  Eli was a most gracious host, ensuring we understood where things were in Bologna. The room was a bit small, but there was room to lay out our things and move about. The bathroom was next to the bedroom and always accessible, even though it was a shared bath. We spent some time in the "garden" area in the mornings and evenings--lots of trees and birds.

  We loved our stay, we really had the sensation to be welcomed by a friend. If you're looking for a 4 stars hostel you're wrong but if you're looking for a very warm reception this is the place to be ! We had been welcomed by Irene who give us her time to have an amazing talk despite our language difficulties and made a carrot cake to welcome us ! That was a really friendly and strong moment. Thank you Irene. The house is very closed to the center.

  I felt welcome and at home. It was lovely to look out into a garden. Eli was very helpful with finding information and Irene shared a delicious home-cooked meal with me. I had everything I needed and will return there if I am ever in Bologne again.

  My sister and I stayed with Eli for 3 days and it was a wonderful experience. We arrived much later than we we're going to, but Eli and Irene were very gracious and even brought the exhausted travelers some tea. They gave us a map of the city, and showed us Bologna's greatest sights and even their favorite restaurant (we ate there twice)! The room was comfortable and clean, and the shower was always hot. I would definitely recommend staying here, I would go back again!

The room is also very nice and clean, the garden just wonderful and the location of the apartment is perfect: directly in the old town and just a 10 minutes walk from the main attractions of Bologna.
