the apartment was lovely and was left nice and clean for us. We found the apartment easy and was in a great location for getting food and travel links. Unfortunately mel was not there to sort keys and stuff out for us but had someone else to sort that out. Overall had a great stay and a great time, will be back again.

The appartment was comfortable and spacious,previous guests had not done much in the way of dusting or cleaning, but I know they left at short notice the previous evening,they had laundered the bedding and towels,and of course everyone has different standards. One problem which future guest maybe should be made aware of is, dog hairs,the sofas were covered in them.Once we had bought a couple of cheap blankets to throw over them it was no problem, (our 16yr old spaniel died last month,we do like dogs)but it could be if somone has an allergy.That aside we enjoyed our stay in Mels,we were very confortable the shower was excellent and the kitchen very well stocked.A quiet neighbourhood,(neighbours we met were very nice)we felt perfectly safe walking home late at night.Close to subway and Manhattan, but also has lots of good restaurants on nearby Graham Ave.and Grand St.Very good value, we would certainly rent Mels place again if it was available.

great place! great neighbouhood! we really enjoyed stayin at mels house... it also wasnt a problem to stay in her place some more days due the vulcano problem, that let us fortunaly stuck in nyc :) - we always wanna come back.
2 min to metro 15 min to union square 5 min to the heart of williamsburg - perfect place to stay!

Melanie was a great host:)
her apartement was clean and cosy...tSince her apartement is in Brooklyn,East williamsburgh,i was afraid that the neighboorhood was dangerous,but my fears were unjustified.the place is very safe,and close to evrything(laundry,metro,restaurants ann grocery stores).It is also only 15 minutes from Manhattan.
Seriously you get all those benefit + the comfort of home!
If you don't know New york,don't worry,Melanie is a very kind person ,she will look after her guests every need:)
I spent 2 weeks there and i do not regret any penny i spent for it.She even proposed to give me 2 more nights free!!!
i will definitively go back there:)
