was beautiful with a serene, peaceful setting. My stay at Evelyn was wonderful, l was welcomed in like family . It was within walking distance to downtown. The backyard was so beautiful and peaceful. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, I got the most comfortable sleep away from home. Anytime I go back to Santa Barbara I will for sure stay there again. Thank you so much, it was a great experience.

My husband and I stayed one night with Evelyn and Lawrence. It was our first airbnb experience and it was perfect. Evelyn's home is lovely and in an excellant location close to everything. I'm sorry we didn't have a longer stay so to get to know our hosts better but we will be back!

Evelyn and her husband Lawrence are great hosts! Chris and I had a wonderful stay in Santa Barbara during our west coast trip down to LA. And unfortunately too short because the house owns a very relaxed atmosphere and the rooms has the most comfy bed we had since we started our trip. Evelyn shared tips about Santa Barbara and gave the best recommendations for dinner!
