I'm an American artist and teacher from Chicago, living and working in Paris. I've lived in several cities in the US, France, and Poland, and I've been in my current apartment for the last few years! I'm super excited to be living in a cozy area, full of cute cafés, shops, and places to hang out. I'm happy to share my place with visitors and to recommend local places to check out while they're here. I generally rent out my entire apartment when I go out of town so that guests can have plenty of privacy and easy access to Montmartre, the most beautiful neighborhood in Paris!
Everything was great. Really good location, can get anywhere quickly on the metro. Good grocery stores, cafes and anything else you would need very close by.
August 2011Kathy's apartment is in great location, very close to metro. The apartment is very cute and comfortable. We would love to come back and stay here again.
Terrific location. We visited Montmartre for ice cream nightly. We felt safe and had plenty of room for three. Neat freaks may wish for a more tidy place, but all the pluses trump this!
This is a great apartment in a great location of the city. The neighborhood is wonderful, covered with cafes and close to the metro to get anywhere in no time. This location is not filled with tourist and gives you the opportunity to experience the people and the city at its best. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.
This is an essential experience for any Parisian vacation! The location of Kasia's apartment is great! It is within walking distance of cute cafes, restaurants, boulangeries, everything you could want. It is not the closest to the traditional tourist attractions, but presents an opportunity to expereince daily life. The space is adequate for two people, any more may be a squeeze. The apartment is definitely lived-in so make sure you keep track of your belongings.
kathy's apartment was really good for the 2 of us. we got reliable information from kathy right before our stay and enjoyed the feeling of living there and not just being a tourist in an ordinary hotel. in the kitchen you find most stuff you need, just try to bring your own towels. there were enough supermarkets and small shops closeby to buy food, even during easter holidays.
Kasia's apartment was wonderful and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to Paris. The area is lovely and quiet and there are nice shops/cafes to explore. The supermarket/bakery and metro station are all within 5 mins of the apartment. The apartment itself is perfect for 2 people and had great heating/a washing machine and internet access. Kasia was also really helpful when we had some booking troubles and she sorted everything out for us. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend... More »
PROS: Nice neighborhood, steps away from the center of Montmartre. Good access to metro and easy to locate. Good layout in the apartment with a separate kitchen/eating area. Washing machine and cleaning supplies in the apartment. Kathy was quick to respond and is an extremely responsible host. CONS: We had problems with the cleanliness and finding sheets on the first day, but Kathy handeled any problems with the apartment once she was made aware of them. Even though the host was not... PROS: nice apartment, there was everything we needed, in a beautiful neighborhood, with cafè and restaurants, CONS: Kasia should take care differently of the guests transition, otherwise it happens to fall in the error to judge people without knowing facts and based on someone's else opinion.
Kasia's place was great. Great location and nice apartment. It was wonderful to come back to at the end of a day exploring Paris. We were there at the beginning of January, and although it was cold outside, the apartment was nice and warm and cozy. It was everything we wanted it to be- Thanks Kasia!
Kasia's place is cute and comfy, easily accessible (taxi from Gare du Nord at 6 EUR, or a short walk from any of the 3 close-by metro stops), yet still tucked away in a neighborhood that you will love. It's quiet at night (important for light sleepers) and very well equipped in spite of being tiny. We didn't meet her, but she was always caring and quick to respond. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Paris!
Great location for enjoying Montmartre and exploring Paris. We were sorry that we only met Kasia on her way out of town. It would have been nice to get to know her. Yet she was helpful and generous. I would recommend her apartment to anyone wanting a lovely quiet side of Paris.
Why bother with Hotels in Paris? Kasia's apartment was cute, clean and very reasonably priced. I spent two weeks there, and she was always reachable if I had any questions. Thanks Kasia!
We spent a wonderful month at Kasia's apartment, and found it bright, cozy, and welcoming. Her space is very comfortably arranged, with some lovely plants adding an extra homey touch. A perfect size for one person or a couple. The apartment is located on a quiet street in a lively, non-touristy part of Montmartre, steps away from countless cafes, specialty shops, and restaurants, not to mention 2 Metro stops. We didn't get to meet Kasia, but she was extremely friendly and easy to communicate... More »
Very well situated, Kasia's apartment is an excellent place to visit Paris, within walking distance to Montmartre, Pigalle or Barbès etc. We had liked to meet Kasia but obviously the place is only for two persons maximum.
Kasia was really easy to reach, her place is quite lovely in a beutiful side of town.
We had a great time in Paris, thanks to the comforts of Kasia's apartment. It was really convenient to the metro and to a number of great places to eat. (We recommend the boulangerie up the stairs and to the left). Kasia was a great hostess and everything was set up as we expected. Highly recommended. Thanks!!
Great location to the steps of an inclined city of ambiant cafes and you can take the steps down to the North African district ( Poisonner ) for a bustling market place and cheap finds ( extoic printed fabrics ). The place was clean and there were good books to read and the bed was comfortable.
Kasia's place was lovely! It was very cute and tidy, and everything was where she said it would be. Very close to the Sacre Coeur, and in a very cool neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend staying here. One tip I would have would be to be sure to print off a map and directions from the metro to her apartment beforehand, because the street she is on is very small and not well-known. Thanks so much Kasia, we have a fantastic time!
Kasia's Montmartre apartment was a perfect home-base for my week-long stay in Paris. Just a few minutes walk from the metro station, it was super easy to get around the city. All of the Montmartre attractions are in walking distance, and the neighborhood is full of bakeries, cafes, and markets. The apartment was fully stocked with all the necessities and I loved having a kitchen and washing machine at my disposable! My stay was comfortable and relaxing!
We had a wonderful stay at Kasia's apartment. We especially loved the bright, airy kitchen. Perfect place to sit and enjoy all of the great food and wine we discovered. The washing machine machine was a bonus. Her neighbourhood has tons of friendly bakeries, cheese shops, cafes and bistros. Good for wandering, and for getting what you need. Plus, it's close to a couple of metro stops so it's easy to get around.
Kasia was an extremely welcoming host & her apartment is perfect for a short break in a great area in Paris. After being ripped off elsewhere it was a delight to deal with someone so pleasant & straightforward.
excellent location, great value! was very comfortable and Kasia was friendly and a great host. Easy walking distance to metro, sacre coeur, everything you could want from Paris:) highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again!
Staying at Kasia's Montmartre residence on our first time in Paris was excellent. Location is great: northern side of Montmartre, which I found less touristy, patisseries/boulangeries/cafes on every corner, Carrefour market few minutes away, close to metro stations (Lamarck Caulaincourt/Jules Joffrin). We spent our early mornings walking all the way up to Sacre Coeur, also easy walking distance from the place. Kasia is kind and very gracious host. She even let me use her laptop to get my... More »
