Martin's studio apartment is in a prime spot in the East village facing a park yet very secure and roomy. The bed was great, it had a good strong shower not to mention a kitchen!...which I didn't really use but nice to have if I needed to. As soon as we booked, Martin sent us a very thorough file with details on how to get into the apartment, little quirks (ie oven wasn't working but we could use the microwave or toaster oven; which knobs were for what in the bathroom), and a really nice list of local restaurants, pubs, and cafes. We didn't cook, so can't comment on the applicances. The apartment was clean, and full-size bed comfortable. The wifi worked (and he even told us how to reset if/when it didn't).

Martin was very easy to work with. The apartment was just as shown and very clean. There were a few problems, but these were quickly resolved and did not affect our stay. We recommend Martin and his apartment whole heartedly.
Martin's place is great! There were no surprises - the bed is super comfortable and the shower is fantastic. The building is unbelievably quiet and everyone was really friendly.
We had a lovely week in this apartment, its a wonderful space in a really interesting and lively neighbourhood. Martin was very helpful both befoore and during our stay. I hope we have a chance to return some time!
I just spent 2 weeks in Martin's studio and by the time I left it was feeling like home. Martin was very quick getting back to me with answers to my questions and was very helpful with advice and tips, both before and during my visit. It was my first time back in NY for 35 years and I couldn't have had a better time. The location is perfect, the apt was clean and very quiet even in the bustling neighborhood and the much needed air conditioning worked well. Would definitely recommend!
great place to stay. had everything I needed. very quiet and in a pleasant building. communicating with Martin was easy. I'd definitely stay there again.
Martin was a great potential host while I was searching for a place to stay in NYC by responding to my inquiry like a lightning and proved to be a great host by being a great communicator as I expected ( I should say I was impressed with his customer service skill). Martin and his girlfriend were great guests! it looked like they left the room cleaner than it actually was to begin with and they were really nice to talk to. I felt really comfortable with them here and i would gladly have them again anytime.
Martin is a great host!! He is very responsive and is willing to make sure all of his guests have a nice stay in NYC. His apartment is perfectly located in the best part of the city with lots of great bars and restaurants all around. I would stay at martin's place anyday, if I didn't already have my own...
Martin, besides being a good person and friend, is a great host. You can rest assured that all is as described; he communicates well and prompt with all his guests. The apartment is in a great location for you to explore the city. You will have a wonderful stay in his studio.
