Mel was an absolute star! You couldn't ask for a better host. She gave us full tips for the city for us & our friends. Her place is fabulous & in a great location. SHE is fabulous, easy going, super knowledgable, & friendly. I can't say enough good things about Mel & hope she comes to England so we can repay the amazing hospitality. Thank you so much Mel. We had an awesome time with you. The only regret is that it wasn't for longer. Look forward to keeping in touch & seeing you again. :)

Mel is a great host. Se takes the role and responsibility veryriousl. Sheand I miscommunicated on my arrival time. She hopped in a cab and immediately came home to get me set up. She. Her apapatrtment is incredibly centrally located very clean and convenient. Mel goes so far as . I felt like I had found a great undisclosed peaceful urban hideaway. If you do stay with Mel, do bring her some foo and a large bottle of craft beer. She's a busy professional and her fridge is a wasteland. ;)

Stayed for 17 nights and it worked out great. Mel was very accommodating. Will definitely try and stay here again in the future.

An excellent spot if you're in DC and want to be close to both sights and nice neighborhoods. Mel is really great and helpful.We'd recommend her to anyone who wants a nice and clean place to stay.

This apartment was awesome and a great deal for the DC areal! The host Melissa were amazing! Very friendly and helpful! A wonderful place to stay !! If we are ever back in DC we are definitely going to try to stay with them again :)

Mel was very accommodating when our flight arrive really late in the night. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We loved the fact that her place was only couple blocks away from Whole Foods and about 15 minutes walk to all the museums and Washington Moueument. We had such a great first experience with Airbnb that I have been telling so many of my friends. I look forward to use Airbnb again for my future travels. Thanks again- Mel for letting us stay at your place! We truly enjoyed.

The host anounced that she wanted to cancel my reservation 39 days before arrival. She appologized for that and asked me if that was a problem and if I needed help to find another place in Washington. When I had another place the cancellation was definite. The reason for the cancellation was that she wanted to stay for the last time with her brother in Washington, before he would go to high school. Thats a good reason.

Once again, I found myself in what is truly the "best spot in the nation's capital". Melisa's place is so centrally located that whatever your plans during your stay in DC, this is the perfect place to set up camp. The apartment is well-maintained and equipped with everything you'll need. There are fantastic restaurants, bars, and nightclubs within walking distance and two Metro stations just a few blocks away.
