We are a Canadian/British couple,currently working in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Our daughter lives in Puerto Aventuras therefore we have been visiting the Yucatan Peninsular for several years now. As we continue to visit our family more frequently, we decided to buy a place of our own. Playa topped the list as the best place in the area to have a second home, it has everything we need to make our visits more enjoyable. Not only the wonderful beaches, and nearby places of interest but also fabulous restaurants, excellent supermarkets, cinemas etc. The bonus was our apartment was previously owned by an American Interior Designer, decorated with taste and care, therefore, immediately we saw it we knew this was a place where we would feel at home.
We are big travellers and go off on many adventures during the course of a year. We recently went on a round-the-world trip spending 9 months away. Our latest trip we went to the Arctic to see the Polar Bears, therefore we know what is important when you are away from home. The importance of being able to communicate with family and friends from time to time, therefore we installed high speed internet and wifi. Additionally, we installed a "Vonage" line with a US number so you can call home or your family can call you . On our last visit to Playa we added a flat screen TV and SKY box, so that you can enjoy viewing together in the cosy living area, but if you want to watch different channels then you have the possibility of watching in either of the bedrooms which also have SKY.
