Joshua was a lovely considerate host, even though he was away at the time. I would recommend his apartment - it really is lovely!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was a really great experience. It was our first time overseas and first time using airbnb, and we can't wait to do it again. Josh was really friendly and the apartment was awesome. As a young couple, we found it a lot better than staying in a hotel (which we did the first couple nights here). If you want to see Brooklyn (fantastic neighborhood) while still being close to manhattan (short train ride), this is the perfect place.

This was the first time my friend Sam and I used airbnb and it was a great experience. The apartment was warm and inviting; with its location near the Q train quite easy to get to and from Manhattan. Josh and Drew were fab hosts, even able to accommodate us for an additional two days at the end of our stay.We stayed for about two weeks during this time Josh was accessible via and email and phone to answer any questions we may have had. We would recommend this place to anybody.

Wonderful hosts who were very accommadating to my needs. Comfortable and clean; I had the coolest room during the heatwave earlier in the week. Nice combination of privacy and contact; Josh provides ideas on where to eat and how to get to know the neighborhood. Easy commute to the city on express train and safe short walk to the station. Thanks for the special touches like great coffee in the morning. I would return in a heart beat!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Josh and Drew for three nights last week: their apartment was lovely (!!!) and the bedroom was air-conditioned (given that it was ~ 90F, this was useful), and they were lovely (!!!) as well.
The neighbourhood made me desperately nostalgic for East London--it has the same wonderful confluence of 24-hour convenience stores + fabulous restaurants + arty/neighbourhood-y feel.
We spent nearly all of our time out and about--the commute to Manhattan on the Q train wasn't too lengthy, and we found it easy to get over to Clinton Hill as well.
On a broader note, this is my second time staying in Brooklyn non-hotels, and it's been a fabulous experience overall--it's much less like a vacation and more like crashing with friends, and it completely obliterates the staying-in-a-touristy-location-in-a-sterile-overpriced-room that has been the downfall of many a vacation, in my experience.

I can't say enough great things about both the apartment and Joshua. The apartment itself was amazing. The photos here can't do it justice. It is conveniently located close to the subway, as well as a plethora of great bars and restaurants right outside the door.
Upon my arrival, Joshua was there to meet us, giving us a rundown of both the apartment, the surrounding area and greater New York. He had written up a guide to the local restaurants and cafes, which came in extremely handy. Joshua also generously lent us his MOMA card, as well as his NY guide books.
This was my first time using airbnb and Joshua definitely helped make it an extremely positive experience.

The apartment was fantastic, very convenient to the subway and with lots of food & drink options right downstairs. The Sycamore, The Farm, Connecticut Muffin, Pop Vox, and the corner grocer with his pastrami bagels all kept us well fed and fueled! Thanks for everything!

Josh and Drew were truly suberb hosts and the apartment every bit as AMAZING as the pictures show! The neighbourhood was also spectacular with lots of great bars and restaurants. Josh was incredibly helpful and generous, he let us borrow his MoMA-pass and gave lots of good tips about stuff to do in NY (the Le Parker Meridian-burger is still the best I've ever had and Dream Hotels was like being in Sweet Smell of Success). Me and my friend Fredrik stayed a full month in Brooklyn and had the time of our lives. Felt like we actually lived there! Going to miss their wonderful apartment and hope we'll be able to return one day. Strongly recommend their place. Thanks for everything guys!

We loved our stay at Josh's apartment. His apartment is very warm and cozy...and surprisingly large! Josh was a very nice, friendly, generous and helpful host. Staying at his place really give of a proper taste of what it is like to live in Brooklyn. The neighbourhood is great, with lots of places to eat, and great little grocery stores to buy wonderful goodies to cook in Josh's wonderful kitchen. The subway is super close and on two lines, which made it so easy and convenient to get into Manhattan. I would highly recommend staying at Josh's...we were there for 11 nights and had a great experience! We are back home in Australia now and I must say I am missing his paint by numbers collection. Thanks so much for everything, Josh!

My twin teenagers and I enjoyed our stay at Josh's. He gave us excellent directions, the apt. was clean, bright, warm and welcoming. The eclectic neighborhood had everything we needed sundry and food-wise. Josh loaned us some very nice, small NYC and Brooklyn guides AND his MOMA pass which was awesome! We were able to see the Tim Burton exhibit (with his membership) which has been sold out every day. The beds were comfy, the hot water plentiful and Josh was very available by cell phone when questions about apt. cropped up. He left his Mac for us to use and even let us print some directions when we asked.

Joshua and Drew were superb hosts. Their apartment is incredibly cozy and well situated in a very trendy part of brooklyn. It is conveniently located near the Q train (about a 15 minute ride to Union Square).
Everything about my stay in their place was absolutely perfect. I stayed for 3 weeks while I got on my feet in NYC. Payment was a painless, and I always felt peace when I walked through the door into their apartment.
I HIGHLY recommend staying here.
