An experienced and together traveler and an entirely pleasant guest. Was regretable feeling under the weather during her stay, but certainly did not make a big drama of this.

Hi Maria-anna, thank you for your review and kind words. Yes, one has to be lucky with the animals, they come and go as they please. We were lucky however on 31 december, when around 18:00 a big buffalo came to drink at the waterhole (seen from the stardeck). As the family with the 2 kids (the Stellaards) were the only ones on the terrace I quickly took them out in my Landrover and got really close to the buffalo. That was amazing! Lovely and friendly guests. We would love to accommodate them at Mafigeni Safari Lodge any day! We are very privileged to have had so much rain this summer, the animals really needed it after the very dry winter we had. This does cause the bush to be thick, dense and the grass grown very long very quickly and unfortunately makes it much harder to see the animals. We will make note of the upgrading of our interiors.

As I stated in a previous review, Maria-anna is great but she was only here for a day. Her partner would have to be reviewed separately and not here in this review.
