I had a very enjoyable stay with Amanda, and would recommend it unhesitatingly, and with gusto. Its worth getting a map of the streets as this place can be confusing - Washington that is.

Amanda and Alex are very gracious hosts. The location of their home is in a wonderful residential neighborhood, within walking distance of a myriad of attractions and restaurants. The room is comfortable, clean and quiet. Their dog, Shadow, is very sweet.

Capitol Hill is a lovely, safe, fun, walkable area, convenient to metros, and many restaurants. Amanda is gracious and helpful; called a taxi for me to get back to the airport. Coffee always available. Didn't get to see enough of Shadow, their beautiful greyhound. Can't wait to go back. Try to stay over a week-end when you can walk down to busy Eastern Market.

Perfect location on Capitol hill on a tree-lined street, with easy walking to Union Station and several nice cafes. Comfy bed, clean room. Would have liked a night stand. Nice priv. bath, limited linens. Loved the dog. No coffee or anything in the a.m. Written instructions in the room stated that tv viewing downstairs was forbidden, and that we were "renters not roommates."

Amanda and her partner were wonderful hosts. We had plenty of freedom to come and go. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and space was thoughtfully provided in the closet and dresser. Amanda and her partner are friendly and easy to converse with and made us feel very welcome. The dog is the gentlest of souls. The location was ideal.

We had a great visit and enjoyed our comfortable room and convenient bathroom. Great location; wonderful restaurant recommendations (please include addresses on list in future). Amanda, Alex and Shadow are terrific hosts!

Clean, cute, cozy bedroom with private full bath with excellent water pressure and limited kitchen privileges and wireless internet fast enough for Hulu. Hosts are friendly and laid back. They also have a very nice greyhound dog. This apartment is only 10 minutes walking distance from Union Station and close to the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and U.S. Capitol. Neighborhood is near Eastern Market farmers' market and is quiet.
Recommend: putting trash can in bedroom, extra roll of toilet paper in bathroom, putting name of wireless network on welcome sheet because there are several networks, nightstand near bed for putting drinks/food.
I think you'll have a good time here.

Excellent hosts! Had lots of fun with Shadow, their friendly dog! Loved the bed and the shower. Very close to pretty much everything in DC. Totally recommended! Guys, I am still waiting for you guys to come to Brazil! :)
