Apartment is in an older set of buildings but well updated and maintained. Friendly and helpful resident managers on site. Terrific quiet location. Quick two-block walk to an absolutely marvelous beach, nightlife, restaurants. Lots of activity at the nearby (4-block walk?) pier--artists, street performers, and the like.
We didn't see much in the line of basic support facilities like supermarkets or gas stations nearby, so take care of that sort of stuff before you get to the beach area. WiFi service inside the apartment was spotty, but signal was great once you got out into the patio area.
We'd come back!
