  We had a great time! Very nice apartment, young & lively area, very central and good public transport nearby. Cindy took great care of us, was very helpful & caring! We highly recommend it!

  Location perfect. Elevator in building. Oven sets off smoke alarm , hot water streams constantly from bath faucet and several windows with broken latches. safety concern that window won't lock with fire escape. Got several very itchy, swollen insect bites that showed up 3 times in morning.

  The apartment is well sited in the Lower East Side with only 3 minutes walk away to the next Subway (Delancey Street). We loved the neighbourhood - it must be one of the most developing boroughs to date. The apartment suites well for a couple like us. People that are not comfortable with old buildings usual for NYC might be a little bit irritated about the outlook in only two patios which makes the apartment a little bit dark.   We stayed for 7 nights at Cindy's apartment in April 2012. The good. The area that the apartment is located in is up and coming and fairly trendy with lots of small bars, restaurants, coffee shops and arty boutiques. The buildings are old and a bit grimy but that will probably improve with time. Giorgio and Denise were very helpful and responded to all requests promptly.   Cindy's son Giorgio was always very prompt with communication and very accommodating. The apartment is perfectly situated on the Lower East Side- close to vibrant areas of the city and yet almost no street noise reaches the bedroom- perfect! I did notice the dog barking continuously that another review mentioned- it wasn't bothersome, but concerned me for the animal's welfare.   My parents were staying at Cindys place for a a little more than a week and enjoyed the place as well as the neighbourhood a lot. They only complain were the softness of the couch but there was not much time in New York to sit down anyway. I can recommend this place any time.

  Cindy was a great host and made the whole process really simple from booking to checkout. The location is fantastic. The only downsides are that the bathroom and the furniture aren't very comfortable... but really, if you're visiting NYC properly, you shouldn't be spending a lot of time there, so it was a minor inconvenience for us.

  I love the Lower East, probably the most vibrant fun place to be in NYC - especially when visiting for short jaunts. I found Cindy's place online and it was in a great location, near some excellent bars, cafes and restaurants. Very easy to get around, a short run to the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges if feeling brave. The place itself was great. I didn't meet Cindy, but met Denise who kept in touch over email to make sure all was well. It was.

  Staying here was really easy - I emailed Cindy literally while I was landing at the airport because my hotel reservation had fallen through. Her place was not available the first night I was in town, but she set up a reservation at a close by hotel with a good rate which was above and beyond in my mind. I stayed at her place the following 2 nights and it was really easy. Getting the keys and "checking in" was painless and the location was perfect - short walk to the subway, great food... More »
